Hillary Scott & The Scott Family pave the way for Love Remains Album, available July 29th

Scott Revealed Deeply Personal Story Behind "Thy Will"
on Good Morning America Today

The Moving Music Video for LOVE REMAINS' Debut Single Premieres on VEVO

NASHVILLE, TN - June 20, 2016 - As part of this morning's exclusive sit-down interview with ABC's Good Morning America, seven-time GRAMMY award-winning Lady Antebellum member Hillary Scott announced July 29th as the release date of LOVE REMAINS (EMI Nashville) by Hillary Scott & The Scott Family.

"The process of making this album has been not only creatively inspiring but I’ve also really been able to grow as a person," shared Hillary Scott. "We’ve had this intense concentrated amount of time as a family together, which has been so special. With all that we’ve gone through together, the highs, the lows - to be able to process all of that together, to heal together, to grieve together, to laugh, to cry, all of those things...it’s just been such a continuation of solidifying the strong foundation that we have in our family."

After the passing of her grandfather in 2011, Hillary alongside mother Linda Davis, father Lang Scott and younger sister Rylee, leaned on their faith and music as a source of hope through the difficult time. The Scott family yearned to thank loved ones for their support and set out to record demos of family-favorite hymns.
As the summer of 2015 wound down and Lady Antebellum soaked-in time off the road, the family's plans for a five song CD as a gift to family and friends, blossomed into what is now LOVE REMAINS.

The 13-track collection of faith-based songs is a combination of hymns Hillary grew up singing in church, newly-written originals and songs made popular by other artists. With the help of producer Ricky Skaggs, the forthcoming album blurs the lines between gospel, bluegrass, country and pop. At the center of the mix are the rich, entwined voices of the Scotts, who take turns harmonizing and singing lead.

"We didn’t want to make a sad record," noted Lang Scott. "You’re always sad when you lose a loved one, but if you have that faith, it gives you hope. It gives you the courage to press on.”

While the upcoming album's lead single "Thy Will" offers that universal message of hope, today on Good Morning America, Hillary also shared her own personal struggle that led to "baring her soul like never before" (People). She revealed that the song was written about a more recent dark chapter in her life, a sudden miscarriage of her second pregnancy during the fall of 2015.

LOVE REMAINS offers plenty to believe in. These are songs that find the redemption in struggle, the peace in death, the joy in bonding with family members whenever times are tough. The stories behind the songs are personal, it's music with a message and Hillary Scott has rarely sounded more at home.

In addition to co-writing six chart-topping Lady A hits including the 6x PLATINUM hit “Need You Now," Scott has also written for artists such as Blake Shelton and Sara Evan's No. one hit, "A Little Bit Stronger." As a former MTSU student, the university recently started a scholarship in her honor for young women seeking a career in the music industry.

Sasha McVeigh unveils Dierks Bentley cover ahead of US Country Festival appearances

Ahead of a summer on the Country Festival
circuit in the States,
Sasha McVeigh honours musical icon Dierks Bentley
BBC Radio London Live session

(Expanded Press Release)
Sasha McVeigh exclusively covers Dierks Bentley's track, 'I'll Be The Moon', from his latest album, 'Black', as part of Essentially Pop's Essential Covers feature.

Lovely 22-year old Sasha McVeigh is the Hereford born and raised singer/songwriter currently taking the States by storm. Having been the only British act to appear on the main stage of no less than 5 of the US' most prominent country festivals, Sasha unveiled her debut album I STAND ALONE to critical acclaim last year.
Declared “a ray of sunshine” by Taste of Country, Sasha is excited to be debuting new material upon her return to the States this summer, where she is once again the most prominently placed British Country artist.

Ahead of the tour, Sasha's has unveiled new single When I'm Over You, which has proved a runaway success - with approaching 120,000 streams on Spotify already - having garnered heavy praise from Bob Harris, who has played it several times on his BBC Radio 2 show.
Sasha McVeigh UK Americana/ Country artist, again I love her music….it's a song that means a lot to Sasha it’s called "When I'm Over You" and YES indeed she does bear an amazingly strong resemblance to Lady Gaga, there's no doubt about that" - Bob Harris (OBE) BBC Page

Of the single, Sasha said 'When I'm Over You' is a song that wasn’t meant to be written because, by writing it, I had to admit what I’d spent so long trying to hide. I wasn’t over him. But letting myself be vulnerable and writing this song made me realise it’s okay not to have moved on. It’s okay to be sad sometimes because that proves what I felt was real. One day I will let him go but until then I’ll keep that unnamed number in my phone.'

She has also been heavily supported by Bauer, Chris Country, Amazing and BBC Regional - with Gaby Roslin inviting her in for a session and declaring her 'amazing'.
Sasha McVeigh joined Gaby Roslin on BBC Radio London on her Sunday 22 May 2016 show (BBC Page) Not only has she new fans in Blue's Antony Costa and Chesney Hawkes, but she performed a stunning First Aid Kit (SE) OFFICIAL cover.

It also features a 16-page, full colour booklet - Image
Sasha explained to her fans on social media that the album title is not a statement of her solitude, but rather signifying that she intends to stand out from the crowd. She explained. 'Nobody should be afraid to be who they are.'

Reviews
Bottom line is this is a very good debut well worth a listen and it fills me with joy that a young British writer and singer is producing country music of this calibre -  Chris Smith (Country Music People; 4 STARS out of 5)

Overall ‘I Stand Alone’ is an incredibly accomplished piece of music. One of the things that really impressed me was the variety within the album, from the sassy ‘No Strings Attached Romance’, to ‘Hot Mess’, which brings out an almost Miranda-esque, rock chick vibe to it. Depending on your mood ‘I Stand Alone’ has a little bit for everyone. ‘You Only Live Once’ is another of the songs that gets you in the feels. With her unique vocals and song-writing ability to match many a well established act, Sasha McVeigh is going place and I look forward to tracking her career with interest. The BAD NEWS

Sasha had to pull out of Country Fest (June 17) & Country Stampede (June 23) because her visa/green card is still not ready. Someone in the US government office inadvertently (in their words) sent her paperwork to the wrong place. So Sasha is stuck in the UK, devastated not to be there. Sasha received wonderful comments of encouragement and support, especially from her Wisconsin & Minnesota fans who were supposed to be seeing her perform. They brought tears to her eyes - the good kind - with their sweet words.
Many were wearing their Sasha McVeigh wristbands and t-shirts!
Sasha’s band, who are Loveless Effect, read out a letter to the Country Stampede crowd on her behalf who took her place on the main stage. “Country Stampede, you are like family to me and I am absolutely heartbroken!....Read more Facebook Post

The process has changed, drastically, since our first time in the studio so many years ago” expressed Moore. “This is the best piece of music we've delivered because it gets more fun each time. Naming the album KINDA DON’T CARE is not meant to be nonchalant or careless. It's meant to be a challenge to folks to live life a little more freely and be true to themselves.”

KINDA DON’T CARE is the follow-up to Moore’s back-to-back Gold-Certified albums: JUSTIN MOORE (2009); the #1 debuting OUTLAWS LIKE ME (2011) and OFF THE BEATEN PATH (2013).

His cleverly-penned new single, “You Look Like I Need A Drink” (Valory Music Group), is Top 20-and-climbing at Country radio.

My Kind Of Country Single Review: Mark Chesnutt – ‘Oughta Miss Me By Now’
It’s always a good news day when you hear Mark Chesnutt has released new music. His first album in eight years is due next month, with the encouraging title, Tradition Lives, and in the mean time here is the first single.
Written by Tony Ramey and Trey Matthews, this is an excellent song about the aftermath of a breakup, loaded with irony. The man is missing his ex, and even kind of stalking her, but is making no actual effort to get her back. Yet he is surprised that she hasn’t come back to him. Plaintively he bemoans the fact that she doesn’t ring him, even though he admits he hasn’t tried calling her either. Somehow one isn’t surprised it’s not working out – but Mark’s emotionally compelling vocals make one sympathise with his pain regardless.

CMT MUSIC AWARDS 2016 PERFORMANCES

Keith Urban opened the night with his "RIPCORD TOUR" buddies Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris backing him up on "Wasted Time."

Blake Shelton and The Oak Ridge Boys collaboratedg on "Doin' It To Country Songs" from Shelton's latest album and the OAKS classic "Elvira;"

MASHVILLE - Singers and musicians have to know they’re connecting with their peers when they look into the audience and see Keith Urban singing along with them, especially on a song that was released less than two weeks ago. That was the scenario Wednesday night June 8,2016 at the CMT Music Awards when Dierks Bentley and singer-songwriter Elle King teamed up for “Different for Girls,” a track from his new album, BLACK.
With King singing and playing banjo, the thought-provoking lyrics provide a commentary on some of the basic differences between the sexes.

Carrie Underwood showed the audience and viewers exactly why she took home the trophy for Performance of the Year.
The country artist absolutely floored her fellow musicians, like Keith Urban and Luke Bryan, with a rendition of “Church Bells”. Both guys gave her a standing O for her powerful pipes, along with Underwood's hubby, Mike Fisher.
The singer's performance included a mysterious man plucking a banjo hidden in the shadows and crescendo with a gospel choir.

Cassadee Pope and British vocalist Leona Lewis provided the additional vocal power when Pitbull performed “Messin’ Around” on the 2016 CMT Music Awards. Those who gravitate toward country radio may not be aware of Pitbull’s hit which features Enrique Iglesias, but the musical signatures from REO Speedwagon‘s AOR hit “Take It on the Run” have a universal connection that transcend musical genres.

Cam became the sixth member of Fifth Harmony during one of the Wednesday night highlights. Cam, who came to prominence in country music with the hit “Burning House,” had a huge grin on her face when the harmonious voices kicked in during her performance of “Mayday.” She effortlessly segued into the vocal group when the music moved to Fifth Harmony’s current pop hit, “Work From Home”
Cam & Fifth Harmony, "Mayday/Work From Home" LIVE at 2016 CMT Music Awards: Full Performance:

An Elvis Presley hit from 1956 proved to be a perfect choice for Billy Ray Cyrus‘ collaboration with Cheap Trick.
As Wednesday night’s (June 8) first performance on the Broadway stage in downtown Nashville, it was appropriate that Cyrus portrayed an Elvis impersonator on CMT’s new series, STILL THE KING, and that Cheap Trick had a Top 10 hit with “Don’t Be Cruel” in 1988. Between Cyrus’ onstage swagger and Cheap Trick’s usual sledgehammer performance of their anthem, “Surrender,” it got the crowd into a festive mood as night fell in Music City.

Florida Georgia Line performed "H.O.L.Y."
Carrie Underwood performed "Church Bells"
Chris Stapleton performed "Parachute"

Thomas Rhett performed "T-Shirt"
