GOOD EVANS!
I think I'm still in a bit of shock right now! Along with being completely career focused, I've always hoped to have a "somewhat" traditional life and be married. For many years that didn't seem to be possible. Now here I am, engaged to the love of my life and about to release an album that feels like the strongest body of work we have ever released. Through all of its ups and downs, life is turning out pretty well for this girl!

Jess and the Bandits lead singer Jess Clemmons has announced her engagement after a whirlwind romance with Leesburg, Georgia native and Fredericksburg, Texas based photographer Chris Peavey (website).

Having established herself a solo artist, Jess broke into the mainstream consciousness when BBC Radio 2 championed her single “Single Tonight” in January 2014. The legendary Sir Terry Wogan was blown away by her vocal and invited her to join him in the studio, where her cover of Sir Glen Campbell’s Wichita Lineman prompted him to state ‘that was the most fabulous song that I’ve ever heard’. She has received great support from Radio 2, also finding fans in Bob Harris and Gaby Roslin over the years.

The summer of 2015 saw Jess announced as the ambassador of British plus size fashion chain Evans. Following in the footsteps on Chaka Khan and Beth Ditto, Jessica fronted the #StyleHasNoSize campaign, recording a music video for her single ‘Nitty Gritty’ with the brand and winners of a competition to feature in the clip. She was the very first country artist to figure-head a high-street chain in the UK.
Her appearance on Songs of Praise in 2016 showed her spiritual side, while a deluxe release of the band’s debut album Here We Go Again once again entered the UK Official Country Charts Top 20 and saw support from Spotify, who have repeatedly playlisted her music.

The deluxe version of ‘Here We Go Again’ featured a cover of Lee Brice’s ‘I Don’t Dance’, one of Jess’ favourites which she believes would be the perfect wedding song!

Having been busy in the studio over the last six months, working on the follow-up to the #6 charting debut album, Jess is also gearing up for another busy summer of festivals this year, including appearances at Buckle & Boots Country Festival and Cottingham Folk Festival – that is around her wedding planning of course!
