Born & Raised in Newark Nottingham England, Nicola Harris is a modern country singer-songwriter and has been a highly successful professional singer since she was 16 years of age. How do I get Absolute Radio Country?
ABOUT Absolute Radio
Country:
The
station originally launched as Country Hits Radio on 5 April 2019 and
was positioned as the UK's first national country music radio station.
The
station is focused on modern country music and is aimed at
listeners of 25–44.
RAJAR for Early 2020 put the
station on an average of 257K listeners per week. Survey period July 2021 to
December 2021 is was revised down to 205,000 listeners per week.
Absolute
Radio Country is available on DAB in London, Birmingham, Manchester,
Liverpool, Leeds, South Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Lancashire, East Yorkshire,
Tyne & Wear, Teesside, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Tayside, Inverness and Ayr.
In
2021, it was also made available on digital radio in Bristol and Bournemouth. It did broadcast nationally across the on 1215 kHz MW until the closure of medium wave
transmissions on 20 January 2023. Absolute Radio also lost its FM
frequency in London in 2021 in favour of the ever-expanding Greatest Hits Radio
network. The move made Absolute Radio a digital-only service, broadcasting
nationally on DAB and online.
In February 2021 Bauer revealed that the station would be renamed as Absolute Radio Country and made part of the Absolute Radio Network - the transition took place on 17 May 2021, in tandem with other changes to the availability of Absolute's digital stations.
In June 2022, a sister station called Absolute Radio Classic Country was added to Bauer's Absolute Radio Premium subscription streaming package.

CountryLine
Radio’s founder and breakfast show host Chris Stevens originally launched Chris
Country in 2013 and continued to manage it since the station was acquired
by CountryLine Media in March 2020
Chris
Stevens left the radio station at
the end of July 2022. Chris said “Running a radio station is a full-time
job, and while I’ve loved every minute of it, it’s taken over my life in the
last few years. Now that I’m the dad of a toddler, I want to be able to spare
more time with my family while still being a massive country music fan. The
radio station team are wonderful, and I’ve no doubt that the station will
continue to go from strength to strength.”
Over
the years, Chris took the station from being an online passion project to being
on all platforms including DAB Radio in London, where CountryLine is the
capital’s biggest country station by some distance.
He
was also awarded a CMA award in 2018 for broadcasting (CMA International
Broadcaster).

CountryLine Media’s founder Simon Walker added: “We’ll miss having Chris on the team, but we understand that family must come first. We’re excited to continue his vision and to build on the strength of CountryLine Radio as it works with our CountryLine TV team in the UK and Nashville.”
Chris continued to run Ignite Jingles and Devaweb and is a part-owner of TM Studios in Dallas.
On March 9, 2023 Chris won his second CMA International Broadcaster Award presented to him at the O2 during the Country To Country (C2C2023) Songwriters evening.

Robert Brinley Joseph Harris OBE (born 11 April 1946), popularly known as "Whispering Bob" Harris, is an English music presenter known for being a host of the BBC2 music programme The Old Grey Whistle Test, and as a co-founder of the listings magazine Time Out.
Harris has been broadcasting on the BBC for 50 years and has
been recognised with the Americana
Music Association of America Trailblazer
Award, a UK Heritage Award, and a MOJO Medal, as well as his OBE
for services to broadcasting.
In
spring 1997, Harris returned to the national airwaves, this time on BBC
Radio 2, where he took up an 11 pm – 1 am Saturday night slot. Harris
eventually quit GLR in late 1998 as he took over another show for Radio 2, Bob
Harris Country, (previously David Allan's Country Club) on Thursday
evenings from 7 to 8 pm, from 8 April 1999.

continues on Thursdays currently 9 pm.
Harris
has presented the C2C: Country to Country festival live from The O2
Arena in London every year since its inception in 2013 and simultaneously
broadcasts over BBC Radio 2 Country which was first established in 2015, the
same year when Harris was given his own stage to present at the festival.

International Broadcaster of the Year 2004
Awarded
the Trailblazer Award by the Americana Music Association in 2011.
Harris
was appointed Officer of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2011 Birthday Honours
for services to music broadcasting.
On
the red carpet of the 2012 CMA awards, Harris was awarded the CMA Wesley
Rose International Media Achievement Award by Little Big Town.
In
2013, Harris won his second CMA International Broadcaster of the Year
Award.
On the last day of the 2016 Country to Country festival, Harris was awarded his second CMA Wesley Rose International Media Achievement Award by Kacey Musgraves.
On Day 2 of C2C 2017, Kristian Bush surprised Harris with his third CMA International Broadcaster of the Year Award (See All Winners )
