Rapper 2 Chainz sees his debut studio album "Based on a T.R.U. Story" debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 146,626 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Despite a drop of 3 places for Zac Brown Band's UNCAGED its 24,879 copies sold this week (down week on week by 20%) was enough to secure the Top the Billboard Country Chart once more ousting last weeks #1 Colt Ford's country/rap induced DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE which sold 16,306 copies (weekly drop in sales of 48%) in its second week, and dropped from number five to number 20 on The Top 200 and landing at #4 on the Country chart.
This is the fifth week on top of the country chart for UNCAGED, a total matched in 2012 by just two albums: Lady Antebellum's Own The Night (which had six weeks at #1 this year, on top of seven weeks at #1 in 2011) and Carrie Underwood's BLOWN AWAY (five weeks).
Carrie experiences some sales gains reaching another 17,899 fans moving up to #2 and with a 706,736 tally blows right past the 700,000 marker.

Eric Church with CHIEF (#7 Country) sold another 12,117 copies to gain his first Platinum album with a total retail sales haul of 1,001,355.
Jason Aldean rounds out the Top 10 as MY KINDA PARTY enjoys its 94th week on the Top 200 and it has become the first album by a male country solo artist to top the 500K mark in digital sales out of a 2,724,609 total.

Blackberry Smoke spent several years as an independent band, before signing with Zac Brown's label, Southern Ground, last year. But while the band admits it's a relief to finally be signed with a label that is completely supportive of their genre-bending music, they say they would still continue making music even without the support of a record company, thanks to their dedicated fan base. Blake Shelton makes it seven out of seven with his latest singles to hit radio. His emotional hit "Over" tops the charts this week, making for his seventh consecutive single to claim the No. 1 bragging rights.

Written by David Elliott Johnson and Paul Jenkins, "Over" is the fourth song released from Blake's platinum-selling RED RIVER BLUE album. It follows on from the No. 1 hits "Honey Bee," "God Gave Me You," "Drink on It," "Who Are You When I'm Not Looking," "All About Tonight" and "Hillbilly Bone."
It was released on May 21, 2012 by Warner Bros. as the fourth single from his sixth studio album.
The smooth baritone singer can deliver most songs with authenticity and with “Over” he promises he’ll do anything to win a woman.

Not that they’ve ever been fans of Taylor Swift, but country music’s traditional fans may never ever (want) to get back together with her but the 22-year old is most certainly a much sought after commidity in the nicest sense of the word. She is flying high this week as her brand new punky country-pop anthem single "We Are Never Ever Get Back Together," her lead single from RED , debuted at #1 on all genres, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Taylor Swift has set the record for the biggest digital sales week ever for a song by a woman.
"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" sold 623,000 in the week ending Aug. 19, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and it thus debuts at No. 1 on Billboard's Digital Songs chart.
Not only is it the best week ever for a woman, but the second largest ever. Only Flo Rida's "Right Round" has sold more in a week, when it debuted at No. 1 with 636,000 on the Digital Songs chart dated Feb. 28, 200.
The previous high-water mark among female acts was Ke$ha's "TiK ToK," which moved 610,000 on the chart dated Jan. 9, 2010 (reflecting the busy post-Christmas week of 2009). Swift also nets the largest debut week among women. Previously that feat was held among female acts by Lady Gaga's "Born This Way", having launched at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Digital Songs chart with 448,000, back in the week of Feb. 26, 2011. A figure racked up that after only three days on sale.
The enters a host of genre airplay charts this week, including Country Songs, where its No. 13 launch is the highest by a woman in the 22 years that BDS data has powered the survey.
As for Swift, her best previous sales week was racked by "Love Story," which sold 360,000 over Christmas of 2008 (Digital Songs chart dated Jan. 10, 2009).
Her highest debut week came with "Today Was a Fairytale," which sold 325,000 on the Feb. 6, 2010 chart.

In the wake of the mighty “Never” debut is Tay ’s fellow crossover star Carrie Underwood who with sales of 87K passed the 500,000 mark with a current total of 523K has therefore surpassed Gold status with the title track to her fourth album BLOWN AWAY. It looks like Carrie will have to be happy with #2 for quite a while.
The Little Big Town hit of the country summer, “Pontoon,” drops from #1 to #3 and will float past platinum single sales next week.
Jason Aldean’s “Take A Little Ride,” at number #5 is also ready to motor past the Gold certification mark next week.
At #14 Dustin Lynch’s “Cowboys And Angels” may just achieve the Certified Gold figure next week too or Platinum next week having currently sold 476K copies
By a mere 2,000 copies Josh Turner’s “Time Is Love” just fell short this week of a Gold single with his Top 10 radio hit.
Will Taylor Swift’s single, already Gold in week one, make it to Platinum in week two for an artist that does much to boost the country music scene.
