New to me is up and coming London based Country/Pop/Soul, singer/songwriter Jeannine Barry. The UK’s capital is where she lives, performs and records.
She has lived in many different places one which was Berlin where she met David Lee Brewer (Photo). Jeannine is being mentored and vocally trained by the American vocal coach and TV presenter who taught artists such as Beyonce Knowles, H-Town, Letoya Luckett and many more.

He is convinced that Jeannine will make it big in the Country music world and believes her "stunning song"
After auditioning for David, he immediately heard that she is a Country singer. He guided her into the country genre direction, a place she feels at home. She started penning her own material working with several producers such as Rares Cara (Sido), Loomis Green (Jan Delay). A personal highlight then was performing her own version of “Amazing Grace” with an Orchestra in the Berlin Philharmonic in front of an audience of 2000.
Jeannine writes alone and she says her lyrics are personal, real, and about things that move her. Her aim is to impart what matters to her with the world and through her music, touch other people’s lives in a positive way.
Barry is also planning on going over to Nashville where she has already made some useful contacts. Earlier in 2012 she had a meeting at BMI at their London office where she showcased her songs live and was promised help with contact when she decides to visit the US.
- She has finished recording an EP with producer Denis Gajetic (Gadget Studios) which is due to be released on the 29th of November 2012 on iTunes and a new video is in the pipeline.
- For now she tweets: Jeannine Barry @Jeannine_Barry First 100 downloads of my latest song "Mind Games" are Free - Visit soundcloud.com

41st Country Music Awards of Australia Finalists Announced – (Mon Nov 12, 2012)
The Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA) has announced the finalists in the 41st Annual Country Music Awards of Australia:
Catherine Britt has received an impressive seven nominations around her fifth studio album ‘Always Never Enough’, which Catherine produced with Bill Chambers. It took more than four years of rebuilding her career here for Catherine Britt to be welcomed back into the arms of the Australian country music scene. Britt took full veins of her fifth album in 10 years, ALWAYS NEVER ENOUGH, producing and writing every track.
''I have been around a long time but was away (in Nashville) a lot and have been rebuilding my career in Australia literally from scratch,'' she said at the nominations event today.
''One of my first tours home, I opened up for Troy [Cassar-Daley] and now it's really special to get this validation from the industry after working so hard to get back on track.''
Troy Cassar-Daley, whose career-to-date awards tally includes twenty-one Golden Guitars, eight Deadlys and four ARIA’s, is also a finalist in seven categories. Cassar-Daley said he welcomed the generational change represented by this year's nominations with Luke O'Shea, Tamara Stewart, Harmony James, Travis Collins and McAlister Kemp among the contenders for the major awards - ''I think they make you do your time. I've been a fan of Travis Collins for years and had harmony James out on tour with us; it's great to see these artists connect.''
The McClymonts, back in Australia after a year of international touring, are nominated for five Golden Guitars. Sam McClymont said the country music audiences and industry in Australia didn't pay as much attention to chart success as they did to live performance.''They want to see you have been travelling, headed out to all the regional areas and that you have longevity,''
Also receiving 5 nominations are Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson with ‘Wreck & Ruin’, their sublime second offering as a duo.
Other multiple finalists are country music icons John Williamson and Colin Buchanan, each with four nominations.
Sara Storer, in what has been a quiet year professionally, also has four nominations via her two prominent collaborations.
Harmony James, Tamara Stewart, Luke O’Shea, 2012 Toyota Star Maker winner Bob Corbett and hard working video director Duncan Toombs are all nominated three times.
The 2013 nominees are an exciting mix of established artists and new faces, some signed to labels and an increasing number self funded. They also represent a broad stylistic range.
The New Talent category has the strongest group of nominees: Bob Corbett, Chelsea Basham, Chris E Thomas, Harry Hookey and Kristy Cox are all outstanding new artists worthy of the recognition that comes with a Golden Guitar.
The 41st CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia will be staged at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre (TRECC) on Australia Day, January 26th, 2013.

Billboard Story - Taylor Swift to Outdo Herself on 'Red' Tour: 'I Like for It to Be Big' .."I like for it to be big -- as big as possible," Swift explains. "If we can make a show that dazzles people more than the last tour, then I'll have done my job in the right way. I just want to be able, in this economy, to make a show that for fans is definitely a guarantee that they will be entertained enough to warrant them leaving their house, spending their evening with me, parking their car, waiting in line, maybe buy a T-shirt. I want them to be so happy that they decided to spend their time with me -- I think that's my biggest objective. And the element of surprise is still really important in a concert and showing scenes and images and visuals that are magical. I really like to take people to a different world and change things up constantly, never showing them too much of the same thing too many times in a row."

Lynn Anderson has turned to her mother’s catalog for her new single “Day One,” an emotional, break-up track sure to resonate with anyone experiencing loss this holiday season. The timing is perfect for this single as Thursday, Nov 15th marks the most recognized day for ending relationships, known socially as “Dump Day.”
“Everyone handles losing a loved one differently and those wounds seems to burn the brightest when one is left alone during the holiday season,” says Lynn.
“We lost mother last fall and this time of year seems a little colder without her around. That’s what led us in the direction of this track when Dad and I were looking through her songs.”

Mary Gauthier has a new live album coming out in February titled MADE-IN-TEXAS LIVE.
But even though her six albums have received countless accolades (2005’s Mercy Now earned her the Americana Music Association’s New/Emerging Artist of the Year title, and 2011’s The Foundling was named the No. 3 Record of the Year by the L.A. Times), Gauthier felt she needed to rack up her pilot hours, so to speak, before she could hit another major milestone: recording a live album. When she was ready, she captured Live at Blue Rock (In the Black Records) at a concert at the Blue Rock Artist Ranch and Studio in Wimberley, Texas, outside of Austin. It’s set for release on February 7, 2013.
“People have been asking for a live CD for a long time and I just knew that I wasn’t ready yet,” admits Gauthier. “It took 10 years of trench work. Of bein’ out there, banging my head against all the things an artist has to bang against. Indifference. Poor attendance. Situations that are over your head. Every night, curve ball, curve ball, curve ball. But stagecraft cannot be taught. You have to be onstage to learn it. So after ten years of doin’ it, I got good at it.”

Taylor Swift sparkled on the red carpet at the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards held in Frankfurt, Germany last weekend. She looked simply beautiful wearing a gorgeous nude and grey white dress from the Fall 2012 collection by J. Mendel, which featured silver and icy-white beaded embellishments in funky diamond, chevron and illusion panels along the drop waist bodice and cap-sleeves. The sheer cut-out panels only added more sexiness to the gown. (Fashion Image)
This slinky design was well suited for the “Love Story” singers long slender frame. Tay styled the dress with Neil Lane jewels, smoky eyes, glossy wavy hair and the nude lip colour was a big change to her usual statement red (which was back when she collected her first award and live performance).
She wore Christian Louboutin N°Prive peep-toe slingbacks (Image). These heels are from an older collection featuring dark beige suede and covered platform. You can find them online in black & white mosaic at: Neiman Marcus, berry patent leather at Net-A-Porter and in nude, red & black at Christian Louboutin US.

COUNTRY GOSSIP
Taylor Swift has said would date a ginger-haired man.The 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' hitmaker - who has previously dated Hollywood hunks Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Lautner as well as music stars John Mayer and Joe Jonas - would love to be romantically involved with a flame-locked guy and admits she particularly likes 'Harry Potter' star Rupert Grint.
She said: "I like people with red hair, I would do a ginger. I like Rupert Grint, the guy from the 'Harry Potter' films."
The 22-year-old singer is known to be a big fan of flame-haired singer Ed Sheeran - who she collaborated with on new song 'Everything Has Changed' - and she thinks it is the "coolest thing ever" that he has got a new tattoo of her album title 'Red' on his arm. She added: "He has a tattoo on his arm and it says 'Red', which is after my new album. I think that is the coolest thing ever. I love that. I mean, it's permanent”
Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy broke things off weeks ago, but her love for the Kennedy family is still burning strong.
The New York Post reports that things may not be over for the couple, who dated for only three months, as the two are likely to run into each other at the RFK Gala on Dec. 4. Sources told the paper that Swift is still in contact with Conor, and she's remained very close to the Kennedy family, who have publicly professed their adoration for her as well. The 22-year-old singer confirmed she'll be attending the event, hosted by Ethel Kennedy, widow of Robert F. Kennedy, while Alec Baldwin will serve as master of ceremonies.
Taylor Swift says she only talks to her friends about boys. The 22-year-old singer’s close pals include Emma Stone and Selena Gomez and although all three are hugely successful in their professional lives and renowed for their fashion sense, they never talk about work or style, only guys. Taylor told American Harper's Bazaar magazine: "I don't tend to spend a lot of money on the big things, like cars but I'll rent a house on the beach or something, bring my girlfriends." We never talk about fashion, about career, about our ambitions or our projects. We just talk about relationships, feelings, love, and boys."
Taylor also revealed she hates to be in control in a relationship - "It needs to be equal. If I feel too much like I'm wearing the pants, I start to feel uncomfortable and then we break up” She is currently the cover feature on US Weekly magazine
Taylor Swift has plenty of nicknames (like T-Swizzle, Swifty, Tay Tay and T-Swift, just to name a few). And while the pop-country superstar doesn’t seem to mind most of the endearing terms that her fans and friends create for her, one nickname — which was given by none other than former tourmate Brad Paisley - did earn the distinction of worst nickname ever for the 22-year-old.
“When I was on the Brad Paisley tour, they called me Tater Tot,” Swift told Time.
Of course, Paisley well-known for playing pranks on his tourmates while on the road, so it’s no surprise Swift was on the receiving end of one of his classic practical jokes. But the ‘name calling’ didn’t stop there. “And the name on my dressing room was changed to Tater Swift every single day!” Swift explained. “It was like being teased by your big brother.”
LeAnn Rimes is reportedly in the running to fill the vacancy left by judge Sharon Osbourne on ‘America’s Got Talent.’
