live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday June 4, 2014.
Country Music
Television (typically abbreviated as CMT) is an American basic cable and
satellite television channel that is owned by the MTV Networks Music & Logo
Group, a unit of the Viacom Media Networks division of Viacom.
LeAnn Rimes, Rascal Flatts, Cassadee Pope, actor James Van Der Beek, actress Kate
Walsh, CMT’s Broken Skull Ranch host Steve
Austin, actress Beth Behrs and
actress Brooklyn Decker were
included in the line up as presenters.

All of country
music's biggest names gathered together for the Awards (Presented by Verizon)
in Tennessee, hosted by Kristen Bell.
It's Country
music's original fan-voted awards show. CMT honor the best country music videos
and performances of the year and feature country's biggest superstars.
The show was
packed with star presenters like LeAnn Rimes and Eric and Jessie Decker
and the audience was also able to enjoy a ton of high-energy and entertaining
performances by some of country's greatest artists.
Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Miranda
Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Kacey Musgraves, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town,
Jason Derulo, and John Legend all took to the stage.
Carrie Underwood continued to reign at the CMT Music
Awards with the Top Trophy going to
her thoughtful video "See You Again".
Over nearly a
decade, Underwood has racked up numerous CMT Music Awards with eye-catching
videos like "Jesus, Take the Wheel," "Before He Cheats,"
"Just a Dream," "Temporary Home," "Remind Me"
(with Brad Paisley), "Good Girl" and "Blown Away."
Nevertheless,
she seemed shocked to hear her name called at the end of the night. She
practically skipped to the stage after being cheered on by Miranda Lambert
following their dynamite performance of "Something Bad." After accepting the fan-voted award from
presenter Lionel Richie, Underwood exclaimed, "Oh my gosh, thank you so
much! Fans, thank you so much! You have been awesome to me. It's really hard to
believe that I have been doing this for nine years, but every single second of
those nine years, you guys have been so amazing."

During her
charming speech, the former American Idol champion also gave special recognition
to video director Eric Welch.
"I love
this song. And it had such a great message and great meaning to me. I had the
idea of what I wanted to do and he made it all make sense," Underwood said.
"So, thank you so much, Eric. Oh I'm so nervous! My heart's still beating
really fast! God bless you guys. God bless country music and its fans. You guys
are so amazing to all of us. Thank you so much. Thank you, CMT!"

2014 CMT Music Awards: Performances
- Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan and pop superstar Jason Derulo - “This is How We Roll” and “Talk Dirty.” Rockers Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill of
ZZ Top made a surprise appearance as part of the opening act.
- Hunter Hayes performed “Tattoo” off his new album. Keith Urban sang “Cop Car” on the floor
of the arena.
- Eric Church was joined by rocker Lzzy Hale for “That’s Damn Rock & Roll”.
- Dierks Bentley and his flight attendant team of dancers piloted the crowd to
their feet with his hit “Drunk on a Plane.”
- Brantley Gilbert sang “Bottom’s Up” and landed a perfect
backflip.
- Lee Ann Womack and Kacey Musgraves
honored Alan Jackson - “Livin’ on Love”
- Three outdoor performances
came from Lady Antebellum with
their newest single, “Bartender”, Jake Owen brought summer to Nashville
with his new song “Beachin’” as Blake
Shelton shut down the streets of downtown Nashville to performing his
hit “Boys ‘Round Here” (CMT’s Real Big Pepsi Block Party).

performed a specially arranged guitar-driven version of Legend’s No. 1 hit
“All of Me”
- Luke Bryan walked through the arena of fans singing his hit “Play It
Again.”
- Little Big Town wowed the audience with the visual spectacle of
the television debut of their new single “Day Drinkin’” as the band and
audience members clad in white were transformed into a rainbow of color
with paint, chalk and confetti.
- Miranda Lambert and Carrie
Underwood closed the Awards with their girl-powered hit and
high-octane performance of their duet “Something Bad.”
Alan Jackson honoured
The awards show was
the unofficial kick-off of CMA Music Festival, which ran June 4th through
Sunday June 8th attracting more than 100,000 country music fans to the streets
of downtown Nashville.
The festival —
like the CMT Music Awards — features many of country music's newest stars,
established hit makers and country legends.
The CMT Music Awards married all of those categories early in the program when Carrie
Underwood, Kacey Musgraves and Lee Ann Womack came together to honor Alan
Jackson with CMT's first Impact Award for his 25 years of making music videos.

Underwood
introduced Musgraves and Womack who dueted on Jackson's hit "Livin' On
Love."
"It's
always been about the music to me," Jackson said. "But, CMT has

Alan Jackson's
night didn't end with receiving the Impact Award at the CMT Music Awards
Wednesday night — he hopped across the street and played a surprise show at The Stage
on Broadway. Fans were tightly wedged onto the lower level of the bar as they
waited for Jackson to take the stage. They cheered and pulled out their cell
phones and started snapping pictures as he entered through the front door and
climbed on stage. Jackson kicked the show off with "Gone Country" and
transitioned right into "Good Time" as the audience that included his
wife, Denise, and fellow country singers including Kacey Musgraves, Lee Ann
Womack and Eric Paslay danced and sang along - The

Dressed Stars at the 2014 CMT Music Awards:
BEST: You know
who you can usually count on to get it right on a red carpet? Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood.
Once again the
blond duo didn't let us down. They are the reason we can't pick one winner from
the 2014 CMT Music Awards' red carpet—we love each of their looks equally! How
could anyone choose between Carrie's breathtaking floral Roberto Cavalli gown
and Miranda's glittery Celia Kritharioti mini? It's not possible. So we're
crowning them both.
Then, for
runner-ups we select the pink ladies: Kellie Pickler, Cassadee Pope and Jana
Kramer. OK, technically Kellie's dress is more of a magenta hue, but we still
give her and Jana props for opting for such attention-grabbing gowns.
As for Cassadee, her Theia crop top and skirt
was the perfect combo.

WORST: Now onto
the looks that caught our eye for the wrong reasons. Really it was just an
unfortunate case of unflattering prints as seen on Kimberly Schlapman, Elizabeth Cook, Kate Walsh, and Hillary Scott.
Then there was
the fringe-adorned getup with gold boots that Meghan Lindsey tried to pull off,
unsuccesfully we might add. And last but certainly not least, was Raelynn's princess-y frock, which,
we're sorry but Tinkerbell wore it better.

Who doesn't love
a night full of country music and southern style, sometimes the fashion
eclipses the music!
The CMT red
carpet came alive with a parade of Country’s biggest stars, the women decked
out in bright, bold dresses (with plenty of sparkle) and many of the men in
denim with plenty of cowboy boots to be found!
Fashion Trend: If
you buy one item this summer, make it a white
dress. Apparently the LWD is the go-to look right now. At least that
was the case at the on the red carpet which had seven stars wearing different
versions of the look.

Jana “Love” Krammer absolutely Wowed and Miranda Lambert (winning the red carpet
lately) again following on from the ACM’s blew us away in an absolutely perfect
sparkly mini dress and her Somethin’ Good pal Carrie Underwood looked gorgeous in a patterned, cut-out gown. LeAnn Rimes brought sexy in her
white-hot gown with quite the slit!
Elizabeth Cook maintains a wonderful model and runway
figure with her fine physique.

dress felt a bit sombre for the occasion and slightly overwhelmed her. Comment
(The Mirror): Actress Beth Behrs looks like she's channeling Miss Havisham
from Great Expectations in this long grey dress with lace overlay. Neck up, the
28-year-old looks fab and fresh, with her tousled blonde hair and subtle
make-up. Neck down, we'd like to lock her away in a cobweb-draped Victorian
mansion.
Brooklyn Decker - The actress wore an LWD by Jill
Stuart styled with black
pumps and black drop earrings. A a cute dress, but the styling a bit boring. The
star generously signed autographs for fans on the red carpet and posed

Caroline Boyer - Luke Bryan’s gorgeous wife were among
the attendees along with Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr. Caroline donned a
strapless gold studded LWD mini with open toe sandals with wavy locks and nude
lippie showing off her knock out figure.
Carrie Underwood - The “Blown Away” singer thankfully
didn’t opt for a sombre Fall gown, selecting a peachy fiery print Roberto
Cavalli keyhole number
with a sexy side slit. Moving away from frothy frocks world which she tends to
favour, this was one of the best looks on the night. Styled with John
Hardy jewels and a Swarovski

Cassadee Pope - The CMT nominee and Season 3 winner of
‘The Voice’ / "Wish I Could Break Your Heart" s-songwriter wore a

Danielle Bradbery - The Voice 2013 star and “The Heart Of
Dixie" singer, who later performed, sported a crop top and metallic mini skirt
with open-toed booties and a bright lippie. She sported a more slender figure,

Elizabeth Cook – Always cutting a beautiful drop dead

print dress was pretty fabulous and hugged her frame perfectly. You can be just

Gwen Sebastian – There to perform back up vox for Mr
Blake Shelton she wore a black strapless mini dress with a wrapped glittery
drape overlay. She assesorized with jewels and platform sandals with a short
swept do and pink lippie.
Haley and Michaels (Ryan Michaels and Shannon Haley) – The San
Francisco duo made their red carpet and later in the week were due at #CMAFest to perform at the Hard
Rock Entertainment Stage on Sunday. They co-ordinated with all black looks with
Ryan wearing a leather jacket and pants whilst Shannon wore a black bodice and
short dress which featured a see thru mesh lining and flowing floor length
train with open-toe strapped booties. Her lovely flowing curls and nude lippie
made for an attractive look with her partner.
Hillary Scott - Lady A “Need You Now” singer donned a
sprightly L’Wren Scott Spring 2014 striped and red floral-print dress and wore gold Brian

Jennifer Nettles - The 39-year old "That Girl"
now solo Sugarland songstress, shunning the expected gown and donned a Halston

Jessie James Decker - Show off that bod, momma! The new mummy made her first post-baby red
carpet appearance since welcoming her gorgeous baby girl Vivianne Rose with
hubby Eric Decker nearly two months ago, and she looks absolutely stunning. She
and her NFL stud introduced country crooner Jake Owen for his performance. Jessie
admitted to her Twitter followers that she was nervous about making her first
appearance since the baby, writing, "Nervous!!! First time on carpet
after having my
angel!!! I keep spraying hair in car over and over. Probably making Eric and
driver sick"
She clearly had
nothing to worry about! The 26-year-old flaunted her curves in a simple yet
sexy black, long-sleeve dress that had light draping on one side and enough of
a plunge on the neckline to show off some cleavage. The long sleeved dress
featured a plunging neckline and a knee-length skirt, which the “Comin’ Home” singer
dressed up with towering nude platform pumps. She glammed up the look with

Jessie’s long
hair cascaded down in luxurious waves, as she highlighted her brown eyes with
plenty of mascara and eyeliner.
Yes, Georgia
stunner Jessie is the smokingest thing to happen to country music since Willie
Nelson rolled his first joint. During the show, both Jessie and Eric changed
into more casual outfits so that they could properly introduce their favorite
country crooner, Jake Owen. While Jessie opted for a floral top and Daisy Duke
cut-off shorts, Eric slipped on a tank top and green shorts. Early this year
she landed the Hot Shot Debut in justr 3 days of its release on Billboard

Kacey Musgraves - A formal appearance: The "Keep It
to Yourself" singer-songwriter arrived in a strapless Miu
Miu gown with a Swarovski

bustline with glittering silver detail and a chic updo (Image ) Take a cue from Kacey, and rock a messy sock bun with winged
liner and a pale pink lip. She performed in Amen fall 2014 black crystal embellished
cocktail dress with lace trimming - Fashion Pic Kacey’s gorgeous leather mini with a lace hem; her high, demure
neckline left room for a ton of embroidered sparkle, and she looked absolutely
gorgeous with her long hair loose around her shoulders and slightly teased at

Karen Fairchild - Little Big Town spokes lady wore a
draped sheer polka dot spotted dress with a gold statement necklace and carried
a gold clutch. This seems out of sorts for a summertime CMT June look.
Kate Walsh - The
ABC dramas Grey's Anatomy actress took to the red carpet in a Naeem
Khan black strapless
high-low gown with elaborate white embroidered detailing on the bodice. She
styled the look with a bracelet, Le Vian emerald rings, Carla Amorim earrings (image), plus black satin Giuseppe Zanotti pumps, and Jimmy Choo clutch. – Fashion Pic

Kellie Pickler - The "Little Bit Gypsy"

Kristen Bell - The actress and CMT host of the show
started off her night wearing a gorgeous Zuhair Murad Fall 2014 sleeveless deep-blue and black
beaded V-neck gown. The second and third looks were both from the Monique

collection. The first being a gunmetal strapless embroidered chiffon gown and
the second a black long sleeve leather embroidered cocktail dress. She then
went onto change into two more black gowns. Five dark dresses? For a host of a

train. Later on, the 33-year-old actress swapped her elegant dress for a fake
moustache and cowboy hat, leaving the audience in hysterics, as she presented.
Krystal Keith - Twenty eight year old "Daddy
Dance with Me" Show Dog-Universal Music singer looked pretty in a plunging
colorful dress with blue high heels as she steps out. Krystal Ladawn Covel

Lacy Buchanan -
One of the trends of the CMT 2014 carpet were the lovely ladies of country
music (or presenters) taking to the print dresses. Lacy (Jake Owen's wife) looked
great in a cool geometric print. Jake sported the casual popular jacket and
jeans combo with pumps while his lady love opted for the colorful tribal.
