(Oct 1, 2015) The UK's hottest country act The Shires (Crissie Rhodes and Ben Earle) confirmed they will be performing on BBC 1's The Graham Norton Show
When:
Broadcast this Friday night (2 October 2015 on BBC 1 at 10.35pm)

They will appear alongside a start studded guest line of including:
Academy and Golden Globe Award winning actor Robert DeNiro
Oscar winner Anne Hathaway
Sir Kenneth Branagh (Night of the Theatre)
and English actor Tom Hiddleston.

Combining the classic pop-rock drive of Fleetwood Mac with the uplifting, infectious anthems of The Lumineers, British duo Crissie Rhodes and Ben Earle have become the face of the UK’s rising country scene.

Their success has continued since as the band started the year as the biggest selling UK-signed debut artist of 2015, a great achievement for the band who have built up a loyal group of supporters throughout the country with their warm personalities and stunning songs. The band can also list a show at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, the home of country Music, amongst their bucket list achievements for the year. With forthcoming performance on BBC1’s Graham Norton show topping off a great year of TV for the band who have already appeared on Sunday Brunch, BBC Breakfast News, Andrew Marr and The One Show.

The Shires celebrate their breakthrough year with the release a brand new single

They announced they are releasing their wonderful new single ‘I Just Wanna Love You’ (Decca Nashville) which drops October 30th.

New single is the band’s most romantic song yet, a pure, heartfelt ballad which is as catchy as it is poignant.

The sweet harmonies and sincere lyrics carry all the hallmarks of an enduring country classic so it’s no surprise that this song has been hand-picked by many fans as the soundtrack for many newlyweds’ first dances (Something which Ben remarked on opening for Carrie Underwood at the Apple Music Festival).

The video was first published on July 1, 2014 (160K views).

The single is taken from their debut album BRAVE which released on March 2nd 2015 and entered at No.10 (9,516 sales; chart week March 14, 2015) and has spent 28 weeks on Top 100 Official UK Album Chart selling over 69,000 copies in 30 weeks.

October Headline Tour
They wrapped up a summer of festival appearances, including a sensational set at Glastonbury and appeared as part of this year’s Apple Music Festival at London’s Roundhouse, where they supported country queen Carrie Underwood.

The Shires have headed out on their UK Tour (playing venues including London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 24 Oct 2015).

They hit the road, embarking on a 3 week tour of the UK, opening in Bedford and culminating in a much anticipated and triumphant return to London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on 24 October 2015. This is less than a year after they were a support act at the same venue for CMA Group of the Year and fellow country act Little Big Town - yet another example of The Shires remarkable success and rapid rise to become out of the biggest break through acts of 2015! The Shires are also set to perform at One Big Night for BBC Children in Need on 8 October 2015, which will be staged at the SSE Arena, Wembley, with The Shires performing alongside: 5 Seconds of Summer, James Morrison, Laura Mvula and Dame Evelyn Glennie.
