Aldean’s 11th Annual Event Benefitting Susan G. Komen
Returned To Nashville As Part of “Opry Goes Pink”

NASHVILLE, TN - Oct. 25, 2016
RIAA’s top digital country male artist of all time Jason Aldean continues to donate a portion of each ticket sale throughout the year at his annual “Concert for the Cure” benefitting the Susan G. Komen Foundation, with this year's contribution taking the grand total to over 3.3 million dollars for the fight against breast cancer. The recent "More Than Pink Hero" recipient celebrated the mile-marker in Nashville tonight (10/25) with partner The Grand Ole Opry in conjunction with their eighth annual “Opry Goes Pink."

It was a pretty full-circle moment for me to be able to bring this show back to Nashville where it got started as we go over the three million dollar mark,” said Aldean. “I could see a lot of family and friends out in the audience this year, which is a big reminder that we still have to keep fighting this disease."

“Through the generosity of Jason Aldean and his devoted fans, we have the opportunity to increase our support for critical breast cancer research along with education, screening, and treatment programs for millions of women, men and families in Nashville and all over the world,” says Dr. Judy Salerno, President & CEO of Susan G. Komen. “His commitment to this cause has been unwavering and through his support, we’re one step closer to our vision of a world without breast cancer.”

In addition to performing, the multi-platinum superstar flipped the switch on the Opry’s signature barn backdrop, turning it pink for the Grand Ole Opry’s two shows. This year’s ACM Entertainer of the Year has been an avid supporter towards the fight against breast cancer since 2004, after losing a dear friend to the disease. The Susan G. Komen Foundation recently named Aldean one of their “More Than Pink” Heroes for his impact in the fight against breast cancer.
