What is the difference between Prime Music and Amazon Music Unlimited?

Prime Music is included with a Prime membership at no additional cost. It features two million songs and more than a thousand playlists and stations programmed by Amazon's music experts. Prime Music is available on the go on your favourite devices, and you can download music to listen to offline wherever you are, always ad-free.

With Amazon Music Unlimited, you get all of the great features and functionality of Prime Music…and a lot more.
Amazon Music Unlimited offers 40 million songs and thousands of expert-programmed playlists and stations, including the hottest new releases from today's most popular artists. Amazon Music Unlimited's vast catalogue allows you to dig deep into the vaults of your favourite artists, enjoy the latest and greatest hits, and explore new genres and styles.

Amazon Music Unlimited or Spotify: Which offers better sound?
Amazon hasn't revealed the streaming bitrate quality of its library, but it’s probably at 320kbps (Highest MP3 quality) and this would put it on par with Spotify who reserve the 320kbps streaming quality for its Spotify Premium tier (advert free). It's called high quality on computer and extreme quality on mobile. If you use the free tier and listen on a mobile, you can choose between 96kbps normal quality or 160kbps high quality. The same 160kbps streams are called standard quality on computer with adverts.

AMAZON MUSIC UNLIMITED has announced a FAMILY subscription plan (Amazon.com), allowing up to six family members access to its streaming service for only $14.99 a month for both PRIME (Amazon.com) and non-PRIME customers, or $149 a year for PRIME members.
All family members can stream as much music as they want, anytime, anywhere, and at the same time. In addition, each account member gets personalized recommendations from tens of millions of songs, and thousands of playlists and stations available on the service.
There are now four separate AMAZON MUSIC UNLIMITED subscription options to choose from along with a free 30-day-trial:
-- $7.99/month, $79/year for PRIME members (a $99 subscription fee)
-- $9.99/month for non-PRIME customers
-- $3.99/month on a single ECHO, ECHO DOT, or AMAZON TAP. (Amazon.com)

AMAZON MUSIC UNLIMITED (Amazon.com | Amazon UK) launched on October 12th 2016
Plus, customers are going to love AMAZON MUSIC’s all-new app for iOS, ANDROID, and desktop,” said AMAZON CEO Jeff Bezos. “And if you want a sense of the future of voice-controlled music, go ahead and ask ALEXA for a free MUSIC UNLIMITED trial, and play around on your ECHO. The service expanded to the U.K., Germany, and Austria this year, as well.

Confused? What exactly is an Amazon Echo?

It’s a smart speaker (known in-development as Doppler or Project D and shortened and referred to as Echo) developed by Amazon.com (Webpage) http://amzn.to/2faT3v3.

The device consists of a 9.25-inch (23.5 cm) tall cylinder speaker with a seven-piece microphone array.

The device responds to the name "Alexa"! This "wake word" can be changed by the user to either "Amazon" or "Echo".

It's a device that plays all your music from Amazon Music, Spotify, TuneIn and more using just your voice.

It fills the room with immersive, 360ยบ omni-directional audio and allows hands-free convenience with voice control
It hears you from across the room with far-field voice recognition, even in noisy environments or while playing music
Answers questions, reads audiobooks, reports news, traffic and weather, provides sports scores and schedules, and more using the Alexa Voice Service
