“What Child Is This?”

 (Nashville, Tenn. – December 2, 2016)
Country recording artist, Camille Rae, has released an original rendition of the Christmas hymn, “What Child Is This?” capturing her bright and dynamic vocals for the holiday classic.
What Child Is This?” initially written by William Chatterton Dix in 1865, was recorded and produced by Mikei Gray and is now available through digital retailers Amazon UK, Amazon.com, iTunes and Apple Music.
“‘What Child Is This’ has been my favorite Christmas song since I was a little girl,” said Rae. “It is so beautiful and has always tugged at my heart strings. I’m very excited to share my take on this timeless hymn with everyone.”

"What Child Is This?" was written by William Chatterton Dix, in 1865. The lyrics to this carol were subsequently set to the traditional English folk song tune of "Greensleeves".

Rae’s current single, “But I Want You,” co-written by Jaida Dreyer, Fred Wilhelm, and Jay Knowles, is currently climbing the Music Row chart with strong country radio airplay across the United States and Canada. “But I Want You,” is available on iTunes and Apple Music, and the official music video can be viewed here.

Originally from Mount Vernon, Ky., Rae has been sharing her talent with all whom would listen since the age of three. At 12, Rae began to craft her own songs and was a member of the Kentucky All-State Choir. She went on to complete her musical education at University of the Cumberlands and taught choir before focusing on her own artistry. Since 2012, Rae has opened for notable acts like The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, David Cook, Maddie and Tae, and more.
Rae recently completed studio work for a full-length studio album in which the street date is to be determined.
