“If your after big songs with big choruses then you could do little better" - R2 Magazine

The Rising are offering fans a chance to get involved in the making of their second album entitled “Moving On” exclusively through PledgeMusic.
Allowing fans an exclusive look behind the making of the album as well as a chance to pre-order the new album on numerous formats (Vinyl, CD, Download), as well as exclusive merchandise and one-off experiences.

As of April 13, 2017, 38% of an undisclosed goal has been reached by 9 Pledgers with 50 days left.
Exclusive Pledges include a high quality digital download (£8), signed copy of the new album on CD (£19) up to a £500 Acoustic House Concert!

People who pledge will receive a copy of the new album in advance of the public release date. Exclusive merchandise and of one items that fans can purchase through PledgeMusic include handwritten, lyric sheets, studio notes, name in album credits as well as a chance to join the band in the studio or even have the band record your song.

Through PledgeMusic fans will be able to get involved in the completion of the album and help the band finish the album and promote it effectively. Being an independent band in the developing scene of Country Pop/Rock in the UK has several logistical and inherent difficulties. Without a major label the band are reliant on their own funding to record, manufacture and promote their music. This is by nature a hugely expensive endeavor with lots of limiting factors. So, by asking fans to get involved in the pledge campaign allows the band to afford to get new music out. This includes the recording, manufacture of physical product, promoting the music as well as touring.

The band hopes that through PledgeMusic fans will feel a sense of community and feel like they are one with the band. Without their help the band would not be able to continue. This new album is an exciting step forward for the band and one that they feel can take them to the next level and help to achieve their goals. The pledge campaign and fans support of the campaign is vital to the completion of the album and the goals the band hopes to achieve.

The Rising began recording the album in March 2016 and issued the single “Last First Love” as an introduction to the new band and new sound. Written by the band’s principle songwriters Chris Logan/Chantelle McAteer and recorded in between the bands native Ireland and Nashville, TN (USA).

Published on Aug 17, 2016 ‘Last First Love' (26,2K YouTube Views) the first single from The Rising's upcoming second album MOVING ON.

Mixed by Grammy Nominated Mills Logan (Taylor Swfit, Eric Pasley, Luke Bryan, Toby Keith, Kristian Bush) and Mixed by Pete Maher (U2, The Rolling Stones, Katy Perry, Damien Rice). The song recounts how everyone wants the feeling of their first love to last forever and the joy when it does. Of course, this can be a relationship or indeed apply to whatever your first love may be, for some that could be the love of music.

The single achieved success when it was given a world premiere by US based Country Music Bible
The Boot. After the premiere, the video went on to achieve over 25,000 views on the bands VEVO page. The single has also enjoyed heavy radio play globally, including USA, UK, Europe, Ireland and beyond.

This single marks the start of a whole new chapter for the band. Firstly, the band continues to grow musically from its debut album, building upon the ground laid down from the album with a glossier production and growth in the songwriting. Most notably however, are the changes in the bands lineup with the addition of Chantelle McAteer on lead vocals. This change was a natural progression to the band with the wheels of this change being set in motion over a year earlier. Guitarist Chris Logan encountered Chantelle singing at a singer-songwriter night showcasing her own material. Soon after the two songwriters started working together with Chris producing Chantelle’s debut EP. However, the two continued to write songs non-stop simply for the joy of writing songs. It was while on a UK/Ireland tour with Jess & The Bandits (October 2015) that things were beginning to change. Cracks were starting to show and midway through this tour Chris sent Chantelle a text message asking her if she wanted to join the band. As soon as the band came off tour the two songwriters set about recording the next album for The Rising. The new lineup was introduced during two shows at 2016’s Country 2 Country Festival at London’s O2 where the band played two showcase shows (Big Entrance Stage & Brooklyn Bowl).

However, in winter 2016 the band was dealt a huge setback when Guitarist and Songwriter Chris Logan was involved in a road traffic collusion where he was hit by an on-coming Bus. This put an immediate stop to recording sessions and resulted in a few months off while Chris recovered from the injuries sustained in the accident. However, in Feb 2017 recording sessions began again to finish the album.

In March 2017, the band hit the road on a Co-Headline UK Tour with Nashville recording artist Dawson Reigns. This tour allowed the band to debut material from the upcoming album as well as songs from the band’s debut album “Coming Home”.

The band’s debut Rock/ Contemporary Country album COMING HOME (released Aug 24, 2014 | Amazon UK | iTunes) is available worldwide on Renegade Maverick Records/Absolute.

Recorded between Northern Ireland and Nashville, where they worked with Grammy winning engineers/producers including Hank Williams.

During this time several guest artists came into the fold and added their talents to the album. For example; Molly Thomas (Molly Thomas & The Rare Birds, Matthew Ryan Band), Ricky Warwick (Black Star Riders, Thin Lizzy, Solo artist).

Like most debut albums the album was a mixture of the bands influences and also crossed the boundaries between Country and Rock. This direction caught the attention of the media across all genres from pop, rock press and also country music quarters with reviews and features coming in from across the globe.

The band’s music has gained extensive airplay throughout Ireland, UK, Europe (Germany, Netherlands) and the USA/Canada. Including support from the likes of BBC Radio, Radio 2 with the likes of Graham Norton, Gaby Roslin and Alex Lester championing the band from their first single.

Their music video hit No.1 in the fan rated CM&T International Artists Music Video Chart (USA & Sky TV). iTunes also featured the band on their front page banner for several months as well as featuring both the single and album in “New & Featured” section.

The band have toured constantly since its formation including the chance to perform at the Country 2 Country festival in London’s O2 two years in a row, firstly, in 2015 and again in 2016. Constant touring around the UK and Ireland has helped the band build their fan-base with every show. Shows have included their own shows, festivals and also touring alongside the likes of Jess & The Bandits, The Shires, Ward Thomas and many other top acts.

This constant touring and hard working ethic brought the band to the attention of the British Country Music Awards in 2015 with a nomination for the Horizon Award.
