Eclectic six-piece DELTA RAE released their A LONG AND HAPPY LIFE EP, on March 24, 2017 on The Valory Music Co.

The Dann Huff-produced collection features four songs highlighting tight-knit harmonies of the Hölljes’ siblings Brittany (lead vocals), Eric (vocals, piano) and Ian (vocals, guitar) alongside Liz Hopkins (lead vocals, tambourine, auxiliary percussion) with Mike McKee (drums) and Grant Emerson (bass).
“As a band we strive to make people feel like they’re connected to each other through a place, an emotion or vivid moment in time,” said Brittany. “When you listen to these songs, envision the best summer of your life: It’s got young love and heartbreak, family and wildness, plenty of adventure. Ian added, “From writing to recording, we brought a different level of focus and craftsmanship to this EP. We’re incredibly proud of it and hope our fans will be too.”

A LONG AND HAPPY LIFE EP Track List:
1.   “A Long And Happy Life” | Written by Eric Hölljes, Ian Hölljes
2.   “I Moved South” | Written by Eric Hölljes, Ian Hölljes
3.   “No Peace In Quiet” | Written by Eric Hölljes, Tiffany Goss, Adam Wood
4.   “Ain’t Love” | Written by Eric Hölljes, Ian Hölljes

The Durham, NC-based band’s music melds together Country and Americana storytelling over Gospel and Rock vocal stylings with Bluegrass musicianship. Also inspired by literature, Eric and Ian crafted lyrics for their first single, “A Long And Happy Life,” weaving four book titles from authors they admire. The troupe fittingly chose their moniker from a mythical story the Hölljes’ mother crafted about a Southern girl named Delta Rae who summons the Greek gods to earth.

Previously earning a slot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, Delta Rae has also garnered national attention from NPR, The Washington Post and New York Times as well as multiple late night television performances and billing on coveted festivals from Bonnaroo to Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits.
It's A Boy For Delta Rae's Ian Holljes And Wife: In early October Ian Holljes, of VALORY MUSIC CO.'s Delta Rae, and wife Rebecca welcomed their first child. Leo Richman Holljes was born Friday, October 6th at 4:01a (ET) in RALEIGH, NC. Baby LEO weighed in at 7lbs 10 oz.

On Dec 15, 2017 they released a 4 track EP THE BLACKBIRD SESSIONS (Big Machine Label Group; Amazon UK - UK iTunes)
They shared: “We rented out the legendary Blackbird Studios in Nashville with the plan to cut our first ever recording of a Christmas carol, "Silent Night." Blackbird Studios is a magical place — almost every artist you know and love has recorded there — and once "Silent Night" >> YouTube was finished we still had the studio for the rest of the evening. Rather than pack up and say good night, we discussed how we could offer our fans a new experience of our single, "No Peace in Quiet." Burning the midnight oil, we kept recording. The studio had a gorgeous upright piano, so we decided to record a version of "No Peace In Quiet" with a piano lead. We also asked our friend Gideon Klein to add his talent on violin, turning it into a Celtic country version that might be even more heartbreaking than the album version. Then, with only a few hours left, we thought about what covers we could do, songs from artists we grew up loving... "Blackbird" and "Seven Bridges Road" were done after only a few takes.
