(April 13, 2018)
Lisa McHugh has released her highly anticipated single ‘Who I Am’ taken from her current number one album of the same name.

This single shows the real side to the country sensation in the powerful ballad with a biopic that puts pictures to the lyrics of the song showing footage of her Scottish homeland where Lisa returned to last week to record the video.

 Lisa shared:

The single ‘Who I Am’ gives an insight to Lisa not only as a performer but also as a regular young woman. Lisa has promised to take us down memory lane with this prominent single which is also soundbite of her early family life.

Lisa let fans share this personal experience when the video was released this week.

About the Song “Who I Am”
The original cut appeared on the sophomore 12-track album WHO I AM by Contemporary Country-Pop artiste Jessica Andrews.

The album, produced by Byron Gallimore, was released by DreamWorks Nashville on January 27, 2001.
The track was featured in the TV show Lizzie McGuire and used as the theme song of the PAX series Sue Thomas F.B.Eye.

Jessica, who was 17 years old when Who I Am was recorded, described the album as a more mature effort than her 1999 set Heart Shaped World, because it focused more on the emotions that come with growing up.

Released on November 20, 2000 and serving as the album's lead-off single, "Who I Am" became, to date, Andrews' only Number One (and only Top Ten) hit on the country music charts. Additionally, it peaked at No.28 on both the Billboard Hot 100.

It's about believing in yourself and being supported by those around you. No matter how many mistakes you make, your friends and family will be there for you."

In the US as of June 2013, the song has sold 361,000 copies
Danielle Bradbery featured a cover of "Who I Am" on the deluxe version of her debut album Danielle Bradbery.
