Megan O’Neill to release new album ‘Ghost Of You’ on JUNE 8th

LONDON, UK - (Friday 6th April 2018) - London-based, Irish singer-songwriter Megan O’Neill, who has captured the attention of media and listeners alike with her recent singles ‘Ghost of You’ & ‘Why I Need You’, has confirmed the June 8th release of her debut full-length solo album ‘Ghost of You’.

Available to pre-order now, the album includes new single ‘Without’, which was co-written by O’Neill in Nashville last year with Jeff Cohen (Sugarland, The Band Perry, Big & Rich) and Victoria Banks (Lauren Alaina, Sara Evans, The Shires).

On releasing the album, O’Neill said: "I am very excited to share this album with the public - my first full length record and a year's worth of work. I'm really proud of it as a whole; the songs, the production, the arrangements, the artwork, everything. As Kate Bush said "Albums are like diaries" - so this album for me is a few years worth of journaling!”

The release of ‘Ghost Of You’ will be celebrated with an exclusive album launch event at 229 in London on April 26th, presented by TalentBanq and sponsored by Campfire Gin; all tickets (available here) include a signed, pre-release copy of the album.

ABOUT MEGAN O’NEILL:
Irish-born singer/songwriter Megan O’Neill is one of the most exciting Americana artists on the UK - Irish scene. A long-time musician and song-writer, Megan has previously lived in Nashville but now resides full time in London.

She released her debut EP ‘Coming Home’ in May 2015, reaching #1 in Irish country charts & was awarded ‘UK EP of the Year’ (W21Music). In February 2017, Megan released a second record with her band ‘The Common Threads’ titled ‘Stories to Tell’ which was recorded at Mark Knopfler’s British Grove Studios with the legendary Guy Fletcher (Dire Straits, Roxy Music, Mark Knopfler) producing.



Megan has had her song ‘Don’t You’ featured on hit ABC TV Show Nashville, three slots at the O2 Arena London for C2C festival, a performance at JJ Abrams’ Oscar Wilde party in LA alongside Gavin James, multiple appearances at the prestigious Bluebird Café in Nashville, Harvest Festival and Nashville Meets London Festival. She has also been twice chosen as one of Time Out London’s Rising Stars (2016 and 2017).

In 2017 Megan was selected to partake in the Americana Music Association song-writing workshop and performed at the annual conference during AmericanaFest UK 2017. She also spent 2017 touring Ireland, America and the UK and sharing stages with such artists as Miranda Lambert, Kip Moore, Nathan Carter, Donna Taggart and Victoria Shaw.

In September 2017 Megan set out to write and record her debut solo album with producer/songwriter Zak Lloyd in Nashville. The first single (‘Why I Need You’) was released in October 2017 and the video hit over 100,000 views in less than one month. The second single ('Ghost of You') was released January 2018 and has been described as 'stunning', and a 'reminiscent, reflective, country-pop fusion'.

Live radio appearances and performances include BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio London with Gaby Roslin, 2fm, Today FM with Ian Dempsey, BBC Radio Wales, Marie Crichton’s Country Show on BBC, Nevis Radio, Amazing Radio, Chris Country and many, many more.
