Bluebird Café at C2C returns for the fourth consecutive year at London’s Country To Country Festival


THE BLUEBIRD CAFE IS BACK FOR C2C 2019, PLUS NEW STAGES, C2C SESSIONS AND SPECIAL CINEMA SCREENINGS ALL CONFIRMED






























From Friday 8th to Sunday 10th March 2019, The O2, London will see “country legend” Keith Urban headline C2C for the very first time, with Lady Antebellum and Chris Stapleton returning for the seventh annual festival, hosted by the legendary Bob Harris OBE.

THE BLUEBIRD CAFE
For the fourth consecutive year, The Bluebird Cafe returns with Jeff Cohen, Catherine McGrath, Sarah Darling, Michael Ray, Kelly Archer, Adam Hambrick, Robert Vincent and Craig Campbell all performing. Taking place at a new intimate venue; the O2 Blueroom at The O2, on 9th and 10th March, the seated show takes the form of a ‘songwriter’s round’; with each artist taking it in turns to talk about their relationship with The Bluebird Cafe, their songwriting and the stories behind their music.

CINEWORLD
This year, at Cineworld at The O2, C2C will host an exclusive preview of Wild Rose, a new film which tells the complicated story of Rose-Lynn, a woman on a quest to become a country music star, while also grappling with the responsibilities of being recently released from prison and young mother of two. The film which doesn’t air in cinemas until April will include a special Q&A with Tom Harper (Director) and Nicole Taylor (Writer) and be hosted by a special guest.

Also in the cinema; the CMA and Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp. (NCVC) will have screenings on Saturday and Sunday including “Charley Pride: I’m Just Me” a new documentary which traces the improbable journey of Charley Pride and “It All Begins With A Song” a film about one of the most important and unknown, forces in music: The Nashville Songwriter.
C2C SESSIONS AT THE LOFT 
C2C Sessions at The Loft (formerly NY-LON) will return once again with a range of artists including; Travis Denning, Ingrid Andress, Lauren Jenkins, Runaway June, Twinnie, Fairground Saints and James Barker Band. The full schedule will be announced on the C2C app soon.

C2C FESTIVAL STAGES
Country to Country will officially kick off at Midday on Friday and 10.00am on Saturday and Sunday when the Town Square opens and the first Festival stage artists start. The Town Square will once again be hosted outside the main entrance with a new expanded space to make room for the ever-growing selection of festival activities including; market stalls and stands, authentic food from the American South, cocktails and whiskey from Southern Comfort and Buffalo Trace, and craft beers from Signal Brewery, a record store, artist signings, meet and greets and more.
C2C ticket holders are invited to enjoy any of the Festival Stages across the weekend, subject to capacity. This includes the new ICON stage (at ICON Outlet, new retail space within The O2), BBC Radio 2 Stage (indigo at The O2); Country Music Week Hub and The Saloon (All Bar One), Town Square, Big Entrance Stage, and C2C Sessions (The Loft, formerly NY-LON). In addition to the Official Aftershows, C2C host a late-night stage called The Saloon, which will feature performances from James Barker Band, Lainey Wilson and Caroline Jones.
NON-TICKET HOLDERS are also able to access these stages by purchasing a daily Festival wristband for £10 from The O2 box office.
