Nashville, TN – April 15, 2019 - The seventh-annual Rock The Ocean’s Tortuga Music Festival, in partnership with Live Nation, hosted fans from all around the world this weekend for three days of coastal breeze and musical entertainment. Featuring headliners Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett and Kenny Chesney, this year’s lineup was praised by Miami New Times for being “more diverse than those of past years by several measures,” adding that the festival featured “dozens of more women on this year's lineup than in previous years, with participating artists coming from beyond the world of country music.”

“The lineup on Friday was a lesson in the diversity the Tortuga Music Festival has come to represent” (Sun Sentinel) with Jason Aldean kicking things off opening night after premiering his new music video for “Rearview Town” live on the main stage earlier in the day, and highlights on the Sunset Stage including high-energy sets from Joan Jett And The Blackhearts and Elle King.

The free-spirited vibe of the event continued on Saturday with collaborative performances featuring RaeLynn for Maren Morris’ “All My Favorite People” and later on in the day with Thomas Rhett inviting Maren Morris back to the stage for their duet of “Craving You.” Additionally, Flo Rida thrilled fans with his hit-heavy set on the Sunset Stage. The weekend also served the next generation of country music featured on the festival’s first year of the Next From Nashville stage, giving attendees a chance to discover the genre’s hottest acts including Clare Dunn, Tenille Townes, Travis Denning, Caylee Hammack and Rachel Wammack

With Rolling Stone heralding that “the draw is the traditionally diverse lineup, one that strays far from any country boundaries,” Sunday closed out with an unforgettable set by Kenny Chesney, who brought up David Lee Murphy who had taken the main stage earlier in the day, as well as performances by Sheryl Crow, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue and more.

“This weekend has been beyond what we could have ever imagined,” said Brian O’Connell, President of Country Touring at Live Nation. “The fans and artists really embraced everything Tortuga has to offer, from the amazing setting to a really unique lineup. Tortuga fans have a special vibe and it was also awesome to see so many acts experiencing the festival for themselves too, watching other acts and soaking up the beach, all for a good cause”

“We’re so happy to have residents and visitors to Greater Fort Lauderdale for this one-of-a-kind music festival, where they enjoy music from top-charting artists on our beautiful beach,” said Stacy Ritter, president and CEO of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau.
