New To You: Bristol singer-songwriter Zoe Newton sends "No Fun" to radio

Zoe Newton is a country singer-songwriter based in Bristol, UK.

Zoe has used songwriting as a way to express her emotions and thoughts from a young age using only lyrics and a guitar. Her intimate performance leads you through a stream of country infused acoustic songs about love, life and heartbreak.

"No Fun" was written during Zoe’s first year of university, and is based on the roller coaster of emotions that young people go through when approaching their 20's. This track can be found on Zoe’s IF I COULD EP.

It summarises the personal journey that she has been through. Zoe took a new view point for this song compared to the other songs on the If I Could (Evett Records | iTunes) EP: "there is so much pressure surrounding young people in terms of careers and futures, and No Fun is a song that I wrote when struggling with the pressures alongside the massive life change that happens when you head off it’s about the loneliness and fragility of that time, which I think many young people can relate to. No Fun has received recognition as a semi-finalist in the singer song writer category of the UK Songwriting Contest 2018".

Previously she released a 4-track Country Indie & Alternative EP titled LOSING SLEEP (Amazon | iTunes) on July 16, 2016.

Zoe's most notable performances include Bath International Music Festival, BBC6 Fringe Festival, Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, supporting Aston Merrygold at the Cheese and Grain, and appearances on BBC Radio Bristol and Wiltshire.
