NEWS
(3 June 2019) New at Radio:  STONEY LaRUE - “Hill Country Boogaloo”
Stoney LaRue has traveled the world performing music for over 20 years, but has never been this excited about a new album of songs as he is with ONWARD slated for release in 2019. LaRue wrote several new songs and chose some great artists songs to interpret for the 12 songs that make up ONWARD. Being from Texas originally, LaRue always wanted to write a fun homage to his home state.
On the album, he and fellow Texan Gary Nicholson wrote “Hill Country Boogaloo” to honor their heritage and that great area of the country they love. Stoney is enjoying touring more than ever and can’t wait to play his new music for everybody, as well as long time fan favorites like “Feet Don’t Touch The Ground”, “Oklahoma Breakdown” and “One Chord Song."

(3 June 2019) New at Radio: Hillary Reese - "Wildfires"

Hillary Reese is a 12-year-old triple threat singer/songwriter/musician from the Mississippi. Hillary has carved out a sound and style of her own. Reese tried out for Choir and unfortunately did not make it.

Reese had a very different tone to her voice that did not blend with the other kids. Although this devastated her, her mother explained to her that her voice was just very different. Reese started putting a few videos of her singing covers on face book and they started hitting millions of views. This is when Dolly Parton's producer, Kent Wells started producing music for Reese. She is now 12 years old coming out with her first single "Wildfires". It was released to digital platforms on June 3, 2019 on Amazon & iTunes

“NOAH brings a wealth of great songs, huge streaming numbers, incredible social engagement and a great work ethic to BIG MACHINE,” shared BMLG Pres./CEO Scott Borchetta. “So proud to have him on board. It begins now!” Added SCHNACKY, "Being a part of a team that believes in my music and vision like Scott and the Big Machine Records family does is an artist’s dream. This is the beginning of an incredible story and I’m extremely excited to see it unfold.”

(5 June 2019) BMLG Records Celebrates 10th Anniversary

(6 June 2019) Garth Brooks Sells A Million (142,000 units x 7 the seven albums in the Boxset)
Back on May 3 it was reported in LOS ANGELES that Garth Brooks just passed the 1 million vinyl mark (* 1 million LPs total (7 LPs to a box set)) with his vinyl release, Legacy- The Vinyl Collection. This was the fourth and final pre-sale window for the limited + numbered editions of Legacy. Fans could purchase it at garthbrooks.com/vinyl.
The first window opened February 28th 60,000 full sets of numbered Legacy Collection boxes SOLD OUT in 18 hours!

There is a lot of controversy surrounding Brooks‘ sales. Owner of a MBA and also owner of the masters of his recordings, the singer knows how to perfectly handle his catalog. For 20 years now he has been using multiple tricks to make his numbers look bigger. He did so by playing with RIAA rules in order to get additional platinum awards out of the same sales. That all started in 1998 with the release of both the double set Double Live plus the 6CD box The Limited Series. These gimmicks sent him to the #2 spot of all-time on RIAA list of most certified artists in the US. Add the insane laziness of some journalists and you get “worldwide best selling solo artist ever” tags claimed here and there. -

(6 June 2019) Midland to release new album Let It Roll on August 23rd.
Produced by Dann Huff, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, the new album returns to the neo-traditional country sounds that made Midland’s Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy and Jess Carson gain a buzz at country radio.
“We want to keep things fresh and real,” says Duddy. “The beauty of being in Dripping Springs and spending so much time on the road, we don’t get caught up in what’s trending. We’re able to follow our hearts (and our livers) to where we think country is the best.”
“Everything we’ve learned out on the road touring On The Rocks is all right here on this album,” says Wystrach. “These songs are deeply personal and from the heart.”
“A lot of what was is still so cool, and with the help of Dann, Shane and Josh, as well as the support of Scott and Big Machine, we’re able to be true to the music and keep our kind of country alive,” said Carson.

(9 June 2019) Miranda Lambert debuted a new song during her Saturday night set at Nissan Stadium, ripping through the pummeling “Locomotive” for the CMA Fest crowd. It is Lambert’s first new music since releasing the double album The Weight of These Wings in late 2017.
Lambert introduced the song, which she told the Tennessean was “total country-punk rock,” by saying it was the first time she and her band had played it for anyone.
During her CMA Fest set, Lambert also brought out Pistol Annies bandmates Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley to sing a pair of songs, including “Sugar Daddy” from their 2018 album Interstate Gospel.

With striking arrangements that are the perfect vessels for her songcraft, not to mention a voice that is full of rustic mystique, Caroline Spence is a writer and storyteller with timeless appeal. There’s no doubt that she’s poured her heart into this album. As you listen, you feel like you’re right beside her as she sings about the ups and downs of her life and relationships. This album bears witness to the determination of putting one foot in front of the other and to the power of music to get you there. Emmylou Harris adds her distinctive harmonies to the closing title track, as a way of endorsing Caroline Spence as a relatively new kid on the block destined for great things.
