Process And Membership Entitlements
Only
members in good standing of the British CMA can take part in the nomination and
voting process for our annual awards.
Who could nominate?
BCMA Members. Each member could send up to three
nominations per award category.
Artist
members were allowed to nominate themselves if they so wish.
NOMINATIONS: Opened on 20 July 2019 and closed on 10 August 2019.
(3 weeks)
All
the nominations were collated and presented to the British CMA board, who drew
up a shortlist for each award.
The
shortlist goes forward to the voting process for members to vote.
VOTING:
Voting will open on 20th Aug 2019 and closed on 17th Sept 2019. (4 weeks).
The
Voting is controlled and adjudicated by an independent body and the results are
released on awards night.

She has been singing
professionally for over 10 years and is described as “a delicious mix of Irish
and country influence, her sound is completely unique”
2017 saw the official release of
her self titled Album “Kezia”. It received support from BBC Introducing and the
title track “House Of Cards” reached no 22 in the line dance charts.
2018 was an extremely successful
year, seeing Kezia win Female Vocalist of the year at the CCN Awards,
and take home the Peoples Choice Award for Soloist of the year at the BCMA
Awards. She once again was nominated for 2019 CCN Female Vocalist of the year but
beaten out by Lynnette Marie.
As a popular member on the Buckle
& Boots Australia Tour in January 2019 and won this year's Aristrocrat
Entertainer of the Year quest at West Tamworth League Club during the Tamworth
Country Music Festival activities.
One of the more significant
talent search-type events during the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Aristcrat
carried a cash prize of $2,000 for the senior winner which she shared with her
band.
Kezia appeared at The
International Showcase at Toyota Park joining artists from USA, Canada and New
Zealand. She performed "They Fall",
"Diane" Cam cover and joined Gary Quinn on "Shallow" (Lady Gaga/ Bradley Cooper
cover).
On April 26, 2019 Kezia dropped a 6 track EP DEAD
ENDS & DETOURS (Copper Music | Amazon UK - UK iTunes - Spotify) described as "a
piece of genius" by SJ Birds Redroad FM.
It debuted at #22 UK Country iTunes Album Chart (#709 UK iTunes all-genres) rising to a #20 peak (#527; #448 UK iTunes all-genres) the following days it was placed at #32 (below 800 all-genres and fell off the top 200 on April 28.

The song has received 38,000
Spotify streams and she currently has 7,400 Monthly Spotify listeners.
She also performed at the 2019 Millport
Country Festival and has just been announced as the first of 2 acts to perform
at Country On The Clyde 2020, to be held
over the weekend of the 14th-15th March, 2020 at The Ferry, Glasgow. The event
takes place on The Ferry, Glasgow over the same weekend as C2C2 Glasgow and is
perfect way to spend your afternoons as a music fan.
