From moving to Nashville from her hometown of Eugene, Oregon at a mere 19 years old in order to pursue her music career, to being sonically experimental in an industry that praises rules and boxes – Hailey Miller is bound to make waves in the music scene. At just 20 years old, ‘Boy Toy’, is the emerging pop-country artist’s second self released production. Following her emotional debut single ‘The One’ (self-released 24 April 2019 iTunes ) -  ‘Boy Toy’ is the perfect pop-country anthem:

“This is a song every girl can relate to. After hearing one too many stories about the same ‘boy’ from my girlfriends, a first hand experience caused me to pen ‘Boy Toy’. It’s about the type of guy, all of us ladies have come across, who says one thing, but does another and thinks it’s not terribly obvious that their actions don’t match their words. It’s almost comical - and sometimes you just have to laugh it off. Or sing it off in this case! ”

“Hint: He doesn’t want to be your boyfriend, he just wants to be your boy toy!”

 Filled with sass and exuding confidence, you can’t help but sing along when the chorus kicks in:

“Musically, it’s a very different vibe from my last release. Recently, I’ve been feeling really inspired by Pop production and melodies, but will always be in love with the honest storytelling and real instrumentation in country music. I think the song really lets that shine through with modern production in the verses, and more classic country attributes like pedal steel and mandolin in the chorus. And the story couldn’t be any more honest. I feel like ‘The One’ showed a lyric focused, deeper side of my artistry/writing and now with ‘Boy Toy’ I get to show a lighter, more fun side. I am excited for people to see this version of me and my music.”

With the release of ‘Boy Toy’, she hopes to show her audience another side of her ever evolving artistry and give listeners something to sing along to.

Boy Toy is the song that really lets you in on what an amazing artist she is!... The bridge of Boy Toy is wonderful containing half of the chorus which works well allowing listeners to hear Hailey's softer vocal range. Toy Boy features some wonderful lyrics and I really enjoyed hearing such a sassy song from Hailey. –  itskellielou

ABOUT: Hailey Miller is a soulful, pop country artist who draws her inspiration from real life experiences and emotions.

Oregon raised, singer-songwriter Hailey Miller has been singing since before she could talk, writing since she learned to hold a pencil, and picked up the guitar to write her first official song at just 11 years old. Since then she has written hundreds of songs, and is pursuing her musical career in Nashville Tennessee.

In her music, you will find early influences like Sheryl Crow and Fleetwood Mac cross paths with modern influences such as Miranda Lambert. Her early exposure to a diverse pool of musical genres such as Country, Rock, Pop, and Soul takes clear form in the shape of a unique sound.

Hailey writes and sings primarily what she likes to call Pop/Country with a splash of Soul. She’s driven by honest, genuine lyrics and loves creating music that tells a story or makes others feel heard.

She is working towards a future EP. You can find her collaborating with other writers and producers around Nashville, and playing writers rounds/shows around town.
