CONTROVERSY
Morgan Wallen No Show At CMA Awards?
This years CMA awards, widely considered the biggest country music awards, were missing Morgan Wallen, entertainer of the year.
The CMA Entertainer of The Year hasn't openly spoken out about why he didn't show up. However, looking at his past experiences with the show. The previous three years he had been banned from the show for using a racial slur. Since then, the CMA board decided to keep their distance from Morgan Wallen.
However, now his penance has been paid, they're ready to welcome him back. But, it seems he isn't ready to just let them tell him what to do. Rather than heeding their beck and call, he's playing by his own rules. Wallen will show up to the CMA awards when he is good and ready, not when he's told to.
As another gaff, Jeff Bridges didn't even pronounce his name correctly. SOURCE: Wide Open Country.com

Jeff Bridges suffers awkward fail at the 2024 CMA Awards while announcing biggest award of night
Jeff Bridges ended the 2024 Country Music Association Awards on an embarrassing note when he mispronounced the name of the winner of the ceremony's top honor.
Bridges, 74, was on hand to present Entertainer of the Year, which not only covers country artists' recordings but also their live performances and contribution to country music as a whole.
But Bridges left fans cringing after he messed up the last name of the winner — Morgan Wallen, who didn't even attend the ceremony — during an otherwise upbeat presentation.
'Ahh, man! I should come here more often, man!' Bridges said, briefly sounding like his iconic Big Lebowski character, after he was introduced on stage to rapturous applause. 'Pretty wild!'
'It's the biggest award of the night, so let's not screw around, OK?' Bridges added ironically. SOURCE dailymail.co.uk

For shoes, the crystal embellishments kept on. Instead of wearing a pair of
Crox cowboy boots as might be expected (and as he typically wears,) Shaboozey chose a pair of custom Crocs. The comfortable shoe was done in black. True to the classic Croc, it has holes throughout. But to make it red carpet appropriate, the shoe has been customized: it is covered in black crystals, some of which sparkle in the light.

Collins Obinna Chibueze (born May 9, 1995), known professionally as Shaboozey, is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer whose music combines hip hop, country, rock.
His stage name is derived from mispronunciations of his surname, meaning "God is king" in Igbo.
He gained initial attention for his 2018 song "Start a Riot" (with Duckwrth), which was included on the soundtrack to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. In 2024, he collaborated with Beyoncé on two tracks from her eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter.

Shaboozey has creating one of the most popular songs of the year. The musician’s monster hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” was up for Single of the Year at the 2024 CMA Awards on Wednesday night. Thanks to the track’s success, the 29-year-old is also the fifth Black musician to be nominated in the New Artist category. He is set to perform the song at the ceremony, as well as his new single “Highway.”
“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 18 weeks, making it the longest-running No. 1 song by a solo artist in the chart’s history. The breakout artist and his infectious tune surpassed the previous record, set by Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” in 2023, earlier this month.
The artist’s stage moniker actually dates back to his high school days, when his football coach misspelled and mispronounced his last name, Chibueze. “It’s something everyone around town called me—it’s kind of just stuck, so I picked it and kept it pushing,” he told New Wave Magazine.

Tucker Wetmore - 25, cut a handsome figure in an olive green velvet suit and a black cowboy hat.
