The UK’s Laura Aston lands a second No.1 with new single ‘Bible Paper Thin’



UK Country artist Laura Aston has achieved her 2nd No.1 record in a row with Bible Paper Thin hitting the No.1 spot in the iTunes UK Country Singles Chart and breaking the top 50 in the official chart with a bow at No.47
















This is great achievement for the lovely 25-year old from the West Midlands, an unsigned artist, who currently only holds a management deal.

The official Bible Paper Thin video will be released 7pm Friday 17th August on all social media platforms.

UK Country sensation Laura Aston released her 2nd single Bible Paper Thin on August 16th following chart success with "Remember Me" which was released earlier in the year. The UK Country artist topped the charts back in early 2018 with the ballad in aid of a local charity.
Laura has teamed up with Nashville producer Kevin Fisher, whose credits include Rascal Flatts to create an upbeat country jive titled "Bible Paper Thin".

Laura has released 3 cover albums prior to this including a festive album KISS ME UNDER THE MISTLETOE and a Covers album released earlier in 2017 paying tribute to the songs that helped her rise to a social media sensation overnight. Laura became a household name following a cover song going viral on Facebook and receiving millions of views. 
Laura said at the time “The Covers Collection” - “ is a dedication to all who have supported my journey so far, and to draw a line in the covers and move onto original material. I will forever be grateful to all who have helped me get where I am, and I am truly excited for the future” 
Laura has charted both in Europe and Ireland and is currently receiving worldwide radio play for "Bible Paper Thin".

Paying tribute to the songs that helped her rise to a social media sensation overnight. On Aug 5, 2016 The Express And Star wrote that 24-year-old's cover of Dance With My Mother by Luther Vandross, went viral. Laura changed the lyrics to "My Mother". She shared "I thought it was a beautiful idea. I would like to dedicate this song to everyone who's mom is flying high with the angels." According to the article the video had been viewed more than 2.3 million times. Laura consequently set up a Facebook page to showcase her singing, called 'Laura Aston'.

In 2017 Laura signed a management deal with Cre8tive Talent Management as a UK Country artist and planned to release her first UK country single under Legacy Records (Website) in November 2017.

On April 26, 2018 she released "Remember Me" (2018 Legacy Records | Amazon UK - UK iTunes - Google Play ) . 
It was a single for the Libby Maes Little Angels charity (Website | Facebook) who dedicate their time to help save the lives of babies. In Memory of Libby Mae Sharratt (26/04/13 - 09/05/13) raising funds to supply resources for Neo-Natal Care in the Midlands.
She performed it live for the first time at the Genting Arena, Birmingham (Perimeter Road, National Exhibition Centre, B40 1NT) on Saturday (April 14) prior to the Nashville Cast In Concert Farewell UK Tour stop. "The response was incredible & it seriously felt amazing" she excitedly shared.

Aston performed at The Crown Inn, Catshill, at 8.30pm on Saturday, April 21 to raise funds for Libby Mae’s Little Angels.
As well as singing her own music and a number of covers, those who attend Laura’s concert were privileged to hear her brand new single ‘Remember Me’, recorded especially for the charity to mark what would have been Libby Mae’s fifth birthday.
Both Laura and the charity hoped for at least 8,000 copies to be sold in order for the song to make it to the charts.
Charlotte and Rich urged the people of Bromsgrove (#doingitforlibby) to get behind the charity, the night at The Crown and the single.
In 2013, Charlotte and Richard Sharratt’s daughter, Libby Mae, passed away at just two weeks old.
They set up the charity to provide support to hospitals and since then, have raised over £250,000 for 18 neonatal units across the Midlands. (Source: Bromsgrove Standard)

It made Number 1 on the Google Play country charts. On April 27 it peaked at No.2 in the UK Country iTunes chart (#42 on the overall official iTunes charts Live Facebook Video) then #61 as the highest new entry on the UK iTunes Chart overall. Over a 24 -hour period it was ranked #2 UK Country iTunes (26 Apr 2018) and ranked #83 overall (27 Apr 2018).

Over four successive 24-hour periods Remember Me was ranked #110, #84, #65 and #52 in the UK iTunes all-genre placings selling several hundred copies something of a rarity from any worldwide country act in recent times.
