NEW TO YOU

VICKY EMERSON
Singer/songwriter Vicky Emerson has been heralded by the Minneapolis Star Tribune and No Depression for her gorgeous dusky voice and songwriting chops on previous releases but her new 9-track album STEADY HEART (Amazon UK - UK iTunes - Amazon.com), released Jan 4 , 2019 which she self-produced will firmly establish her as an essential strong female voice in Americana music.

With the onset of the #metoo and #timesup movements Emerson began evaluating her career and her own #metoo moments. It became apparent that in her own Minneapolis music scene many women were not in control of their own sound. Her single “Good Enough” (iTunes) as well as a music video was released on Oct 8, 2018:

Emerson was raised in rural Wisconsin, has lived in New York City and San Francisco before relocating back to her roots in Minneapolis with her husband to raise her children. She continues to tour the nation as a solo artist as well as with her Americana duo The Home Fires  with good friend Sarah Morris.
Emerson and Morris have also launched Front Porch Music Group a Minneapolis-based consulting firm for singer/songwriters.
Emerson has opened for Gregory Alan Isakov, Malcomb Holcombe as a solo artist and Emmylou Harris and Ben Rector as The Home Fires.
Her previous release WAKE ME WHEN THE WIND DIES DOWN (Jan 1, 2016 | Amazon UK) rose to #5 on the European Americana Charts and #58 on the US Americana Chart on a radio campaign that she championed on her own. She also mentors local songwriters on touring crowd funding and marketing.

ADRIAN
The 11-track Desert Dwelling Mama (Amazon UK - Amazon.com), released Feb 1, 2019 is described as: a heartfelt and emotional translation of life in the west through bluesy sounds and the soulful songwriting Adrian has become known for throughout the cowboy and now outlaw music genre.

It made a debut at #10 on US Country iTunes Album Chart (#93 US iTunes all-genres)

Blossoming into a mature writer, young woman and performer, the album was co-produced by Adrian and longtime mentor and recording studio owner Craig Schumacher. The emotional and brassy tones the pair produced were recorded at Wavelab Studios in Tucson AZ with musicians that let their inner cowboy surface as they played.

As a student majoring in International Relations and languages Adrian began taking her time off the road to connect with young women her age through her weekly “Dear Cowgirl” posts on social media and blog.

These open letters/poems to women around the world have sparked a huge following for their honest and upfront manner and continued openness about Adrian’s experiences as a domestic violence survivor.

Western Horseman Magazine (Article) has called her the “buckaroo’s Taylor Swift” and have chosen her song The Will James Days  from her first CD Highway 80 as one of the 13 Best Western Songs of All Times. Also from Highway 80 her songs Old Time Vaquero and Praise Him for the Pequaps have found their way into multiple western videos.
Adrian’s second CD BOOTS AND PEARLS was produced by Tom Russell who said in The Cowboy Way Magazine “I heard the clear potential.

Adrian’s third album BUCKAROOGIRL was released in 2012 and Ranch and Reata Magazine says that “Adrian’s new CD Buckaroogirl is a gift to all of us who enjoy real western music.
