Jordyn Stoddard melody-driven single “Bad Baby” out June 21

Nashville, Tenn. (June 2019) — With a bold voice and sultry track, country-pop artist Jordyn Stoddard is releasing her melody-driven, self-penned “Bad Baby” on June 21. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Fla., the 21-year-old has already positioned herself as a triple-threat in Nashville — she sings with the soul of a seasoned veteran, strums a signature blue Taylor guitar and has developed her craft as a songwriter. Stoddard blends the best of country’s heart and pop’s energy, while her bubbly personality lends itself to create a unique crossover sound from a relatable artist.

“Bad Baby" is Stoddard’s first release since her debut album in 2015, SOUTHERN TIDE.The 11-song project soared to number six on Billboard’s Heatseeker chart in its opening week and reached top 40 on Apple Music’s Country Music Daily chart. Stoddard’s first single “Like Me ’Til You Love Me” was released to radio worldwide (Feb 2015), while the accompanying music video premiered nationwide on Great American Country TV (GAC) and ZUUS Country.

Stoddard was slated to perform during CMA Fest on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Nashville (Spotify crew June 7, NashHouse 12pm June 7 & June 9, Tootie's Orchid Lounge 2pm June 8, Kickball event * June 9).

* Sam Alex brought together over 20 artists in a Celebrity Kickball Game to raise awareness for Get Caught Reading, a nationwide campaign to remind people how much fun it is to read. Team William Michael Morgan won the series over Team Luke Pell 2-1.

ABOUT Jordyn Stoddard

Born and raised on the beaches of Jacksonville, Fla., Jordyn Stoddard is a refreshing breeze rolling into Nashville straight from the Atlantic Ocean. The 21-year-old has already positioned herself as a triple-threat in Music City — she sings with the soul of a seasoned veteran, strums a signature blue Taylor guitar and has refined her craft as a songwriter.

Her journey in music began at only 6 years old when Stoddard was pulled onto stage at her first concert by the No Shoes Nation legend, Kenny Chesney. 
She stood before thousands of fans in amazement (and a little terror) as every single person sang along. In that moment, she realized this was where she wanted to spend the rest of her life.

A few weeks later, she attended a Cher concert. While these two artists are on different ends of the spectrum, Stoddard identified their incredible performance ability as a common denominator. The costumes, lights and music she experienced at those two shows became the foundation upon which her passion was built.

With piano and vocal lessons under her belt in elementary school, Stoddard began teaching herself to play the guitar at age 12, during which time she also discovered songwriting. Surrounded by a family of sports enthusiasts, she didn’t have a music mentor as a child. Stoddard drew from popular artists to develop her writing skills and chase a sound that she thought was right. Almost 10 years later, she has identified her true artistry and paved her own path to creating authentic music and lyrics.

A Music Business major at Middle Tennessee State University, Stoddard has spent three years based in Nashville absorbing everything the industry has to offer. She has worked on the business side to understand the full scope of the music industry while she moves forward in her own career as an artist.

Stoddard draws inspiration in different areas of her artistry from three of the world’s biggest female powerhouses — Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Beyonce. From Taylor Swift’s transparent writing, Stoddard has learned to remain raw and honest in her lyrics. From Rihanna’s expression of art, Stoddard has learned to use both music and fashion as forms of communication. From Beyonce’s work ethic, Stoddard has learned how vividly drive and motivation shine through on stage.
