Shantell co-wrote it this fab song with Bill DiLuigi and Sarah Allison Turner.

Ogden recently completed a highly successful UK/ Ireland tour where she played at notable festivals such as Buckle and Boots in Manchester (Sat 25th June: The Acoustic Stage). The new video features a live in-studio performance with her band in Nashville, as well as some train footage with a bit of a backstory.

“While I was on tour between England and Ireland in June and July, I stopped over at the Isle of Man for a couple of days,” said Shantell. “They have a fantastic old-time steam train there, and I couldn’t resist capturing the ride on film. When I got together with Neal Ebanks back in Nashville who directed the video, we decided we should play off the song’s theme and use some of the footage I took. It was a really fun project!” (Find Isle of Man Steam Railway Supporters' Association Website | Facebook)

Truth About Trains" is being promoted by Lee Williams of CMR Nashville/Django Promotions and will be hitting the airways on HotDisc stations beginning August 1.

I love the song and we’re really excited about continuing to promote Shantell’s new music worldwide,” said Lee Williams.

Shantell kindly shares her highlights from a fantastic tour saying: Thank you to all the people who made this possible!

ICYMI: FLYING VISIT
Lee Williams President of the British Country Music Awards and CEO of Django Promotions and owner of CMR Nashville (“Europe’s #1 country music station”) had a chat with Shantell at Heathrow Airport prior to her Buckle & Boots Festival appearance. It was first broadcast on Fri June 17, 2016. Listen here, Click PLAY twice:

Shantell said: "I'm thrilled to be playing the festival along with so many great artists at the Buckle and Boots Country Festival in Manchester! I appreciate the festival staff and the fans for making such a great event possible."

Last year she promoted her single “God Counts Every Tear” (Joe Doyle/ Brian Kolb/ Shantell Ogden) across the UK & Europe courtesy of the June 2015 HOTDISC #198 promo disc. She made a debut at #34 on the Hotdisdc Top 40 debut spending 9 weeks on the chart climbing to No.21. The song, promoted by Lee Williams, was hard-hitting singer-songwriter fare with a nice spacious production. For The Country Record featured the track and in review said that it was: “grounded in a more modern and commercial country pop sound than perhaps her other material is. Still, even though there are multiple guitars involved in the arrangement, each one is given its own timbre and “voice”, allowing a balanced mix with room for variety instead of chaos. As a result, Shantell’s distinctive vocals are able to cut through with crystal clarity, even when things build up for the passionate chorus. The lyrics are heavy but have an uplifting effect, assuring the listener that God is listening to all our pain and hurt, and that no prayers go ignored.

Her previous Hotdisc Top 40 outings were “Love Shouldn't Hurt” (HD185; May 2014; #19 debut) which reached #18 and “Looking For My Last” (HD183; Feb 2014; #28 debut) peaked at No.21. “The best thing about making music is sharing it with others, and I’m so excited to be releasing a single with the help of CMR Nashville,” said Shantell. “Looking for My Last is about being a ‘last love’ for someone instead of a first.
On 28th April 2015 she released her 8 track GHOSTS IN THE FIELD (Hip Farm Chic Records) which contained the standout title cut and “Be My Rain”.

“Another chapter in the long-held tradition of close-knit family music intertwined in both country and gospel music" - Music Row

"The album is a fusion of styles, from traditional Christian hymns, to contemporary Christian, pop, even rock...definitely bridge the old and the new" - Billboard

“[Hillary] Scott's reverent vocals are front and center, with an epic-feeling contemporary Christian soundscape following behind." - Rolling Stone

"Beyond the family’s obvious vocal talents, the collection benefits from top-notch production by Ricky Skaggs, who helps intertwine a gospel, bluegrass, country and pop combination that’s nothing short of flawless.” - CCM Magazine

"Powerful cross-over album for Hillary Scott that showcases her faith beautifully ... a powerful, inspiring work of musical art." - NewReleaseToday

At the center LOVE REMAINS is the mix of the rich, entwined voices of the Scotts, on "new co-writes, lesser-known oldies and time-honored gospel staples" (Rolling Stone). These are songs that find the redemption in struggle, the peace in death, the joy in bonding with family members whenever times are tough. The stories behind the songs are personal, it's music with a message and Hillary has rarely sounded more at home.

LOVE REMAINS follows more than 18 million album sales worldwide for Hillary Scott as one-third of the one of the world's most popular groups, Lady Antebellum. The trio has earned six PLATINUM singles and dubbed ACM and CMA "Vocal Group of the Year” three years in a row.

Lyrics
Beats To Your Rhythm

Hey, hey
When I'm down and done
You're the only one that can get me singing
You're electric, it's infectious
My heart beats to your rhythm, Hey, hey
Never more alive than when we danced all night

[Chorus]
You bring out the best in me
You bring out the best in me
My heart beats to your rhythm
And you give me all your love
You hit me like a drum
My heart beats to your rhythm
My heart beats to your rhythm

[Verse 2]
Spinning up a storm and everybody's gone
We're still goin' strong
I never thought that I could dance all night

Chorus repeat
[Bridge]
You're electric, it's infectious
My heart beats to your rhythm
Hey, hey

Chorus x 2
You're electric, it's infectious
My heart beats to your rhythm, Hey, hey
Chorus.....

The Shires have revealed the artwork for their new album MY UNIVERSE which includes their brand new single "Beats To Your Rhythm" which was released Fri 29 July. It had its world exclusive first play by Ken Bruce on BBC Radio 2 – “You’ll love this, it’s the new single, from the new album by the Shires, we love The Shires they are fantastic….this is the first play anywhere”.
The Shires return with a song written in a shed
Mark Savage Music reporter writes: BBC PAGE
UK country duo The Shires are back with the first single from their new album, an uptempo footstomper called My Heart (Beats To Your Rhythm).
It's just premiered on Ken Bruce's Radio 2 show - and singer Ben Earle has been telling BBC Music News LIVE how the song was written in his friend's shed - "I wrote that with a good friend of mine called Dan McDougal," he says. "We were just sat in his shed, and he starts playing these rhythms - a lot of crazy rhythms, and it just felt really natural as a lyric, 'my heart beats to a rhythm?’ "I live for you, I live for the rhythm you go by. It’s very heartfelt."

Earle says the sound of the new album was inspired by their recent tours supporting The Corrs and Little Big Town.
"We wanted something uptempo for those arenas. Something for people to clap along to."
Like the rest of the band's new album, Beats To Your Rhythm was recorded in Nashville. "The session players there love doing our stuff because it’s different to what they do normally," says Earle. "It isn’t just a straight down the line country song. It is country but it’s a bit different."
Once the basic track was laid down, though, Ben and Crissie fled to Sweden to record their vocals. Apparently the change in atmosphere aided their performance – “We didn’t have time to go to any saunas, unfortunately. But the air is so clean; and the water! They don’t buy much bottled water there because their water is so great. Everything’s just so fresh and clean."

With the of the release of their 11 track debut album BRAVE on March 2, 2015 (CD (Standard Version) Amazon UK MP3 - UK iTunes), The Shires have had a phenomenal impact on the UK becoming the first UK country act ever to have a Top 10 album.
The Shires became the biggest-selling country act in the UK last year (including US artists; selling over 100,000 copies GOLD certified), and one of the biggest-selling breakthrough UK acts of any genre along with James Bay, Years & Years & Jess Glynn. Ben & Crissie continued to build a huge following, in fans and critics alike, landing 5 A list singles at BBC Radio 2 and appearing on a string of high profile TV shows including Graham Norton, BBC Music Awards, Children in Need Rocks and many more. The band were then given their first headline slot at Glastonbury this summer, topping the bill on the Acoustic Stage on Saturday night.

Crissie & Ben were a little nervous but had fun listening in live for the first play of their new single “Beats To Your Rhythm” on BBC Radio 2 which has drawn over 700 comments in 8 hours! Hover over the Facebook video to set the volume, search 12 mins in for the radio spin.

Their incredible new and second album is salted that it will “appeal to both pop and country fans”, with high profile co-writes involving top country music writers, including Kip Moore, and with the album recorded at Sound Stage Studios (one of the most prestigious recording studios in Nashville, which has cut records for other country superstars such as Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum) the US country audience will no doubt be fans of ‘My Universe’ too. The band have already made significant steps to launching in the USA having graced the stage at the famous Grand Ole Opry, adding their names alongside Dolly Parton, Hank Williams, Garth Brooks and a veritable who’s who of country music who have all played at the famous Nashville landmark venue. On recording the new album in Nashville, The Shires said, ‎“It was great to go back to Nashville – we practically lived there. We have friends there now and for some reason when you write and record there you just feel more inspired. It definitely comes through in the new music.”

Last year, The Shires made music history by becoming the first UK country act ever to have a Top 10 album

The duo have clearly been at the forefront of the British country music movement which has seen a sea change in the opinion of the British public, who have embraced the genre and UK bands making music inspired by US country artists.
According to a recent CMA report, country fans are also getting younger!
A cross section of 800 Brits aged 18 and over were quizzed over their music tastes and consumption:
47% of 18-24 year olds now identifying as country listeners (defined as those who listen to country music on a regular basis -monthly or more frequently).
The only age group with which the genre was more popular was the 65+ bracket, with 57% declaring themselves country listeners. Elsewhere, 36% of 25-34 year olds identified as country listeners, as did 37% of 35-44 year olds, 30% of 45-54 year olds and 35% of 55-64 year olds. Overall, 39% of respondents declared themselves country listeners.
The report found that 25% of millenials are more likely to listen to country music on a daily basis.
Of the cities studied, Edinburgh boasted the biggest country audience with 43% of respondents stating that they listened to country music at least once per month. Other regions surveyed ranked as follows: London 40%, Manchester 39%, Birmingham 35% and Wales 35%. It’s worth noting the report cited this as a single figure for Wales as a whole without pinpointing a specific city.
Talking to Music Week, label boss Rebecca Allen attributes much of this success to The Shires: "Country really is finding a new, young audience in the UK... The Shires’ success is opening doors for lots of other artists. They were one of the breakthrough acts of last year, along with Years & Years, James Bay and Meghan Trainor. And that wasn't from a country audience. It was an audience of young people that really enjoyed great pop music."

Chris Koegen, head of international at country label Big Machine, which landed in the UK earlier this year, also believes that country’s refreshed image has made it more appealing to millennials.
“Country is definitely drawing a bigger, younger audience, due to its diversification. When you look at some of the music coming out of the US, it’s very pop-leaning, and the arena rock sound is becoming part of the country format. The younger audience associates it far less with boots, hats and trucks.”

The Shires tour the UK this winter, culminating in a headline performance at 02 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London, but fans don't have to wait long to see them live as they are also making country music the soundtrack to the summer, performing at a series of UK music festivals and events including Bracknell, Lytham, Castle Roc, Cottingham and supporting Sir Tom Jones at Bedford Park.
