for C2C Festival main stage in March 2019
(Weds, Oct 31st 2018) — BBR Music Group artists Jimmie Allen, Lindsay
Ell, Chase Rice and Lainey Wilson all toured the UK this month and were received with
open arms by fans across the country. Many of the shows were part of AEG’s
Country Music Week, while others were part of the artists continued dedication
to tour internationally and play for their fans in the UK. Amidst the energy of
Country Music Week it was announced that Broken Bow Records artists Dustin
Lynch and Rice will be playing the Main Stage at the Country to Country (C2C) Festival in
March 2019.
The dates kicked off with Lindsay Ell’s sold-out London headline show (Oct 16th); before Chase Rice took to the stage at the
historic Bush Hall venue earlier this week to mark the start of his second UK
headline tour, titled the Lambs & Lions Tour, with Jimmie Allen as
main support for all four shows.
Sunday night (Oct 28th), Jimmie Allen closed out a two-week combined run of UK shows from
the label’s roster during October, with a special performance at the ‘Bluebird
Cafe’ songwriters round in London. Joining them in London was Broken Bow
Records' latest signing Lainey Wilson,
who spent several days working
with internationally-acclaimed songwriters following her debut
overseas performance, before returning to the stage at Country Music Week for a
packed performance and Q&A as part of their Daytime Hub event.

Rice found time on his trip to join legendary BBC Radio
broadcaster Bob Harris on stage at
the CMA Songwriters Series (Oct
22nd) for a special announcement, letting fans know he’d be joining the Country
to Country (C2C) Festival lineup in March 2019, for full band shows on the
main stage in London, Glasgow and Dublin.
It was also announced that labelmate Dustin Lynch will make his
long-awaited first trip across the pond to play C2C 2019 in all cities,
alongside Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, and Chris Stapleton. Rice went on to join
songwriter/producer and frequent collaborator Chris DeStefano for an acoustic
rendition of current single ‘Eyes On You’, which is receiving growing airplay
worldwide and has topped 65m+ streams, including over 1m in the UK alone.
All four artists received rave live reviews, while fans
clamoured for the engaging live show experiences. Additionally, keeping a
packed schedule, all were featured on multiple BBC Radio shows during their
trip, as well as stopping in to visit the UK’s 24/7 country station Chris
Country Radio. Ell also made an appearance on London
Live TV, took over Fender’s social media channels and recorded an
interview with Total Country TV, to
air shortly after the new channel’s launch in November.

Hailing
from the small farming community of Baskin, Louisiana, newcomer Lainey Wilson
has as much grit in her as she does soul. She moved to Nashville in a camper
trailer to pursue a career in music and has been carving her own unique place
in the country music landscape ever since, already garnering early praise as “a
cautious optimist with just enough scars and pragmatism to write great,
universal country songs” (Taste of Country) and “one of those voices who will
grab your attention and keep it” (Whiskey Riff). A natural-born storyteller,

GARY PERKINS (believed
to be in his early 50s) remembers playing harmonica in his junior school
assemblies and learning to play guitar (albeit out of tune) when he was just
eight years old. Ten years later, he made his debut stage appearance to sing
three songs at the Ivanhoe Hotel in the South Yorkshire pit village of
Thurcroft. That led to his first paid gig at the same venue, for the princely
sum of £5 and Gary's music career was born.
Gary Perkins and The Breeze are widely acknowledged as one of the best
live bands in British country music. In fact, they won the British Country Music Band Of The Year Award in 2009 and 2011, with
Gary adding the trophy to the Award he won in 2008 as Best British Male Solo Artist Of The Year and Male Vocalist of the Year in 2012 and 2013.
They won UK Country Group Of The Year:
(sponsored by Graham L.Hall's Country Spirit Website “Feel The Experience”) at
the UK Country Awards in September retaining the title with a third successive
win. The band were not present playing at a festival in the North East. They
celebrated their 25th anniversary
this year.

As A STAR IS BORN returned to No.1 on the album chart,
the Motion Picture Cast Recording’s breakout hit Shallow jumped three
places to become Lady Gaga’s fifth No.1 single and Bradley Cooper’s first.
Cooper is also the first chart-topper whose primary occupation is as a film
actor to reach No.1 since Nicole Kidman paired with Robbie Williams for 2001
chart-topper Somethin’ Stupid.
Gaga’s first No.1 since Beyonce pairing Telephone in
2010, Shallow (47,830 sales, including 34,406 from sales-equivalent streams + 13,424 paid-for sales) is one of three
tracks from the film allowed to chart under primary artist rules, although the
others – Gaga solo Always Remember Us This Way (31-25, 16,815 sales) and
Gaga/Cooper track I’ll Never Love Again (34-27, 15,674 sales) - also continue
to grow.

HMV is now the UK's leading retailer for
physical music sales, overtaking Amazon.
Based on sales over the past 12 weeks (up to September
23), HMV's market share of physical music (CD and vinyl) rose to 28%, pushing ahead of Amazon (21.1%), according to
the latest data from Kantar Worldpanel.
The landmark Now That's What I Call Music 100 and the
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again cast recording were among the best physical sellers
over the three-month period.
The news comes as it appears that supermarkets
Sainsbury's and Tesco are cutting back on their physical music offering.

rock, country, R&B, and Americana, which is an incredible testament to his
versatility as well as to his roots.
Known for his signature "Swamp Rock" sound,
WHITE penned hits including "Polk Salad Annie" (Lyric of the week
feature)and "Rainy Night In Georgia," which led to a 2016 nomination to
the Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame.
A one-of-a-kind songwriter, his songs were covered by
Elvis Presley, Tina Turner, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Joe Cocker, Tim
McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Ray Charles, and countless others.

His newest album, BAD MOUTHIN’, was released in
September 2018, and features a blend of classics as well as five White
originals, including two of the first songs he wrote—just before penning his breakthrough
hits “Polk Salad Annie” and “A Rainy Night in Georgia” in 1967.

that I’ve done, I would say it’s realness,” said White. “Even my songs that are
sweet little love ballads —those are all real, inspired by real love and real

Oct 2018) Singer/songwriter Freddie Hart has died
Singer/songwriter Freddie Hartdied Saturday (Oct 27)
in Burbank, CA at age 91. Hart was best known for his 1971 country chart topper
and pop crossover hit, the Grammy-nominated "Easy
Loving," which won CMA Song of the Year in
1971 and 1972. Other No.1s included "My Hang-Up Is You" (1972) and
"Super Kind Of Woman" (1973).
HART's
recording career began in the 50s, but he was an accomplished songwriter, too,
with artists such as Porter Wagoner, Buck Owens, Patsy Cline, George Jones,
Waylon Jennings, and Eddy Arnold recording his music.
In
2001 Hart was inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Arrangements are
