“It’s
been too long and I cannot wait to come back to the UK,” said McCreery. “We’ve
had so many e-mails and social media posts from fans asking us to return, and
I’m happy to say ‘we’re coming!’ I’ve never been to Belfast or Birmingham
before, and I am looking forward to visiting those cities. I’ve only been to
Glasgow as part of C2C a few years ago, so I’m excited to come on my own. And
the band and I had a blast the last time we were in London and Manchester, so I
knew we had to come back there. It’s always special to come and perform in the
UK!”
McCreery
performed two sold-out shows in London and one sold-out show in Manchester in
2019. He returned to London in 2022 as part of C2C: Country to Country
Festival, which also took him to Glasgow for the first time as well as Dublin,
Ireland.
His
current single, ‘Fall of Summer’, is the second song released from Rise
& Fall. The music video, directed by Jeff Ray, will premiere this
Friday, 20th September on YouTube. More info will be released on McCreery’s
socials as the date gets closer.
McCreery
co-wrote 12 of the 13 songs on Rise & Fall, which Billboard
observed, “Light-hearted fare such as ‘Stuck Behind a Tractor’ and ‘And
Countin’’ mesh with heartbreak brushoffs such as ‘Lonely’, the
bluegrass-inflected album-closer ‘Porch’ and the faith-filled ‘Red Letter
Blueprint’.” Rolling Stone calls
the album “every bit as legit as Jamey Johnson’s That Lonesome Song, Garth
Brooks’ In Pieces, or Randy Travis’ Storms of Life”.
Most
recently, McCreery joined Callista Clark on her latest release, the duet
‘Gettin’ Old’, available to stream/download now via Dreamcatcher
Artists. Clark wrote the song with Averie Bielski and Karen Kasowski, while
Joey Hyde and Frank Rogers share production credits.
“I’ve
been a fan of Callista and her talent for some time, especially after having
her out on my European tour a few years ago,” said McCreery. “I loved this song
from the first time I heard it and was honored that she asked me to sing it
with her.” The
two recently released a music video for the track, conceived, produced and
directed by award-winning filmmaker Roman White - watch here.

The premiere winter festival and
international celebration of Celtic music will illuminate stages across Glasgow
from Thursday 16 January to Sunday 2 February, eclipsing dark winter nights
with a kaleidoscope of internationally-renowned music, exciting new
performances, unique showcases and one-off collaborations. Demonstrating just
why Glasgow is a UNESCO City of Music, the festival, delivered by Glasgow Life,
will fill around 25 venues on both sides of the Clyde with around 300 events
across 18 days, anticipating around 110,000 visitors and an estimated 1,200
musicians and artists. Now in its 32nd year and almost five times the size it
was when it began in 1994, Celtic Connections continues to push the envelope of
artistic programming and ambition. The festival’s 2025 bill spans a myriad of
genres, from acoustic, traditional, Americana and orchestral to indie,
jazz, blues, experimental and more. The event will welcome artists from around
20 countries around the world including Australia, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan,
France, Italy, Nigeria, Spain, Wales, Ireland, Republic of the Congo and many
more.

2024 is going to be the biggest and best ever. The Thursday night in two rooms
of the clubhouse and Friday, Saturday and Sunday on their open air stage. As
always great value for money and an amazing line up for our 16th festival. You are met on arrival and receive your passes
then are shown to you previously booked pitch. They even help you locate your
caravan in place if you need it.
