The UK’s biggest country music export The Shires have announced an intimate acoustic tour for 2025. The Two of Us tour will see Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes tour the length and breadth of the UK performing all their classic tracks.

The Shires achievements speak for themselves: three consecutive UK Top 3 albums, four number one UK Country albums, 100 million + streams, two Gold-certified records, and countless sold-out headline shows, including filling the prestigious Royal Albert Hall.

The Shires shared on Facebook: 2025 – “ON THE ROAD AGAIN! Tickets are on sale now. We started playing acoustically in pubs around Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire (found these old photos this morning).

It’s so exciting for us to come full circle playing stripped back with no bells and whistles, albeit to a lot bigger crowds (the photo with the microphone is from one of our first shows and felt huge to us at the time).

Thanks to every single one of you that saw us live in 2024, the response was beyond our wildest dreams. We had so much fun playing these acoustic shows we just HAD to do more!

The Shires first broke through in 2014 with their single Nashville Grey Skies’, a playful song about Britain needing its own country scene. And that’s something which they helped happen, starting with their 2015 debut 'Brave', which became the first ever Top 10 album by a UK country music artist. That success continued with a succession of hit albums: 2016’s 'My Universe', 2018’s 'Accidentally On Purpose', 2020’s 'Good Years' and 2022’s '10 Year Plan'.

Their authenticity saw them embraced by the Nashville scene immediately, leading to two CMA Awards, touring highlights including C2C Festival and shows as guests to Carrie UnderwoodLittle Big TownThe Corrs and more.

On August 2, 2024 The Shires returned with Undone Vol.1, their first ever acoustic album. 11 tracks, featuring 10 beautiful, reimagined versions of the duo’s biggest hits including Daddy’s Little Girl (67K Spotify Streams), a piano version of 'Sleepwalk' and Just Wanna Love You (* Their most streamed Spotify track 15.5 million streams since Feb 2015). The album also includes a touching cover of ‘While I Was Away’ by Zane Williams.

Recorded at home in Hertfordshire in Ben’s garden ‘shed’, stripping the songs back to their acoustic roots became a really magical experience. ‘Standing at the microphone, singing these songs again was a real rollercoaster of emotions,’ says Crissie. ‘Having twins myself recently and Ben now being a father of 3 means we are in very different places in our lives to when our Shires journey started. It’s been so special making Undone Vol.1 and we hope our fans love these new versions as much as we do.’
