Ashley Star Alongside The Rizzler In A Hardee's Video
NASHVILLE,
TENN. – Big
Loud / Back Blocks Music's powerhouse country artist, songwriter
and breakout star Ashley Cooke released her latest track,
“the hell you are,” available everywhere now.
Listen here (preferred music platform) and watch the
visualizer below. The track was written by Ashley, Chase McGill, Emily
Weisband and Joe Fox.
Fed
up and done playing nice, the fiery anthem finds Ashley replaying every lie she
was told, building to a bold and biting declaration: “You don't even know the
hell you are.” With a clever double meaning in true Ashley fashion, she
transforms betrayal and heartbreak into a moment of raw strength, lacing her
signature storytelling with gasoline, grit and finality.
Says
Ashley, “This song is that moment of clarity when you finally put your foot
down on what you deserve. It's calling someone out for their actions not
matching their words and deciding to be done believing that it'll be different
this time.”
Speaking
of fiery, fans were thrilled to see Ashley starring alongside social media
sensation The Rizzler in a Hardee's video promoting its new
barbecue-oriented sandwich. In the commercial, The Rizzler is at a swimming
pool where Ashley is the lifeguard on duty. He jumps into the pool, faking a
drowning accident, and Ashley, about to snack on the new BBQ Pulled Pork Frisco
burger, sets down her lunch to rescue the lad. Instead of the expected
mouth-to-mouth resuscitation/kiss, the Rizzler instead grabs her burger.

Just
last month, Ashley packed her CMA Fest weekend with nonstop fan moments and
surprise collaborations. From a high-energy set on the iconic CMA Fest
Riverfront Stage to surprise appearances with Marshmello and Ne-Yo at Spotify
House, she also made stops at SiriusXM's Highway Happy Hour, the iHeartRadio
House Party, and hosted her own Cooke-Out exclusively for her fans. Ashley
capped off the whirlwind weekend with a high-octane performance at the
FireKeepers Casino 400 NASCAR Cup Series at Michigan International Speedway in
partnership with Busch Light. She's currently on the road through November with
Parker McCollum, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Dustin Lynch, while also
headlining select shows and appearing at major festivals.

After
winning Belmont's prestigious Country Showcase and releasing her debut
album on Big Loud/Back Blocks Music shot in the dark, Cooke went on
to win her first CMT Award for Breakthrough Female Video of the Year in
2024 and has been nominated twice for ACM's New Female Artist of the
Year, as well as Best New Country Artist at the 2025
iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Cooke also notched her first No. hit at Country radio with her breakthrough
track, "your place.” As her career started to thrive and take flight –
something she had been working towards since penning her first song at the age
of eleven – the silky songstress' personal life seemed to be spiraling. Cooke
and her family navigated severe health issues, losses, heartbreak, and struggles
with mental health – all while putting on a smile night-after-night on stage to
deliver unforgettable moments with her fans and showing gratitude for the
amazing accolades, she began to stack up. Those experiences and hardships have
fueled Cooke more than ever to throw herself completely into her music – and
what's to come is a testament to that.
Cooke
has made debuts at the Grand Ole Opry and Ryman Auditorium; national TV appearances
on ABC's The Bachelorette and NBC's TODAY Show; collaborations
and tours with Ne-Yo, Rascal Flatts, Joe Jonas, Marshmello, Luke Bryan, Jordan
Davis, Cole Swindell, Brett Young; an opening slot on Kane Brown's stadium and
arena tour. This August, Cooke will head out as direct support for Parker
McCollum.
