Regarding the new project Sarah shared with her fans: “Writing and recording Canyon over the last couple years has been this beautiful sense of freedom.  It reminds me of the music I was drawn to as a kid dreaming off my back porch in Iowa.  More than anything I hope this album transports you somewhere beautiful.  Road trips down the 101 to Pink Skies in between.  This album is my heart, myself wrapped up into 10 tracks. It’s for my hippies and cowboys and everyone in between.  Get ready for some sunshine and Nostalgia!
It's a roll your windows down, drive somewhere beautiful and VIBE! It's how I hope you listen to my album. A 70s golden era in my mind, influenced by that laurel canyon sound, nostalgia wrapped in sunshine, I hope you love it. I'm grateful to everyone who helped me create my vision”!

CANYON Standout tracks: Hippies and Cowboys, Pink Skies, Staycation, Getting Gone, Crochet Summer

Sarah first made her name known in 2008 when she debuted the album EVERY MONDAY MORNING released on June 16, 2009. A second album ANGELS & DEVILS followed on February 15, 2011 and in August 2012, her breakout single titled “Home to Me,” was released after being featured on SiriusXM’s The Highway.
Singles “Halley’s Comet” and “Where Cowboys Ride” were eagerly received by fans on both sides of the Atlantic.
DREAM COUNTRY (released Feb 10, 2017) reached the number 2 selling album on the iTunes UK country charts.
After three studio albums Sarah dropped her Christmas album ‘WINTER WONDERLAND’ on November 17, 2017

The excellent 13 track WONDERLAND was officially released on June 7, 2019. EF COUNTRY wrote: Overall, with Wonderland Sarah Darling has delivered another strong album of country-pop songs which also shows her being unafraid to branch out and experiment. It still retains all the hallmarks that made UK audiences fall in love with her, namely vivid lyrics, lush dreamy melodies and sweet vocals, but with some interesting touches that stop it from being too same. The whole record has a great summery feel about, especially on long drives – it feels like it was made for the open road – and I think it will appeal to fans old and new, with plenty of potential for where she might go next.
Sarah commented: Making ‘Wonderland’ has been one of the greatest musical adventures I’ve ever had in my life. Every song is so incredibly special to me and tells my story. It imprints this very special time in my life, when I got to create a country album in the UK. Describing ‘Wonderland’ as “a transformative time in her life, one that has allowed her to experiment in new sonic territories. “The whole concept of my ‘Wonderland’ album was to explore a brand new world artistically.  Because of my connection to the U.K., I thought ‘what better place to bring my Nashville roots to be creative’. I think it’s good as an artist to stretch the boundaries, because you are always growing and that’s how you find new magic and move forward to wonderful, new places.”

In November 2019 Sarah’s single “Divide As” premiered on BBC Radio 2’s Bob Harris show featuring guest vocals from UK country duo Ward Thomas.

On 10 July 10, 2020, she dropped a 6 pack EP WIDE OPEN SPACES (THE CAMPFIRE SESSIONS) Speaking to musicandtournews about the project as a whole, Sarah Darling stated: “The name “Campfire Sessions” evokes a visual of sitting around a fire playing these to my friends. It brings me back to my childhood when I started with just a guitar, playing my tunes for anyone who would listen! These are acoustic covers of some of my favorite songs that hold special meaning to me or have influenced me at a time in my life. Most will have been hit songs when they were first released, although maybe not so well known now, so I’m really excited to be introducing them to my fans, done in my own way!”

Having not released a full-length project post-pandemic, Sarah returned with the “stunning” nostalgic themed 10-track album CANYON on Oct 4, 2024. Singles “Red Mustang, “Silver Linings” (arguably Sarah Darling’s most impressive release to date) and “Pink Skies” were released in advance.
