Diplo.
when you’re drinking
you slip up and put your hands on me
Ain’t your momma ever
told you
Just because you’re out
here running doesn’t make you free
I know you’re fine
doing life on your own
But that doesn’t mean
you should spend it alone
Cause boy you’ve
been flying solo for so
long
But I think it’s time
to give your heart,
Your heart what it
wants
American singer songwriter and Grammy Nominated artist Cam was
most recently in Australia for CMC Rocks, as well as supporting Luke
Combs at his sold out shows at The Enmore Theatre, Sydney.
ABOUT Diplo
Thomas Wesley Pentz, better known as
Diplo, is one of the most dynamic forces in music today. He is as much an
international brand as he is a musician/DJ/producer. He's proven himself to be
a ubiquitous cultural figure, consistently bridging high and low, mainstream
and underground, with remarkable tact and reverence.
In
2004, after throwing influential parties in South Philadelphia, Pentz cemented
himself as a full fledged artist through his debut album, "Florida"
which received praise within the underground community. Diplo worked with
M.I.A. on her mixtape, first and second albums, eventually creating the Grammy
nominated track "Paper Planes" in 2007, which hit No. 4 on the U.S.
Hot 100 Chart and has sold more than 3 million copies. Read More www.facebook.com/diplo

Nashville.

has co-written three, Top 6 country hit

It
was in 2008 that Veltz moved to Nashville from New York. Interestingly, she was
in a pop-rock band called Cecilia (with her sister, brother and parents) that
was signed to Atlantic Records. When the band eventually broke up, she settled
in Nashville and decided to write songs for other artists. Veltz is signed to a
publishing deal with Big Machine Music.

ABOUT Jimmie Allen The
epitome of the phrase “persistence pays off,” Jimmie Allen laid it all on the
line to make his dreams a reality. Now signed to BBR Music Group’s Stoney Creek
Records, Allen’s debut single “Best Shot” is a certified hit, claiming the spot
as the No. 1 most Shazamed song in the format for eight consecutive weeks, and
also claimed the No. 1 spot on Country radio, marking the first time a black
artist has launched a career with a No. 1 hit with their debut single on
Country radio. In October, Allen released his hotly-anticipated debut
album, Mercury Lane, named in tribute to the street he grew up on
and the origin of his incredible journey.

Featuring a cutting-edge mix of
Country, rock, R&B, and pop, Mercury Lane draws upon the
influence his family and small-town upbringing of the critically-acclaimed
rising star. The Southern Delaware native’s talent for songwriting is
undeniable, having written a song that was featured in a Super Bowl commercial
and appearing in a Diet Coke ad with megastar Taylor Swift. “Blue Jean Baby,”
off his debut self-titled EP, immediately caught the attention of Country Music
fans and critics alike with its soulful groove—rocketing it to the top of
digital playlists, across all genres. After introducing his music at festivals
across the country this summer, this fall Allen will hit the road once again to
share the stage with Kane Brown, Scotty McCreery, and Chase Rice. The hot
newcomer has already been heralded as one of the top “Artists to Watch in 2018”
by Rolling Stone, Billboard, Pandora, Sounds
Like Nashville, NY Country Swag, Country Music
Rocks and New England Country Music, in addition to
earning spots in CMT’s “18 for 2018” Listen Up program and Bobby Bones’ Class
of 2018.
ABOUT Cam Cam
writes music to tell the truth, especially truths that help women understand
themselves. The proof of Cam’s eccentric candor is supported in the brazen,
bold song, “Diane,” the first release off her forthcoming sophomore
release. Never one to shy away from hard conversations and topics, the CMA
Awards-nominated artist brings to focus the realities of cheating in the
driving, tempo-rich song, offering a redemptive opportunity that unites women
rather than pit them against each other. And “Diane” made quite an impact,
holding a multi-week residency on Spotify’s Viral 50 USA chart, breaking into
the Top 15 on the iTunes U.S. Country chart and peaking at No.1 on the iTunes U.K.
Country chart.
In addition to performing the song on multiple
American television shows, “Diane” was expedited on BBC Radio 2’s A-List in the U.K. and has topped multiple best-of
lists including Best Songs (all-genre) of 2017 by NPR, No. 3 on the 25 Best
Country Songs of 2017 by Rolling Stone Country and No. 2 on
the Top 10 Country Songs of 2018 by Taste Of Country.
Cam | Photo credit: Dennis Leupold
The momentum continues to build since the
release of Cam’s 2015 breakout debut album Untamed, which landed
at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart with the year’s
best first-week album sales by a debut Country artist. UNTAMEDfeatures Cam’s first No. 1
Country single, “Burning House,” which garnered multiple CMA, Grammy, ACM, CMT
and American Music Awards nominations and remains the highest-selling single by
a female Country artist since 2015. Along with working on new music, Cam
co-wrote the song, “Palace” off Sam Smith’s
latest album, The Thrill of It All. The song has Cam contributing
background vocals and electric guitar to the track and was featured in the 2017
Holiday commercial for Apple.
This spring, Cam joined Smith on stage for
“Palace” during all four nights of his sold-out shows at London’s O2 Arena and went on to open for the international
superstar on the North American summer leg of his The Thrill of It All Tour.
Smith is among the impressive list of artists that Cam has shared the stage
with in the last couple years.
Others include a personal invite from Harry Styles at Nashville’s famed Ryman
Auditorium, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill on their blockbuster
Soul2Soul Tour, George Strait during
his 2017 residency at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Eric Church, Alicia Keys,
Smokey Robinson and others. Read

ABOUT Ross Copperman Ross
Copperman was born in Roanoke, Virginia with a passion to create songs.
Following his dream, Copperman signed a record deal with Sony Records in the
U.K. Despite the success of his debut single, he moved to Nashville to focus on
songwriting and production. Copperman has written
upwards of 16 No. 1 singles—from Dierks
Bentley’s “I Hold On,” “Drunk On A Plane,” and “Black” to Brett Eldredge’s “Beat of the Music”
and “Wanna Be That Song”—revolutionizing the sound of Nashville’s Country
Music. He has produced and written songs for a wide range of Country artists
including Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Billy Currington, Eli Young
Band, Florida Georgia Line, Little Big Town, Justin Moore, Kip Moore, Jake
Owen, Chase Rice, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Thompson Square, and Keith
Urban.
Ross Copperman | Photo credit: Taylor Kelly
Copperman is a six-time CMA Awards nominee, having received two nominations this
year in the Album of the Year category for his work on both Bentley’s The
Mountain and Urban’s Graffiti U. He’s a two-time BMI Songwriter of the Year (2016 and
2017) and winner of five CMA Triple Play
Awards, CMA’s honor for songwriters who have penned three No.1 songs in a
12-month period. Copperman continues to ascend Billboard Country
charts by the week, co-writing Bentley’s “Woman, Amen,” Kenny Chesney’s “Get
Along,” Justin Moore’s “Kinda Don’t Care” and Chase Rice’s “Three Chords &
the Truth.” He currently writes for Sony/ATV Music Publishing.
ABOUT Travis Denning A
native of Warner Robins, Georgia, Mercury Nashville’s Travis Denning vividly
remembers the moment he realized he wanted to pursue music for a living. He was
seven years old sitting in his Dad’s truck and heard AC/DC for the first time.
From then on, he was hooked and devoured all types of music from Country, pop,
rock and heavy metal. Denning started playing local bars at the age of 16 and
built a solid following from his distinctive songs and raucous guitar licks.
Travis Denning | Photo credit: Eric Brown
He moved to Nashville in 2014 and within a year
signed a publishing deal with Jeremy Stover’s RED Creative Group. After
securing outside cuts by Jason Aldean,
Justin Moore, Michael Ray and Chase Rice
he caught the attention of Universal Music Group where he eventually signed a
record deal in 2017. Denning just released his debut single “David Ashley
Parker From Powder Springs,” an upbeat coming-of-age song that paints a picture
of a young man reminiscing on his carefree college memories.
The singer/songwriter has previously opened
shows for Alan Jackson, Moore, Rice and Cole Swindell and is currently on the
road with LANCO on the Hallelujah Nights Tour. When he is not touring, he is in
the studio working on his debut album. Denning was recently named one of three
recipients of the first-ever CMA KixStart Artist Scholarship, which provides
educational and professional support to rising artists throughout the course of
a year. Read more at TravisDenning.com.
CAM CONFRONTS
"DIANE" IN HER POWERFUL NEW MUSIC VIDEO
(9
Feb 2018)
Acclaimed
Country singer-songwriter Cam has
released the video for "Diane", the first single off
her highly anticipated forthcoming sophomore album coming later this year via
Arista Nashville/RCA Records.
The
video was shot in Los Angeles, CA and directed by Daniel Carberry (Betty Who, Rise Against and more), who also
directed the video for Cam's breakout hit "Mayday" released in
2016.
The
stunning retro visuals take you through the journey of infidelity. Says the
singer, "It's the apology so many spouses deserve, but never get. The
other woman is coming forward to break the news to the wife about an affair,
respecting her enough to have that hard conversation, once she realized he was
married. And in true country fashion, I've set the whole raw story to upbeat
music, so you can dance while you process it all."

In
interview with People
Magazine Cam says that she took a lot of
care to make sure this difficult situation was carefully portrayed, even going
so far as to take acting lessons: “The
general theme of women speaking to women and being honest in a really difficult
situation that neither one of them chose. I wanted to make sure that a lot of
people that have been through this feel like this wasn’t sensationalized —
because this is a lot of people’s story. I’ve seen people in crowds now that
sing the sh-t out of this song; they’re owning all these lyrics. So I wanted to
get it right and make it raw and real and mean something. Actually, I took
acting lessons to make sure I didn’t mess that up!”
“[My]
response to Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.” It’s the apology so many spouses deserve,
but never get. The other woman is coming forward to break the news to the wife
about an affair, respecting her enough to have that hard conversation, once she
realized he was married. Because everyone should be able to decide their own
path in life, based on the truth. Women especially should do this for each
other, since our self-worth can still be so wrapped up in our partners. And in
true country fashion, I’ve set the whole raw story to upbeat music, so you can
dance while you process it all.”
A
GRAMMY winner as Producer of the Year, Jeff
Bhasker (Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars) and multiple-GRAMMY nominee
Tyler Johnson (Harry Styles, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran) produced “Diane,”
in addition to co-writing the song with Cam. Bhasker and Johnson also produced
Cam’s widely acclaimed 2015 major-label debut, UNTAMED.
As
part of the excitement surrounding the single release, Cam performed “Diane”
and other songs as part of a 30-minute Facebook Livestream on October 31, with
the performance originating from an intimate music space in Sony Music
Nashville’s office in the Gulch area of downtown Nashville, near Music Row.
Among
other appearances in support of “Diane,” California-native Cam launched her
Best Coast Tour, headlining nine West Coast dates which began Nov 28, 2017. She
also opened selected shows on Tim McGraw & Faith Hill’s blockbuster
Soul2Soul
Tour
and for international star Harry Styles at his sold out Ryman Auditorium show
in Nashville, Cam also wrapped her opening slot on George Strait’s 2017 residency
tour at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with shows on December 8 and 9.

This
week Cam has been attending the Country
Radio Seminar. She posted on Instagram: Here in Nashville, it’s Country Radio Seminar week (CRS) a big
convention for country music industry folks. Traditionally this was a male
dominated event with “big boy dinners” until 15 years or so ago when some women
at Sony decided to start their own, all-female event, inviting industry women
(and even women from other labels) and the group barely filled up a room. This
year the “Girls Night Out” event included
over 120 women. I had the pleasure of helping host this year- there was
financial advising specifically for women, make up & nail pampering
sessions, and Diane themed cocktails. Amongst all these good vibes, I had a
chance to address all these pioneers: thank them for making their mark in a
male dominated industry, and for every difficult step they made forward that
will benefit generations to come. This year especially, the gender-based
growing pains are front and center, and it’s a symptom of the fact that we are
finally here! There are new cultures to create because women are now an
integral part of the landscape. So, I handed out little yellow arrow pins to
remind us of the progress that we are responsible for. This kind of growth
doesn’t happen easily or overnight, so this little pin is a reminder to
celebrate how far we have raised ourselves up, and how much further we can go
together.

The
success also sparked Cam to six
nominations for the 2016 Academy of
Country Music Awards (most-nominated female),
two nods for the American Country Countdown Awards and three nominations for
the CMT Music Awards (tied for most-nominated artist), two nominations for the
50th Annual CMA Awards, and one for the 2016 American Music Awards.
Her
Untamed album on Arista Nashville/RCA Records, which released December 11,
2015, debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart with the year’s
best first-week album sales by a debut country artist (chart dated Jan 2, 2016;
37,346 sales; #12 Billboard 200 debut).
UNTAMED
was met with widespread critical acclaim from The New York Times, Entertainment
Weekly, PEOPLE, Associated Press, and many others. Cam, who co-wrote each of
her 11 debut album tracks, has appeared on national TV programs including Good Morning America, Today, CBS This
Morning, The Voice, The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Talk, The Ellen
DeGeneres Show, LIVE with Kelly, The Grammys, ACM Awards, and The 10th ACM
Honors CBS special (with Alicia Keys). In addition to completing her first
headline concert series, 2016’s The
Burning House Tour, this rising country star opened two major 2016 tours: Brad Paisley’sCrushin’ It Tour and Dierks
Bentley’sSomewhere on a Beach Tour.
The Apple Music Festival 2015 in
London, Stagecoach, SXSW, ACM Lifting Lives Party for a Cause, CMA Music
Festival, the Grand Ole Opry, and the C2C
Festival in the UK and Ireland are among the many events in which Cam has
participated over the past two years.
2017
also highlighted Cam's prolific songwriting. Cam co-wrote the song "Palace"
off Sam Smith's latest release, The
Thrill Of It All. The track, which includes Cam contributing background vocals
and electric guitar, was featured in the recent Holiday commercial for Apple.
Now
in 2018, Cam returns with a bold new single, "Diane," the lead song off her forthcoming Arista Nashville/RCA
Records sophomore album. Joining forces again with her "Burning
House" co-writers, "Diane" is a driving, tempo-rich track that
delivers a sonically refreshing tale of love, regret, and commiseration. Less
than a month after its release, the song was praised as one of the Best Songs
(all-genre) of 2017 by NPR and #3 on the 25 Best Country Songs of 2017 by
Rolling Stone Country and made a multi-week residency on Spotify's Viral 50 USA
Chart.
