"Lonely Girl" (co-written by Chris Stapleton and songwriter Jesse Frasure) flips quickly through a series of stylish, muted settings that alternately feature Kelley and the titular female. She perches on the kitchen counter, reclines beside the bathtub and sprawls across a luxurious shag rug with her headphones on!
The R&B-tinted tune points towards Michael McDonald’s influence recalls early Lady A hits like "Love Don't Live Here”.

Song Lyrics:
What's the matter?
You used to be so in love
Now you're crying
He wasn't everything you dreamed of
I gotta tell you
He really wasn't ever good enough for you

(CHORUS)
Lonely girl, you're the only girl for me
Can't you see?
When you're all alone, put this record on in your room
Oh, and you won't be lonely
You won't be lonely, girl
Ooh, yeah

Kelley continues to catch the attention of critics nationwide with his solo debut record THE DRIVER (Capitol Records Nashville) as Rolling Stone and StereoGum have called it a "stand out" of 2016.

"It's polished yet immensely supple, a collection with room for his rousing mythologies of music's pull, patient seduction and autobiographical confessions." - NPR

"A theme album in an age of singles, 'The Driver' is another fine example that country music is poised to shift away stifling trends and strive toward a more individually expressive era.” - Associated Press

"Inked by a guy who just wants to take a little bit of a step back to feed his creative soul." - OC Register

As Kelley "continues to stay true to himself — all while telling stories" (Albuquerque Journal), his first-ever debut track "The Driver" earned a GRAMMY nomination for "Best Country Duo/Group Performance" ahead of the album’s release. Produced by Paul Worley, THE DRIVER explores new territory with a raw sound that pushes his vocals into a lower, grittier key. Along with his success as part of multi-Platinum award-winning trio Lady Antebellum, Kelley has also penned No.1 hits recorded by Luke Bryan and Darius Rucker.
It's Lady Antebellum’s universal appeal that continues to resonate across the globe, as they continue to headline festivals throughout the summer on the LADY ANTEBELLUM 2016 SUMMER TOUR.

Charles Kelley soars on iTunes & Social Media after The Bachelorette performance

Charles Kelley Ignites iTunes'
Country Songs and Album Charts
while trending on Social Media
following The Bachelorette Performance

NASHVILLE, TN - June 7, 2016 (Expanded Press Release)
Immediately following the television premiere of “The Only One Who Gets Me” on ABC’s The Bachelorette last night (June 6), seven-time GRAMMY winner Charles Kelley has become one of the most buzzed about topics on social media.

As his debut solo record THE DRIVER (Capitol Records Nashville) jumped to the Top 10 on iTunes Country Albums chart, its autobiographical track simultaneously skyrocketed into iTunes' Top 5 on the Country Songs chart where it continues to be a trending search. Written about his wife, the track features Kelley’s signature gritty vocals in this stripped-down version of “The Only One Who Gets Me” here:

On 11 Feb 2016 it was congrats to Charles and his lovely wife Cassie, when they welcomed their first child, baby boy WARD CHARLES KELLEY. The newest Baby Antebellum was born at 9:20a (CT) weighing in at 7lbs. 9oz. and measuring 20 inches long. "We can't stop staring at him, and he hasn't stopped chitchatting with us since he arrived," the couple shared via WOMANISTA, the website CASSIE founded. "He's got momma's nose and daddy's eyes and vocal chords and a head full of blond hair."
Kelley honored Cassie, who he wed in July 2009, with "The Only One Who Gets Me" from his new debut album.
Every little line is the way I Feel about my wife" he shared.
The Kelley's had been genuinely open about their heartbreaking fertility struggles in Aug 2015.

As Kelley "continues to stay true to himself — all while telling stories" (Albuquerque Journal), the singer/songwriter’s latest single "Lonely Girl" has been praised for its "soulful direction" (Rolling Stone). It succeeds his first-ever debut track "The Driver" which earned a GRAMMY nomination for "Best Country Duo/Group Performance" ahead of the album’s release.

His latest country radio single "Lonely Girl" (Capitol Nashville) was up from 58-55 in its 8th chart week (dated June 18, 2016).

So, it's not really breaking news, but Charles Kelley can sing. Yeah, the tall guy from Lady Antebellum has already had one solo track out -- GRAMMY nominated "The Driver" -- but this time, he comes out of the gate swinging.

Powerful, clear, crisp vocals and pitch-perfect tune oozes from Kelley and blends with style and swagger on this funky, up-tempo groove.
Written by Chris Stapleton (yeah, that guy) and Jesse Frasure, the hooky groove is reminiscent of the Stapleton-penned Thomas Rhett hit, "Crash And Burn." With a fun, retro vibe and gritty production elements, Kelley oohs and ahhs the listener in to a good-time trance. Is he trying to win over the girl in the song, the listener, or both? You decide.
"Lonely girl / You're the only girl for me / Can't you see? / When you're all alone / Put this record on in your room / Oh, and you won't be lonely / You won't
be lonely girl."
This song is slated to be sexy, hooky, vibey and groovy,
