Dierks Bentley's 'scorching' single earns 18th #1

DIERKS BENTLEY BLAZES TO TOP OF COUNTRY RADIO TODAY
WITH 18TH CAREER NO. ONE “BURNING MAN”

Bentley’s “Most Affecting Song” Marks Back-to-Back Chart Toppers
From Critically Acclaimed Album THE MOUNTAIN

2019 BURNING MAN TOUR Continues to “Take Fans On A Wild Ride”
as it Treks from Canada to U.S. This Week

NASHVILLE, TN - Jan. 28, 2019 - Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley earned his 18th No. One single with “Burning Man” (featuring Brothers Osborne) as the fiery-but-reflective track topped the Mediabase/Country Aircheck singles charts this week. Serving as the second consecutive chart topper from Bentley's ninth studio album THE MOUNTAIN, "his most affecting song” (Rolling Stone) inspired his 2019 BURNING MAN TOUR that will continue with shows this week in Canada, before returning stateside for the kickoff of the US leg on Thursday (1/31) in Spokane, WA.

“I felt an authentic connection to this song the first time I heard and my attachment to it has only strengthened night after night as I watch our fans connect with it. It is as much their song as it is mine...we all face that push and pull of who we are as people. As always, I’m very grateful to Country Radio for continuing to help share this journey.”

With his "youthful, bluegrass-influenced angle on rocking country" (Vulture), Bentley is known to showcase music "that resists Music Row’s standard-issue gloss" (New York Times). The "scorching" (Esquire) single is no exception and showcases how "Bentley releases the most thoughtful, complete collections in Country music" (USA Today).

"Bentley’s questioning of his relationship to the world and his place in it serves as a through-line on such songs as the wistful 'Burning Man,' where he’s balancing his fading youth with growing responsibilities." - Billboard

"A high-water mark for Bentley – his most affecting song since 2015's magnificent ‘Riser.' 'Burning Man' builds on that ballad's theme of evolution, as Bentley assesses his place in the world as a 40-something troubadour." - Rolling Stone

“A Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers-style rock song that ends with a banjo-guitar breakdown.” - Associated Press

"The title is a reference to the notorious Nevada desert festival, but the lyrics act as a summation of Bentley’s appeal." - Kansas City Star

Bentley "is always ready to take fans on a wild ride” (Washington Post) with his “rowdy live show” (Rolling Stone) as his 2019 BURNING MAN TOUR "does not disappoint” (Winnipeg Free Press) with special guests Jon Pardi, Tenille Townes and the Hot Country Knights. He will roll through the West Coast ahead of returning to Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena in February (2/22) where he made his sold-out headlining debut in 2016.

BLACK Leads The List of Country Albums This Year
to Produce Three PLATINUM or GOLD Singles

NASHVILLE, TN - May 30, 2017

Exactly one year since the release of Dierks Bentley's eighth studio album BLACK (Capitol Records Nashville), the title-track reaches the top spot on the Mediabase radio chart today. Marking his 16th career No. One, the already GOLD-certified single is the third consecutive No. One off the "most fully-formed LP of his career" (TIME), and further illustrates Bentley's depth and diversity as an artist as the smash hit follows the chart-topping PLATINUM certified and award winning hits "Somewhere On A Beach" and  “Different For Girls." “‘Every single we’ve put out this year has been a really important piece of the story of this album, but ‘Black’ is the one that’s really the cornerstone of the whole project, and it’s about my wife. Watching this one rise to the top of the chart is extra sweet,” said Bentley.

Country radio, music fans and critics alike recognize "Bentley is his own brand” (OC Register), as he continues to balance "robust record sales and heavy radio play with acclaim from even those critics who had seemed allergic to Nashville's output in the past,” (Esquire) on his 2017 WHAT THE HELL WORLD TOUR.

"Whatever trends come and go, Bentley will always be there as an anchor point for the genre." - The Plain Dealer

"Bentley has solidified himself as one of Country’s most consistent stars, with No. One songs, platinum albums and high-profile tours.” - Baltimore Sun

"At his shows, Dierks Bentley is always ready to take fans on a wild ride." - Washington Post

“Had the audience singing along at top volume...working the crowd with the charismatic brand of showmanship that's made him one of Country music's most exciting entertainers” - Arizona Republic

Dierks Bentley dominates sold-out Nashville crowd

Dierks Bentley’s First-Ever headlining Nashville Bridgestone Arena Show
keeps sold-out crowd on their feet until the very last note
on opening weekend of 2017 What The Hell World Tour

The Monumental Night Included Surprise Guest Elle King

NASHVILLE, TN - Jan. 21, 2017
As Multi-PLATINUM singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley stepped on Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena stage tonight for the first time as a headliner, he immediately earned a deafening welcome from a sold-out crowd in Music City, that stayed on their feet for more than two hours until the very last note.
You have no idea how much this night meant to me and the guys. This is a Stanley Cup…game seven of the World Series kind of night,” said Bentley. “I have my home team, my home crowd and I hope to leave the stage with no voice as a sign I did the job right. Thank you for making this one of the best nights of my life."

Between chart-topping hits that kicked off his career like “What Was I Thinking’” to his current critically acclaimed “Black," Bentley surprised fans when collaborator and friend Elle King joined him onstage to perform the CMA award-winning and GRAMMY nominated No. One hit “Different For Girls.” After challenging himself to covering George Strait each night of the tour, Bentley invited opener Jon Pardi back for “Carrying Your Love With Me,” before Cole Swindell returned for his latest single “Flatliner” with Bentley. To cap off the night, the encore’s “Drunk On A Plane” included Kelsea Ballerini, King, Swindell and Pardi.

Bentley is known for getting "stronger and stronger with every release and is one of the few artists that can go from bluegrass to country” (Billboard) as he recently released his eighth studio album BLACK.
The title-track from Bentley's "most fully-formed LP of his career" (TIME) serves as his latest single, while its music video serves as a "passionate storyline" with the "perfect accompaniment to the personal message of both the song and the album" (Rolling Stone). After debuting at the #1 position on Billboard’s Top Albums Chart and Top Country Albums chart, the critically-acclaimed album has already spawned two No. One hits, the PLATINUM certified chart-topping hit “Somewhere On A Beach” and GOLD and GRAMMY nominated “Different For Girls” featuring Elle King. Bentley has now amassed 15 No. one songs, 13 GRAMMY nominations and is a recent CMA Award winner for Vocal Event of the Year.
"The bluegrass  picker, the  love  song  singer  and  the stadium rocker all packaged together” (Associated Press) has been a Grand Ole Opry member for over a decade and "has developed a rapport with his fans as a live performer that artists possessing 10 times as much headlining experience can’t boast" (Charlotte Observer).

Dierks Bentley travels to remote locations in ICELAND for cinematic 4-day music video shoot

“BLACK” FIXATES TIME READERS WITH SEDUCTIVE CLIP
FEATURING BENTLEY’S WIFE CASSIDY BLACK

TIME Names Bentley’s “Biggest Undertaking Yet” As “Stunning”

NASHVILLE, TN - Jan. 13, 2017 - As GRAMMY nominee Dierks Bentley continues “following his muse to wherever it might take him—with the sky as the literal limit" (Esquire), he finds himself halfway across the world in remote areas of Iceland in the debut of his epic music video for “Black” on TIME. Over a four day shoot featuring breathtaking landscapes, stunning supernatural effects and incredibly intimate moments with his wife Cassidy, Bentley visually sets the tone for "the sexiest songs of his career" (Associated Press, Rolling Stone)

“We’ve been talking about Iceland as a location since before I even released the album last year, but I never thought we’d actually go. The next thing I know, there’s a shoot booked and we are standing on the side of a glacier half-dressed,” laughed Bentley. “The crew wasn’t kidding around….it was four long, cold days in some really treacherous conditions. We were on a lot of the same locations that ‘Game Of Thrones’ and the Star Wars films have shot, and it’s just crazy what those people go through every day. I had the idea of putting my wife in the video, which is totally taking her out of her comfort zone, but I just couldn’t imagine doing a video for this song without her in it and she reluctantly agreed…but then totally NAILED it. It wouldn’t have been genuine without her. I think the end result is something really special, and it was a trip of a lifetime for everyone involved."

“As a performer and ambassador for the genre, Bentley has been a steadfast star, and one that continues to take risks that pay off” (USA TODAY) which continues to be evident and cemented with “Black’s” critical acclaim.

“A sultry bedroom ballad that allowed him to frame the entire album around the story lines of love, loss and heartache.” – AP

"The sexy title-track describes an all-consuming love as if it weren’t so different from a black hole." – People

“Rich with detailed lyrics only made even more vivid by Bentley's rasp.” - Esquire

"It's mood music, sometimes playing as smooth as a seduction but better suited for moments of introspection when you're surrounded by a crowd and need to isolate." - AllMusic

Bentley is known for getting "stronger and stronger with every release and is one of the few artists that can go from bluegrass to country” (Billboard) as he recently released his eight studio album BLACK, which ranks as the best selling debut of Bentley's career. After debuting at the No. One position on Billboard’s Top Albums Chart and Top Country Albums chart, the critically-acclaimed album has already spawned two No. One hits, the PLATINUM certified chart-topping hit “Somewhere On A Beach” and GOLD and GRAMMY nominated “Different For Girls” featuring Elle King. FROM NASHVILLE HONKY-TONK, LEGENDS CORNER

Fans Flood Infamous Dive As Bentley Rehashes Conway Twitty,

Ahead of First Headlining Show at Bridgestone Arena, Jan. 21

NASHVILLE, TN - Nov. 14, 2016
Before his first-ever headlining show at Bridgestone Arena on Jan. 21, multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley paid homage to Nashville’s music history by crashing Legends Corner tonight (11/14) for an impromptu set.

After Bentley shared his plans on social media, fans lined the streets of Broadway for hours hoping to get into the legendary honky-tonk. With walls plastered in classic Country album covers, those who made it in were welcomed by the renowned radio broadcaster and voice of the Grand Ole Opry Eddie Stubbs, who invited Bentley to the stage.

Let me share a little bit of history before he gets started,” said Stubbs. “He’s played a lot of music on this block. He embraces the legends and welcomes new artists with open arms. He’s a keeper.”

“This place is an especially fun way for me and the guys to get warmed up for the show in January,” said Bentley. “That big line meant so much to me. We love being able to take it back to the time we had no money and just played for the love of music. Wow…thanks for being part of this before we head across the street."

Facebook Video, Hover over, play and set volume

With the same drummer backing him since his days of playing for free beer and tips at what used to be Wolfy’s Den a few doors down, Bentley's spontaneous set list included Conway Twitty, George Jones, Ray Price, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Jr., Charlie Louvin, Brooks & Dunn, Sawyer Brown, John Michael Montgomery, Vern Gosdin and Alan Jackson covers before tourmate Cole Swindell hopped on stage for Joe Diffie’s “John Deere Green” and Randy Travis’ “Forever And Ever, Amen."
Whether taking fan requests on the spot or paying tribute to his biggest musical heroes, Bentley once again demonstrated his depth and dexterity as an avid fan of Country Music.
“As a performer and ambassador for the genre, Bentley has been a steadfast star, and one that continues to take risks that pay off” (USA TODAY), which is transcendent with the release of his new single, “Black."  Written by Bentley, Ross Copperman and Ashley Gorley, the title-track from his critically acclaimed album BLACK (Capitol Records Nashville) has been hailed as one of "the sexiest songs of his career" by the Associated Press and Rolling Stone. The Multi-PLATINUM singer/songwriter kicks off next year with his 2017 WHAT THE HELL WORLD TOUR launching Jan. 19 in Dayton, OH, with special guests Cole Swindell and Jon Pardi.
