Margo Price announces live January 2024 dates in the UK & Ireland

Margo Price announces live January 2024 dates in the UK & Ireland

Following a “spellbinding” sold-out performance at London’s Lafayette in August, Margo Price is all set to make her triumphant return to the UK and Ireland in January 2024. The much-anticipated tour will kick off at Gorilla in Manchester on January 26th, followed by electrifying shows at the Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow (as part of Celtic Connections) and Vicar Street in Dublin. The tour will reach its climax with a spectacular performance at KOKO in London on January 30th. Tickets went on general sale Friday 3 November at 10am.

Margo Price, accompanied by her talented band, expressed her enthusiasm about the upcoming shows, stating, “I’m beyond excited to travel across the pond to both the UK and Ireland next year with my entire band. The Pricetags and I have built a completely unique live experience that brings listeners thoughtful songwriting and a psychedelic country rock show. It’s often imitated but never duplicated. No money back if you get your face melted.

On Friday October 13, 2023, Margo Price fully expanded her 2023 opus with the release of STRAYS II. Building on and further intensifying the resilient, resounding and hard-rocking proclamations that made Strays her "strongest solo work yet" (The New Yorker), and "the most comprehensive iteration of her continually evolving palette" (Rolling Stone), this expanded collection delivers both a double album and a psychedelic sequel. With production and special appearances from Jonathan Wilson, as well as new collaborations with Buck Meek of Big Thief, Mike Campbell and Ny Oh, its nine new songs unfold in the form of three distinct acts, each telling its own unique story of love, grief and acceptance. Act I: Topanga Canyon reflects on wild young lust, the cost of living and the sacrifice it takes to find freedom. Inspired by beat poetry, out-of-body experiences and the loss of Price's family farm, Act II: Mind Travel enters the parts of a trip where one ponders the past but embraces the present with open arms. Out now via Loma Vista Recordings, Act III: Burn Whatever's Left is the come down and the reckoning. Listen to Strays II and the previously unheard Act III: Burn Whatever's Left, including "Homesick (feat. Jonathan Wilson)," "Where Did We Go Wrong" and "Burn Whatever's Left".

Since the release of Strays, Margo Price earned nominations for Artist of The Year, Album of The Year and Song of The Year at the Americana Honors & Awards, tying for the most nominations of any single artist in 2023. She has brought Strays songs and stories to CBS MorningsHoward SternNPR and The Late Late Show with "Radio" collaborator Sharon Van Etten, discussed her memoir Maybe We'll Make It during the closing keynote of SXSW, appeared on the covers of Relix, Pollstar and The Nashvillian magazines, reigned for 14 weeks at #1 on the Americana radio charts with "Change of Heart," and released a new version of that song with Sierra Ferrell. Throughout the year she also celebrated Willie Nelson's 90th birthday at the Hollywood Bowl, published a powerful, personal essay about gun control at Rolling Stone, met with Tennessean lawmakers, sang alongside Dr. Jill Biden at Nashville's vigil for the Covenant shooting victims, and headlined sold-out tour dates across the country.

Margo  performed songs from Strays and more in her latest episode of Austin City Limits, which premiered October 28th on PBS (LINK).

In recent times, Price has also shared the stage with Chris Stapleton and Tyler Childers, detailed the new Jessi Colter album that she produced, and welcomed Sturgill Simpson to her set at Farm Aid, where she is the first female artist to sit on the board of directors, alongside Dave MatthewsJohn MellencampNeil Young and Willie Nelson

Margo Price Releases 4-Song EP 'Weakness' Via Third Man Records

Margo Price has released an EP of new music entitled WEAKNESS, via Third Man Records. Recorded at Sam Phillips Recording in Memphis, ‘Weakness’ was produced by Grammy-winner Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell, Zac Brown), Alex Munoz, Jeremy Ivey, and Price herself. The collection features 4 new tracks including recent live show juggernaut “Paper Cowboy,” as well as the hard-drinking country-rock title track, which Zane Lowe premiered this afternoon on his Beats1 radio show. ‘Weakness’ is available everywhere now digitally, and will be available physically as two 2-song 45’s beginning tomorrow, July 28th.

Release Date: 27 July 2017

Label : Third Man Records LLC

4 Tracks/ Time: 15:42

The four new tracks are being released as a two-piece 7’’ bundle “EP” - a Third Man Records first.

Price has had a historic run following the release of her 2016 debut MIDWEST FARMER’S DAUGHTER (Third Man). Behind that album she performed on SNL, Fallon, Colbert, Seth Meyers, Conan, Charlie Rose, CBS This Morning, Austin City Limits, and more, collaborated with some of her heroes including Jack White, Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, and Kris Kristofferson. She won the Americana Music Association's 'Emerging Artist' Award, the American Music Prize, and was even given her own display at The Country Music Hall of Fame.

Terrific, succinct, and diverse, it's both joyous and completely cutting -- a signature that Price showcased all across her debut, Midwest Farmer's Daughter. It begins with the title track, "Weakness," a jangly modern honkytonk that would make Merle Haggard grin about the dichotomy that lives inside us all: "Sometimes I'm my only friend and my own worst enemy," she sings. Who out there can't relate to that feeling that no one can understand our deepest dreams, but our thoughts also breed our worst nightmares? - The Bluegrass Situation
Called Weakness, the EP collects four new songs that oscillate between barroom swagger and tender balladry. - Consequence Of Sound

Later this year Price will play dates with Willie Nelson, Chris Stapleton, Eric Church, John Prine, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and others. Full tour routing below.
