GQ Shares First Listen Of “Craving You"

NASHVILLE, TN - Mar. 31, 2017 - To break the rules, you have to first master the guidebook – and few in Country music are both simultaneously paving new ground while paying tribute to the past like mutli-PLATINUM artist Thomas Rhett.

He has shaped his own unique corner of the genre that is as fearless as it is furiously fun, and now the ACM-nominee has partnered up with GRAMMY award-winner Maren Morris for his dynamic new single, "Craving You" (co-written by One Direction producer Julian Bunetta). The lead track from his upcoming third studio album that dips into the eighties with an infectious groove and twangy backbone that proves Thomas Rhett doesn't see boundaries – and if he does, he just dances right over them. “Craving You” premieres today on GQ , impacts Country radio and is now available for purchase.

"I'm so incredibly proud of 'Craving You.' It transports me right back to the eighties," says Thomas Rhett. "There's that Phil Collins-sounding drum, the stuttered bass notes. I'm a huge lover of the music from that genre and I think this song taps right into that vibe. And my fans know that I thrive on being unpredictable."

On the day "Craving You" was composed, Thomas Rhett was scheduled to be at the co-writing session with “Craving You” co-writers Julian Bunetta and Dave Barnes – but he ended up sick and unable to attend. Somehow, the song created that afternoon perfectly captured the sonic palate he was looking for, so much so that it almost felt like kismet. "Craving You" is sensual and a little dangerous – it's about wanting to be right back in the arms of a lover, even if you've only been apart for a minute.  To capture that chemistry, he recruited the electric Morris, with thrilling and pristine results. Thomas Rhett and Morris both bend the genre of country music in unique, groundbreaking ways, and their combination is undeniable.

"Every song is written for a reason, but it felt like this one was meant for me.” Added Thomas Rhett. "I remember texting Maren and asking if she would sing on the song. She came over and just blew me away. I was amazed at how much her voice fit the song. Having a woman on the song made it twice as craving – a guy and a girl, obsessed with each other. I think that's relatable."

"Craving You" follows Thomas Rhett's PLATINUM certified sophomore album TANGLED UP DELUXE (The Valory Music Co.), which includes his recent seventh career No. One and fastest rising single of his career, “Star Of The Show,” along with the 3X PLATINUM six-week chart-topping smash “Die A Happy Man.” While surprising fans with a taste of new music throughout sold-out stops on his 2017 HOME TEAM TOUR, he continues to usher in capacity crowds with “one of the best Country concerts of the year" (Peoria Journal Star).

Courtney Marie Andrews is performing on the first episode of Later With Jools Holland on 11 April!

After a sold out February tour of the UK, Courtney Marie Andrews is back in the UK this month to appear on the first episode of the 50th series of Later with Jools Holland alongside the likes of Kasabian, Spoon & Goldfrapp.

Courtney’s breakthrough album HONEST LIFE has received consistently ecstatic reviews and she recently found time to record a version of “I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free" with Bonnie “Prince” Billy for Our First 100 Days charity.
Courtney and Will Oldham aka Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy joined forces to record a cover of I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free – a song made famous by Nina Simone. The track which is available on Bandcamp, being released in aid of the First 100 Days Project, where one rare, unreleased or exclusive song is released every day of the first 100 days of Donald Trump’s presidency. Contributors so far include the likes of Bill Fay, Califone, Jason Molina, Angel Olsen and Loose alumni Hurray For The Riff Raff.

Here are some words from Courtney and Will:
“I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free is an amazing gospel tune that the incomparable Nina Simone covered and it became an important song for the civil rights movement in the 60s. A lot of these issues are still relevant today and I wanted to sing a song that had a palpable voice for those issues. I’ll never know what it was like to walk the rocky path that Nina did, but her power and unyielding strength was and is something to aspire to.” – Courtney Marie Andrews
“We figured to make a song that would keep folks’ minds, tongues & fingers in motion. James Baldwin: “This is not the land of the free. It is only very unwillingly & sporadically the home of the brave.”” – Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy

Lady Antebellum shares the pulse behind sixth studio album HEART BREAK - available June 9th

LADY ANTEBELLUM SHARES THE PULSE BEHIND SIXTH STUDIO ALBUM
HEART BREAK - AVAILABLE JUNE 9TH

Upcoming Record Is Available For Pre-Order Now

ACM-Nominated Trio Brings Surprise Element To Award Show This Sunday,
With “You Look Good” Performance

NASHVILLE, TN - Mar. 30, 2017 - With a new sense of history and possibilities, Lady Antebellum reveals the cover art and track listing behind their sixth studio album HEART BREAK (Capitol Records Nashville), out June 9th.

Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott had a new mission — setting aside time to put themselves in new surroundings, and concentrate on writing and exploring musical endeavors with no distractions. They rented a house in Florida, living and working under the same roof, and when the creative process proved successful, the trio set up a second retreat in southern California. Fans can now pre-order the ACM-nominated trio’s upcoming release at www.ladyantebellum.com.

“When we started working on this record, the goal was to give ourselves some space from the day to day,” said Scott. “Surrounding ourselves in a new environment with sunny beaches and warm weather really helped free our minds to focus solely on our art. We took some of our favorite writers and other writers we hadn’t worked with before to a new inspiring backdrop, where we were able to just write and soak up the journey. And it was on our first trip in Florida when we wrote ‘Heart Break’ that we felt it all click.”

Alongside producer busbee, their desire to shake things was made evident by their current Top 20 single “You Look Good,” complete with a funky horn arrangement. Elsewhere, HEART BREAK ranges from the sweet melancholy of “Somebody Else’s Heart” to the dramatic, surging ballad “Hurt,” which is a powerful vehicle for Scott’s voice as she soars over a spare rhythm section and classic string arrangement. With the clever extended metaphor of its lyrics and percolating groove, “Army” has a feel that’s a throwback to ‘70s pop, while the bright, breezy lift-off of “Think About You,” with an R&B-style guitar bouncing off of a banjo lick, is entirely of the moment.

“Being together every day, living in a house together, that was the special ingredient this time,” continued Haywood, “And then in the studio, busbee added a whole new layer. He’s such an integral part of this new chapter for us.”

The trio had a hand in writing eleven songs on HEART BREAK, resulting in their most intimate and heartfelt work to date. As Lady A gears up to get back on the road, the group is excited to add this new range of sounds and colors into a set already packed with a familiar arsenal of hits.

“This record is really our story,” adds Kelley. “They have a universal feel to them, but there’s a lot of our personal stories here.”

HEART BREAK TRACK LIST:

1. Heart Break (Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott, Jesse Frasure, Nicolle Galyon)
2. You Look Good (busbee, Ryan Hurd, Hillary Lindsey)

The group’s desire to shake things up was made evident by the album’s first single, the swaggering “You Look Good,” which will receive a special treatment Sunday night when Lady A performs the funky track at the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards (4/2 on CBS at 7:00P CT). After taking time to pursue solo projects last year, Lady Antebellum's "renewed energy" (People) follows more than 18 million units, nine No. One hits, ACM and CMA "Vocal Group of the Year” trophies three years in a row, and countless other honors including Billboard Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards and Teen Choice Awards

Lady A will hit more than 65 shows in six countries including South Africa for the first time, on their YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR presented by NABISCO, launching May 26 with special guests Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young.

Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle Of Love' Wins Christopher & Movieguide Awards

DOLLY PARTON'S CHRISTMAS OF MANY COLORS: CIRCLE OF LOVE
WINS CHRISTOPHER & MOVIEGUIDE® AWARDS

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 31, 2017)
Dolly Parton continues to enjoy a successful music career on many levels. Her Pure & Simple album and tour were both resounding successes, as have been her two NBC-TV movies from the holiday seasons, 2015’s Coat of Many Colors, and 2016’s Christmas Of Many Colors: Circle of Love. Both films were resounding successes for the network, and have resulted in a series of awards for the singer.

Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love was cited as one of the TV and Cable winners of the 68th Annual Christopher Awards, along with This Is Us, the runaway hit of the season, Academy Award Nominees Hidden Figures and Hacksaw Ridge, and Gold Star Parents, an episode of the long-running CBS news magazine staple 60 Minutes. The award will be presented in a May ceremony.

The Christopher Awards win is the latest for the film, which also includes the Movieguide® Epiphany Prize for Television. It marks the second straight win for a Parton-related project, following Coat of Many Colors.

Dolly Parton as 'The Painted Lady' with Alyvia Alyn Lind as young 'Dolly'

In April of 2016 Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors received the Academy of Country Music's Tex Ritter Award, which honors a movie "released and / or receiving major exposure during the preceding calendar year, featuring or utilizing country music." The award shares its name with Tex Ritter, a film and music star from the 1930s through the 1970s.

The films are both based upon Parton’s experiences growing up in the mountains of East Tennessee, and her memories of celebrating the holidays with her family. Circle of Love also detailed the beginning of Parton’s desire to make it in the music business. Both projects starred Rick Schroder and Jennifer Nettles as her parents, Robert and Avie, and Gerald McCraney as her grandfather, Jake Owens. Winning rave reviews for her portrayal of Parton in the movies was young actress Alyvia Alyn Lind.
