Taylor Swift attended the BBC Radio 1 ‘Teen Awards’ held at Wembley Arena in London on Sunday afternoon (Oct 7th). The country/pop singer graced the poppy red carpet wearing a “Marla” boat neck short dress from the Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet Spring/Summer 2013 collection.

She looked cute, lovely, very sweet and very much the sophisticated lady in the cream fit-and-flare dress with cut-out details at the back is the perfect that would hold appeal from her teen fan base (better known as Swifties) Taylor Swift matched up with white Charlotte Olympia “Kitty” pumps (Image) from the Runaway Bride collection featuring ivory satin and a stitched cat face. Taylor first opted for this footwear at the Canadian Country Music Awards in September.

The 22-year-old sweetheart wore her long blonde locks up, into a chic bun, to show off the cut-out back details and finished off her look with ruby red lips and vintage House of Lavande diamond encrusted earrings.

Taylor appeared at Paris Fashion Week and shot a romantic video whilst in France. Then she spent a few  days in London pre-recording a live performance for X Factor, was a guest on ITV’s Jonathan Ross’ Show rounding out her visit to the capital with the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards.

Tay happily obliged her young fans, who were patiently waiting,  signing autographs and posed for photo requests.

Taylor was joined on the red carpet by fellow teen acts One Direction, Conor Maynard and Little Mix.

The show, which is aimed at teens between 12 and 17 year olds, was hosted by R1’s very own Nick Grimshaw. Swift appeared on his Breakfast show earlier this week, where she revealed her own little girl crush - 'I met Ellie Goulding last night and she's the coolest girl,' she told the DJ. 'I've been obsessed with her songs for years so I felt a bit fan girlish. I know all the words to her new song”

The Awards were broadcast live on BBC Radio 1 with video shown on the website and made available for streaming on mobile devices, laptops and appropriately for Miss Swift’s set the RED button on BBC TV.

When she hit the Wembley stage she somewhat vamped up her style in a sheer top with high waisted sexy shiny hot pants and wore flat glittery pumps!

She showed off her slender frame as she showcased 4 songs

The “Sparkly One” was welcomed on stage with the words – “Our next performer has come back to us for a second time. she was amazing last time. I know she’s going to be even better or there be a third time”!  

Suffice to say she most certainly did not disappoint. Her energetic showing did not go unnoticed with tweets pouring into Radio 1 and some saying it was “the best set of the day”. # Teen Awards was trending big-time!

Clearly having fun with her 4 backing singers and band members after a rousing “You Belong With Me” she stood still after the performance, soaking up the crowd reaction, and love and was totally in awe.

She then said “Well Hi London, its quite possible this is the loudest crowd of all time (more screams) which makes me really really happy and it makes me want to ask you a question – 2 questions – Do you think you can sing as loud as you can scream? Question #2 Would you like to dance?

The result was a mass sing-a-long to her worldwide smash and UK favourite “Love Story” 

Funnily Grant Mickelson, playing electric guitar was referred to by the Radio 1 presenters as “that’s definitely Russell Brand”

Taylor then asks – “We were thinking, if this was going to be as loud as I hoped maybe I could play a new song that I’ve never played live before” To loud cheers she responded to the teen multitude – “I’m really happy because it seems like you think THAT’s a good idea! London for the very first time this is a song called ‘Red’ “ Although the single had been out a matter of days in America the fans were singing along with her to every word and this week saw it make its stateside debut as a #2 Country Billboard slot. Taylor, playing electric guitar and singing into a brightly coloured red mic really rocked the place. Painting the UK capital red she proved that this song soooooo works live!

Before her final song she told the Wembley masses – “You know the first time I played at the Teen Awards was a few years ago and that’s something, I’m NEVER, going to forget, I also know that I’m NEVER going to forget what this crowd looks like at Wembley Arena”. Yes everyone knew what was to come next!  

“Like I said that’s something I’m NEVER, EVER going to forget. You know when you think of it I’m interested in other things YOU’LL, NEVER, EVER want to happen, LONDON ..I remember when we broke up... TV cameras were focused on the audience throughout the whole of the total earworm “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”. The X Factor thus maintains their exclusive as “Never” will air on Sunday 14th October for the first time on UK television. WANEGBT has resided in the UK Top 10 for many weeks since its Aug 13^th release and should get a further boost!

Yes it was London’s time to sing as the waving masses in the auditorium cut loose and had lots of fun.

Leaving the stage Taylor gave a shout out “Thank you Radio 1, unbelievable”! 

And she clearly enjoyed the show as she wrote on Twitter afterwards: 'That show was like "EEEEEEEEEEE!!!" @BBCR1 Teen Awards. Wembley Arena. I'm in love with you, London.'

Taylor Swift won five Teen Choice Awards on Sunday July 22. The 22-year-old singer-and-actress took home authentic full-sized surfboard prizes for Choice Female Music Artist, Choice Country Artist and Choice Movie Voice for her performance as Audrey in the animated film adaptation of Dr. Seuss' book 'The Lorax' at the ceremony held at Los Angeles' Gibson Amphitheatre. Swift’s five awards also included: Single by a Female Artist for "Eyes Open," and Country Song for "Sparks Fly".

Taylor narrowly beat Justin Bieber to be the biggest winner of the night.

Addressing the audience, Taylor said: ''This award especially is an extreme honour. It's a true testament to all the support you've given us over the years. It's amazing you're still around and just as loyal and just as strong.''  After Tay wiped the floor, winning five gongs she wrote on Twitter: "5 Teen Choice Awards?! I'm so happy I'm so happy I'm so happy I'm so happy I'm so happy - thank you so much for voting!"

Hunter Hayes won Teen Choice’s “Choice Male Country Artist” Award marking his first ever award win - “This is unbelievable,” said Hayes. He added, “So stoked to win my first award and to know it was FAN voted makes it so much more awesome!! The fans are awesome. Thank you guys! Thank you so much! WE DID IT!!!” Hayes was up against stiff competition, fellow Choice Male Country Artist nominees included Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Scotty McCreery and Blake Shelton.

Hayes’ Top 20 Hit “Wanted,” the latest single off of his debut album Hunter Hayes, was recently certified Gold by the RIAA.

The Choice Country Group award went to Lady Antebellum. The ‘We Own the Night’ hit-makers faced off against the Band Perry, Eli Young Band, Rascal Flatts and Thompson Square for the Choice Country Group Award.

Both Hunter and Lady A were not on hand to accept their awards at the Teen Choice Awards. The country trio were in the midst of the International leg of their 2012 Own the Night tour. Hayes was out on tour, on stage in Twin Lakes, Wisc. during the awards show.

This year's choice hottie awards went to Miley Cyrus and Ian Somerhalder. Cyrus wasn't there to accept the honour, but Somerhalder thanked fans on her behalf.

Teens logged on to www.teenchoiceawards.com and cast more than 134 million votes in support of their favourite celebrities from film, television, music, sports and fashion. The awards were hosted by Demi Lovato and Kevin McHale, the special also honoured Kristen Stewart with the Ultimate Choice Award as well as awards for Choice Summer Movie Star: Female (For her role in Snow White and the Huntsman) and Choice Movie Actress: Romance  (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1)

The Teen Choice Awards aren’t necessarily the red-carpet circuit’s most prestigious event, but no matter; the stars turned out in droves this weekend in the hopes of carrying off their very own surfboard-shaped trophies at the annual ceremony. Perhaps no one is more familiar with that particular sense of achievement than Kristen Stewart. The Balenciaga fragrance face and her Twi-hard compatriots have racked up 41 such statuettes since the vampire film franchise debuted in 2008.

Other multiple winners included "The Hunger Games," UK boy band One Direction. Placed third in the seventh series (2010) of Britain’s The X Factor, they later signed in North America to Columbia Records and have swept teenage girls off their feet with their success in America in 2012. 

The first award of the night, choice comedian, went to Ellen DeGeneres. After accepting her trophy, she honored pint-sized stars, Sophia Grace and Rosie, with the choice Web award. Ellen continues to love to scare the hell out of Miss Taylor Swift >>  YouTube

The blindingly bright hot pink carpet at the Teen Choice Awards was full of rising fashion stars unafraid to break the rules in equally colorful styles.

Taylor Swift – Showing off a lot more flesh than usual she posed in a daring white floaty frock on a night when she celebrated her friend Selena Gomez 's birthday. The 22-year-old country singer looked sexy at the “kiddie bash” in a sheer-panelled number with open sides and back. (Photo1 – Photo2)   

Miss Swift looked beautiful when she stepped out on the pink for the 2012 Teen Choice Awards, which were held at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Hollywood, California.

The “Mean” singer looked so nice in a ethereal white silk mousseline “Sidoni” mini dress by Maria Lucia Hohan, from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection. The soft, feather-light design featured a draped bust, a twisted chiffon detailed waistline and mousseline cocktail dress revealed low back illusion detailing. (see photo)

This was originally seen on the red carpet as a gown, in fact Jenna Dewan and Jennifer Hudson have both been seen in modified versions of it, but Taylor wore the mini version — which you can buy online and play the video to get a complete 360 deg view  - here. 

Taylor wore her long signature curls into a pretty chignon, clipped in a dazzling brooch, to show off her diamond-and-rose quartz earrings. (photo) She also wore a delicate gold bracelet from Lorraine Schwartz and carried a Edie Parker “Lara” nude pearlescent clutch with ice ends (photo) to complete the head-to-toe neutral look.

Demi Lovato – The Billboard Chart Topping Pop rock, R&B, dance American singer-songwriter and X Factor US Judge took the hot pink carpet at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards by storm as she arrived for co-hosting duties during the big night. "Well, I chose it because I'm just really, I'm in a really fun mood, and I wanted to 'wow' people when I stepped out on the carpet," smiled Lovato. "And I don't know, the host has to wear something special, it's the Teen Choice Awards."

Her edgy feathered confection was styled with Loree Rodkin statement jewels and black Christian peep-toe sandals.

A high, sleek ponytail accented with black leather, smouldering kohl-rimmed eyes, black nails, and a natural pink lip colour competed her look.

When she stepped on stage to accept an award on behalf of her band Selena & The Scene, she was surprised with a birthday cake and a “Happy Birthday” serenade from the entire TCA audience.

Selena wore her long hair pin-straight before finishing off the look with glossy pink lips and smoky eyes.

Celebrity makeup artist Karan Mitchell worked with 20-year-old Selena Gomez to create her Teen Choice Awards look. Using her hot pink Dsquared² dress for inspiration, Karan gave Selena a fun, flirty look with lots of lashes and pink lip gloss.

Karan focused on Selena’s eyes by layering shadows and liner and applying false lashes. Avon’s Big Color Eye Pencil in Night Glisten gives dramatic definition to Selena’s sultry eye look. Avon’s 8-in-1 Eye Palette in Paradise Greens gave her a smoky eye and dimension through fun neutral colours. Several coats of Avon SuperExtend Extreme Mascara in Black polished off Selena’s extended lashes.

To enhance Selena’s pretty complexion Karan used Avon’s Ideal Flawless Matte Mousse Foundation in Natural Beige and Avon’s Ideal Flawless Concealer Stick in Neutral.

To give Selena’s skin a super dewy glow Karan applyed the mousse foundation with a damp makeup sponge and only added concealer under her eyes. For her sunny glow, Karan contoured Selena’s cheeks with Avon’s Hawaiian Shores Bronzing Petals underneath her cheekbones and finished by applying Avon Be Blushed in Golden Rose to her cheekbones for a rosy glow.

Carly Rae Jepsen - New pop star wore a beige blazer paired with a matching miniskirt and dark green printed palm trees -  "It just felt kind of suited for Teen Choice. The surf boards. Why not?" said Jepsen.

She polished it off nicely with a white tucked in tee, a pair of black patent CAPECORAL platform pumps by ALDO and a tropical printed “Tiki Bar Cocktail” long clutch by Kate Spade.

Carly Rae is also wearing Karine Sultan gold square earrings and two 14k yellow gold rings with bronze mother-of-pearl and diamonds from Kabana.

The perfect summer look without opting for a dress!

Hayden Panettiere – Most noted for her role to date as cheerleader Claire Bennet on the NBC series Heroes (2006–2010) the “Nashville” actress, singer and model sparkled on the fuchsia carpet last night for the 2012 Teen Choice Awards in a dazzling Zuhair Murad dress.

She arrived at the Gibson Amphitheatre in a cap-sleeve mini dress from the Resort 2012 collection, which was completely embellished with purple beading and featured an open back with a ruffled hem.

She carried a dark purple beaded clutch and wore large diamond earrings with a Swarovski Montana blue crystal snake ring.

Hayden’s multicolored platform pumps are the “Fontanne” by B Brian Atwood.

She finished off her look with nearly nude nails and full beach-wave tresses.
