Hayley McKay is back after roaring success with the new single ‘Chance to Change’ from her highly anticipated debut album due out in April which was recorded in Abbey Road and produced by some of the industry’s biggest names.

With support from Maverick, BBC Radio, Bob Harris’ Under The Apple Tree Session and performances at Glastonbury and SummerTyne Americana – you know Hayley means business.

NEW SINGLE: CHANCE TO CHANGE
(OUT NOW RELEASE DATE – 16th MARCH 2018 iTunes)
ALBUM - OUT 27th APRIL
Touring In April

(28 March 2018)
It’s been a long time coming, but Hayley McKay’s self-titled, debut album, released on the Willow Records label, has been worth the wait. Hayley McKay is back with a bang after capturing audiences through both her live performances and her high quality produced tracks. After the success of her two previous singles, ‘Unspoken’ (Dec 2016) and ‘Bottom Of My Heart’ (iTunes; 5 May 2017), Hayley has been recognised by the likes of MaverickElmore Magazine, throughout BBC Radio including Introducing Tees ‘Artist of the Week’ and Bob Harris’ Under the Apple Tree sessions.

With performances in Nashville, Glastonbury, SummerTyne Americana as well as supporting iconic artists such as Albert Lee, Skip McDonald, Scouting For Girls, Tom Jones and Martha Reeves – it’s clear that Hayley is one to look out for in 2018…

The majority of the tracks are written or co-written by Hayley proving there’s far more to her than just an amazing voice.

Haunting ballads, such as Ghosted and Don’t Give Up On Me, are supported by gentle acoustic numbers like You’re A Song and Matching Suitcase.

And there’s also an element of folk in another co-write - Following The Sun.

The lead track, Catching Fire - another country/rock track that found its way to her from Nashville - also deserves an honourable mention because it opens the door to what is to come.

The new single, Chance To Change, is a mix of all of these styles. Penned by Irish writers Aoibheann Carey Philpott and Joe Carey Jnr, it’s a mid-tempo, lilting song with a Fleetwood Mac vibe that confirms Hayley to be a true, all-round country artist with a style all of her very own.

Published March 12, 2018: Chance To Change (Official Video)

“Every song shows off a different element of my voice and my producer, Matt Parisi, has really delivered an amazing sound with Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road adding his own special magic. I’m so proud of this album and I really hope everyone will love it as much as I do”. – Hayley McKay

Renowned writers, Aoibheann Carey Philpott and Joe Carey Jnr have created a distinctive track that compliments Hayley’s emotional vocals and topped off with Matthew Parisi’s high end production that hook you in deeper with every listen.

New Single – ‘Bottom of My Heart'

Hayley McKay's second single comes all the way from Nashville courtesy of writers Bill Diluigi and Kimberly Paige (found via a SongLink lead in 2016). It's a classic country track with a driving rhythm to which producer Matthew Parisi has added an edgy rock vibe.
It’s undoubtedly Hayley's vocal, delivered with depth and an amazing maturity, that sells the song. The lyrics come to life and you can feel the emotion in every phrase. ‘Finding the right song to follow my debut single, Unspoken, was never going to be easy’, said Hayley. ‘But for me an upbeat, country track was the right way to go. The fact that it’s written by two amazing Nashville songwriters makes it really special - I just love singing this song!’
Hayley has performed in Nashville, played at Glastonbury, Cornbury and Northumberland Live and supported music legends such as Albert Lee, Skip Mcdonald, Tom Jones and Martha Reeves. She has achieved the accolade of having her songs played in CaffĂ© Nero’s chain of coffee stores worldwide and is also a Prince’s Trust Ambassador.

You can see Hayley perform, with her band, at Durham Gala Theatre on May 13th and at Hardwick Live on Aug 19th.
Genre: Singer songwriter, Pop Electro Country

Biography
Hailing from Darlington UK, Hayley McKay is an extraordinarily gifted singer/songwriter with an amazing voice who has immersed herself in music and the performing arts throughout her young life.
In 2011 Hayley won a national competition that funded a scholarship to study vocals at The British and Irish Institute of Modern Music (BIMM) in Brighton. From there she graduated to an artist development course in London with Access to Music - former alumni includes Rita Ora, Jesse Glynne and Ed Sheeran.
In summer 2015 Hayley performed in Nashville where she co-wrote with the legendary Jan Buckingham. On returning to the UK she performed at Glastonbury, opening the Toad Hall stage, before supporting legendary guitarist Albert Lee on his UK tour featuring appearances at Sage (Gateshead) and The Lowry (Manchester). Hayley went on to support Visage, Go West and Hazel O’Connor and also sang on the soundtrack of the feature film ‘Harrigan’ starring Stephen Tompkinson.

At just 25 years old, 2016 was a big year for Hayley. Not only has she started to make a reputation for herself as ‘one to watch’ with outstanding performances at renowned London music venues such as The Troubadour, Ronnie Scott’s, The Half Moon, The Bedford and the O2 Academy Islington, Hayley has played a number of high profile gigs. They include Northumberland Live (June 25th) - as the main support for Scouting For Girls - and Cornbury Festival (July 9th) with Bryan Ferry, Jamie Cullum and Seal.

Hayley also supported Tom Jones at Noble’s Park, Isle of Man (Jul 26th), Martha Reeves & The Vandellas and Tony Christie in Lichfield (Aug 14th) and Scouting For Girls (again!) at the world famous Tan Hill Inn (Nov 18th) for a Children In Need fundraiser. Additionally, Hayley has achieved the accolade of having her songs played in Caffè Nero’s coffee stores worldwide. She is also a Prince’s Trust Ambassador.

2017 promises to be an even more exciting year for Hayley - her debut single Unspoken was released on Dec 9, 2016 (iTunes) and Hayley will soon be recording another album of original songs.
