(Nashville - Feb. 27) - Five-time GRAMMY® Award nominated and multiple ACM and CMA Award winning multiplatinum songwriter, producer and author Kelsea Ballerini announced a highly anticipated deluxe edition of her 2024 album, PATTERNS, which dropped on Friday March 7, 2025 via Black River Entertainment.
 
 PATTERNS (DELUXE), now available, features five new songs—including the hooky and sleek “Future Tripping,” which she debuted live on Feb. 26 during a show in Fort Worth, Texas.
 
The wistful song explores the anxiety and uncertainty that accompanies the passage of time: “I don’t want to impose / Some things we’re not supposed to know yet / But my head won’t stop,” Ballerini sings over snappy guitar licks and bright programmed drums.
The 20-track edition also includes the fingerpicked ballad (and previously issued digital bonus track) “To The Men That Love Women After Heartbreak,” the punchy and atmospheric “Put It To Bed,” the soulful and sonically shifting “Cut Me Up,” and the earnestly strummed “Hindsight Is Happiness.”
The new package expands on the singer-songwriter’s acclaimed fifth LP, which Billboard called her “most moving collection of songs to date,” and Rolling Stone said, “shifts the sonic lens in ways that feel natural and welcome.” The autobiographical album, co-written entirely with female songwriters, debuted at No. 4 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums and became her first to top the Billboard Country Albums chart.

Kelsea’s new album emerged from the wreckage of her marriage as she found her way forward into a whole new day. Weighing life’s moments of loss, love and laughter has defined the singer. Always personal, always unabashed, she’s measured the reality of growing up in a world that changes quickly. 

Navigating loss, finding new love, creating a different kind of relationship and always leaning on her friends, Kelsea wanted to be honest about the cause and costs of how life evolves. She also wanted to work with her close coterie of creatives, notably producer Alysa Vanderheym, Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Hillary Lindsey, GRAMMY Songwriter of the Year nominee Jessie Jo Dillon and Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild.

 
Following her single ‘Cowboys Cry Too’ featuring Noah Kahan, which is closing in on 90 million streams, and the confessional ‘Sorry Mom’, with all the tells of how we fail our parents, ‘First Rodeo’ offers a young woman willing to seek, but speaking to the tentativity that being hurt can create. With a vibey track, a bit of cello and a slightly breathy vocal, Ballerini owns her own experiences and hopes for something worthy of her heart.
 
“Listen, there’s a reality that an inner monologue post public breakup is, 'I feel washed up on the heart front. I feel like I don’t know how to do this anymore,'" she says. "But at the end of the day, choosing love is bigger, and the honesty of saying please take it slow and be patient with me can actually be a beautiful and connective moment. 'First Rodeo' encapsulates that conversation, and more so, that decision within self to be vulnerable and open and allowing the hope of it all to seep back in.”
 
To reinforce the tentativity of re-engaging, Ballerini again teamed with Patrick Tracy for a visually rapturous video filmed on the beach, on a vintage carousel, in a luxe hotel room, on a boat and in the arms of a new lover. With an emphasis on golden hour and sunset lighting, there’s a dreaminess to the clip that matches the record’s own wistfulness.
 
With another track from PATTERNS available, as well as a sold-out Madison Square Garden concert to celebrate its release, the multiple Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music award winner has much to celebrate in the coming year. GRAMMY-nominee, Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music award winner, Kelsea Ballerini continues running her fingers through the small details of her own life to deliver songs and videos that are palpably rich in a sense of both how life evolves and the way opposing ideas can define the same moments in time. Having sold out her PATTERNS release-celebrating Madison Square Garden debut on Oct. 29 in mere minutes, the East Tennessee songwriter/artist/creative offers ‘Two Things’, a yearning song that explores the ways opposing emotions can create their own gravitational pull.

“I’ve learned it’s in the nuance of real love,” offers Kelsea Ballerini, “you can’t understand how incredibly angry or hurt someone can make you, while at the same time, the ability to forgive and move towards healing that can be present. And that is a reality that goes both ways, too. You can also make someone so angry or hurt, and they can find forgiveness and desire in the midst of it.”

Filmed on location in New York City and somewhere far more bucolic, the clip also balances urban sidewalk cafes, the curb outside the boutique Carlyle hotel, city traffic and the bed in a luxurious suite with giant trees, a back road, small towns and a humble, almost homey feeling bedroom. Ballerini ponders the rush of emotions as she hangs emotionally suspended in the in-between between the extremes. Directed by P. Tracy, whose work includes clips from Halsey, Katy Perry and Avril Lavigne + Yungblud, the diffused light and languid cuts create a visual mirror to the video’s and song’s own slow coming to clarity.

The song, which emerges from one of those fights where everything’s over, considers the things that are said and the truth in one’s heart. Emotionally, it is a journey from shattered relationship to racing to reunite and heal what is broken, while visually, it’s a thoughtful unfolding of a young woman moving through the world as her clarity emerges.

“This song embodies the intensity of a crossroads moment in a relationship, it’s full of duality and mixed emotions,” Ballerini explains. “I love that Patrick felt that, too, and created a palette and action that is more low impact but represents all of those feelings. Plus, who doesn’t want to sit in a sunflower field in the middle of New York?!”

Working once again with collaborator/co-producer Alysa Vanderheym, PATTERNS saw Ballerini use an all-girl approach. PATTERNS began with a songwriting retreat with Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Hillary Lindsey, GRAMMY Songwriter of the Year nominee Jessie Jo Dillon and Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild, creating a judgement-free zone to explore female friendship, vulnerability, and the juxtaposing reality that’s the way relationships are, not Instagram-delivered.

Black River Entertainment recording artist KELSEA BALLERINI rules the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart this week with her fifth career No. 1, “Miss Me More.” Notching the first chart-topping single for a female artist in Country music in 15 months, Ballerini was also the last woman in the genre to hit No. 1 with “Legends” in February 2018.

“Miss Me More”(writers David Hodges, Brett McLaughlin and Ballerini) rose 3-1 netting 27275 points ( +3557) with 8,421 radio spins (+1151) and a 49.974 million audience (+6.702 million) from 156 tracking stations (156 ADDS) for the tracking week June 2 to June 8, 2019 and published chart dated June 10, 2019.

Black River’s SVP of Radio Promotion Mike Wilson finds this No. 1 song especially sweet, “Special thanks to Country Radio for all of the support on Kelsea. You have been big supporters of this song since you first heard it, and now, this is the icing on the cake.”

As seen on Billboard’s This Week’s 5 Must-Hear Songs and with more than 1.5 billion career global streams, “Miss Me More” is Ballerini’s eighth career GOLD-certified single. Penning the bold anthem with David Hodges and Brett McLaughlin, the smash hit recently inspired her widely-successful first headline arena tour – THE MISS ME MORE TOUR – with BRETT YOUNG (plus special guest BRANDON RATCLIFF).

Spotlighting her “powerful voice and magnetic energy” (Entertainment Tonight), her “bold and brazen performance” (Entertainment Tonight) of “Miss Me More” at last week’s 2019 CMT Music Awards was noted among several “Best Performance” lists including The Washington Post and Redbook.

On the audience based Billboard Country Airplay chart (dated June 15, 2019) “Miss Me More” moved 3-2 in its 33rd chart frame netting a 35.589 million audience (+3.999 million) and 7,674 radio spins (+ 811). It was one place behind Big Loud’s Morgan Wallen’s 2-week No.1 Whiskey Glasses (37.247 million audience, down -3.973 million; 7,237 spins).

Will the Black River team (Mike Wilson, Bill Macky) continue to push the song to bag a second week at #1 on Mediabase in the hope of snagging an additional Billboard Country Airplay No.1? 
There was a 2.6 million audience gap between Morgan Wallen’s declining song.

As of Wednesday June 12, on the Mediabase chart Miss Me More held at No.1 with 7,729 spins and a 45.764 audience (down 4.2 million) with Warner Music Nashville pushing the climbing Brett Eldredge single “Love Someone” (7,310 spins; 43.824 audience).

Following the award show with a Thursday (6/6) slot during this year’s CMA Fest, “Kelsea Ballerini wows the crowd on day one,” hailed People, as she played a handful of hits including a surprise onstage collaboration of her “arena-ready anthem” (Billboard), “This Feeling,” with THE CHAINSMOKERS. Making Billboard’s “Best Collaborations” list, CMT also applauded Ballerini and her special guests when they “turned the stadium into a club.”

Fresh off hosting her third consecutive year of ABC’s CMA Fest with THOMAS RHETT, the three-hour primetime concert airs at 8/7c p.m. on August 4 from Nissan Stadium in Nashville, TN.

The Black River artiste has picked "Better Luck Next Time" as her next single during her appearance. Watch the episode here (US residents only).

Billboard shared: It was co-written by the show's contestant Darius Coleman, Ryan Tedder and Ballerini. "I'm so over you/Got myself together/You're out of my mind/Now all that I can say is/Better luck next time," she sings in an uncharacteristically yet refreshing pop tune about getting cheated on.
