THE DELIGHT OF C2C COUNTRY TO COUNTRY FESTIVAL FANS:
Ashley
Campbell, Morgan Evans and Old Dominion have been added to the C2C: Country to
Country line-up for 2018.
It
has been announced that Ashley Campbell
will perform on the Main Stage on Saturday 10th March and she’ll be presenting
a very special tribute to her late father Glen
Campbell.

Old Dominion who will be touring
with Thomas Rhett in the UK in
November, will perform on the Main Stage at London’s O2 on Friday 9th March.
Old Dominion notched its first No.1
on Billboard Top Country Albums,
as HAPPY ENDINGS (RCA Nashville/Sony
Music Nashville | Amazon UK - UK iTunes - Amazon.com)launches atop the survey with 41,000
equivalent album units (31,261 in traditional
sales) in the week ending Aug. 31. On the multi-genre Billboard 200, Happy Endings started at No. 7
(multi-metric consumption), #3 in traditional album sales, according to Nielsen
Soundscan.
The group's second album was produced by Shane
McAnally and included single "No Such Thing As A Broken Hear,"
which also topped the MEDIABASE Country singles chart (Sept 5, 2017). Plus "Written
In The Sand," "Shoe Shopping," "A
Girl Is A Gun" and "Stars In The City" (featuring
Little Big Town).
MEAT AND
CANDY released Nov 6, 2015 (RCA Nashville) debuted at #16 on the
Billboard 200 and #5 on Billboard Top Country Albums selling 20,481 copies.
The 51st CMA Awards
nominations were announced and OLD DOMINION snagged nods for New Artist and Vocal Group of the Year.

Luke Combs debut full length LP, THIS
ONE’S FOR YOU (River House/Columbia Nashville/Sony Music Nashville | Amazon UK - UK iTunes- Amazon.com), arrived
at No.1 on Billboard Top Country Album Chart, selling 35,000 copies (Chart week of
June 24, 2017). It was led the chart for 4 non-consecutive weeks.
This One’s
for You was produced by Scott Moffatt, the disc features a dozen songs,
all co-written by Combs.
The set expanded upon his same-named EP, which entered the Top
Country Albums chart dated Dec.19, 2015, at No.36 with 2,000 sold.
“Hurricane,” the first single from This One’s for You, topped
Country Airplay for two weeks (May 27 and June 3) and peaked at No.3 on Hot
Country Songs (May 6). Sophomore single “When It Rains It Pours” impacted
radio on June 19 and is currently No.2
on the Billboard Country Airplay chart (DatedOct 28,
2017) in its 18th chart frame.

introduced the multi-talented Ashley Campbell with her debut
Dot Records single, "Remembering" (written with Kai Welch).
She joined the now shuttered Dot Records (a division of Big Machine Label
Group) roster that included Steven Tyler, Maddie & Tae, Drake White and
20-year-old newcomer Tucker Beathard and more.
The daughter of Country Music
Hall of Fame member Glen Campbell and the goddaughter of
Grammy award winning musician Carl Jackson, there’s no denying her
iconic Country pedigree. Her music is a mix of her wide-ranging influences,
combining the old-school country sound popularized by her father during the
’60s and ’70s with contemporary Americana, rootsy folk, and country-pop.
Glen Campbell’s longtime fans may
hear something familiar in Ashley’s melodies as she embraces these similarities
while distinguishing herself as a talented front woman. The singer knows the
industry well — she spent three years on the road with her father, playing
guitar, banjo and keyboards and providing harmonies during his farewell tour.
“I wanted to write something
that expressed to my dad how much I wanted him to feel safe … that he didn’t
have to worry; I’ll take care of him when he can’t take care of himself,”
she explained. “When you’re little, your
parents take care of you and make the world not such a scary place. As you get
older, those relationships change and kind of swap places. The kids are the
ones taking care of the parents and making sure the world’s not a scary place
for them.”

Evans (CMA Global Artist of the Year 2016 & fiancé of Kelsea Ballerini)
is confirmed to play the festival in London on 9 - 11th March 2018.

Living legend Bob Harris (OBE;
dubbed the UK’s King Of Country) made the exclusive announcement live on Bob
Harris Country on BBC Radio 2 of the first headliners
after playing Tim McGraw& Faith Hill’s duet
"Speak To A Girl" (BBC iPlayer)
After the
spin Bob said:
"The
twitter reaction to the announcement is ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE, it’s
incredible the reaction, that the first headliners are Tim McGraw & Faith
Hill"!
But
then following the announcement of the initial line up for Country To Country 2018 by Bob
Harris (OBE) at the Bush Hall in London on Fri October 6th during
Country Music Week the reaction from fans was very mixed. Many of those that
had bought Early Bird tickets back in March were particularly frustrated

Lars Pluto: Country is bigger than just C2C, bro. Country music has been around a whole hell of a lot longer and it will be around for a long time after C2C comes to an end. Those pop fans who only ever go to C2C every year while ignoring other tours that come over as well as the staggering amount of homegrown UK talent have always been and will continue to be the only real losers in this scenario. So please, don't buy early bird next year. I'm begging you. I'd rather fewer numbers of cardboard cowboy hats and plastic boots show up in 2019. Save your money next year for that awesome Little Mix/Justin Bieber concert I know you pop fans are really craving.
