Ferris & Sylvester announce extensive UK & Ireland autumn headline tour

PLAYING MAJOR SUMMER FESTIVALS
GLASTONBURY, ISLE OF WIGHT, BOARDMASTERS, SZIGET & MANY MORE

Ferris & Sylvester have announced an extensive 20-date UK and Ireland headline tour running through September and October this year. Tickets are available via O2 pre-sale tomorrow (June 5th) at 9am. A Live Nation presale starts on June 6th, before tickets are available on general sale at 9am on June 7th via
Live Nation , Ticketmaster & Ticket Web

Regarding the tour Ferris & Sylvester say,
“We're thrilled to be announcing our second headline tour of the year. We went across the UK and Ireland in February and couldn't believe that the dates had sold out. There’s truly no greater feeling than playing to a room filled with people singing along to our songs. We've written and worked on a lot of new material since then, been to the States for the first time and toured Europe. Plus this time we're bringing the band. The venues will be bigger and we're going to a lot more places, so it's going to be wild!”

2019 is proving to be Ferris & Sylvester’s most important and exciting year yet. Following their sold out debut headline tour earlier in the year, they hit the road again this autumn to play over double the amount of shows, with an expanded sound and an even more impressive following behind them.

Ferris & Sylvester have also been going down a storm at festivals across the world including SXSW, The Great Escape, Live At Leeds, Eurosonic and many more.

With a busy summer ahead for the duo they have been announced to play further festivals across the UK and Europe including Glastonbury, Isle Of Wight, Boardmasters, Sziget, Belladrum and many more listed below.

The band’s recent singles ‘Flying Visit,
‘Sickness’ and ‘Burning River’ have displayed their most raw and powerful sound yet. They have been proving a hit at radio with support across the board of Radio 1, BBC 6Music, Radio 2, Radio X and BBC Introducing – who also invited them to record a live session at Maida Vale Studios:

Ferris & Sylvester are on an unstoppable upward trajectory and winning hearts across the world with their distinctive blend of blues, folk and Americana.

JADE BIRD ON NOVEMBER UK TOUR

Critically acclaimed London duo Ferris & Sylvester have released the video for their new single ‘Burning River’.

Filmed during the pair’s recent time spent songwriting in Iceland, the stunning video captures the country’s vast breath-taking landscapes.

Regarding the video Ferris & Sylvester say, “A couple of months after we first met, we booked a trip to Iceland. Armed with a second hand tent and a small rental car, we drove around the whole Island, camping wherever we landed in the 24-hour summer light. The trip hugely inspired us to become who we are as writers.

"For this video, we wanted to capture how Iceland had empowered our music; we invited photographer and film-maker Daniel Harris to join us in Iceland for a retrace of our previous footsteps. With some Super 8 film and a drone, we raced around the central Landmannalaugar Park and Western Peninsula, documenting our journey. Dan did an incredible job of capturing what Iceland means to us and we are so proud to have this out in the world.”

‘Burning River’ is the first taste of a brand new project from Ferris & Sylvester. The single has had great early support from the likes of The Independent, BBC Introducing and Spotify, with the latter including the track in a number of high profile playlists including New Music Friday.

The beautiful animated video captures the boundless power of love addressed in the charming ballad. It was brought to life by creative director Neil Pymer (Aardman Studios) and Shiny Eye Studios.

There is really no end to his creativity and we were thrilled when he became so passionate about the song and its meaning. We’ve been working on ‘Sometimes’ with him and Shiny Eye throughout this year, and the end result is more than we could ever have hoped for.”

Ferris & Sylvester release new song 'London's Blues' and video ‘Better In Yellow’

NEW SONG OUT NOW
LISTEN ON SPOTIFY & SOUNDCLOUD

MADE IN STREATHAM
NEW EP RELEASED FEBRUARY 2nd

AMAZON UK - iTUNES

HEADLINE LONDON SHOW
BATTERSEA ARTS CENTRE – JAN 11th

Ferris & Sylvester have released a brand new song ‘London’s Blues’, the new track is taken from their five track forthcoming EP MADE IN STREATHAMout February 2nd.

Release Date: 2 Feb. 2018
Label: Archtop Records
Total Length: 15:29
Genres: Pop

‘London’s Blues’ launched with strong support from Spotify featured it prominently in their ‘New Music Friday’ playlist and Napster in the 'New & Good' playlist.

‘London’s Blues’ opens with finger clicks and vocal rounds before breaking into a sound that’s pulled straight from the Deep South with slide guitar and walking basslines.

Regarding the song Ferris & Sylvester say, “This is one of our favourite songs to play live, so it felt only right to include this in our Made In Streatham project. Despite the humming, the clicking and the jolly feel to it, this song is all about those days when you think everyone around you is selfish and out to get you... we love a bit of irony. We wanted the song to sound like an old blues song, with the trumpet and the guitar, but to be really relevant to life in London todayWhen you move somewhere new for the first time - like London - it’s hard not to observe people and how different their behaviour is from yours or what you’re used to.”

‘London’s Blues’ follows the release of the uplifting single ‘Better In Yellow’ and ‘The Room’, which is a beautiful piece of autobiographical Americana, detailing the pair’s life in Streatham, London. All of the songs are available now to download with pre-orders of the EP.

Elsewhere on the Made In Streatham EP is the stunningly frank love song ‘Sometimes’, while Ferris & Sylvester are found enlisting a superbly expansive string section on ‘Loser’ as they address cheating partners.

The Made In Streatham EP follows the release of the band’s 4 track debut EP THE YELLOW LINE (Released 23 June 2017; Label: Big Life Music Ltd; Amazon UK - UK iTunes - Amazon.com).

It saw the pair topping Rolling Stone Magazine’s 10 New Artists You Need To Know list, while also receiving praise from The Independent and gaining great support from BBC Radio 2 and BBC Introducing. The early high profile acclaim surrounding Ferris & Sylvester proves they are one of the most impressive and exciting new singer/songwriter talents on the UK scene.

Ferris & Sylvester announced a London headline show in support of the forthcoming EP. They played at Battersea Arts Centre on January 11th

VIDEO REVEALED

Ferris & Sylvester also released the video for their new single ‘Better In Yellow’. The new song is the latest to be taken from their forthcoming EP Made In Streatham, out February 2nd.

The duo channel the feel-good 80s in the ‘Better In Yellow’ video. It is filmed in nostalgic 4:3 and features beautiful pastel colours.

Regarding the video Ferris & Sylvester said, “The video is a dreamy, retro portrayal of the colourful sentiment in the song. We wanted the video to be striking and simple, using bold and clashy colours to get that old TV set vibe. We had so much fun making it. We spent a day throwing paint, punching cakes and chucking glitter around. A massive thank you to everyone involved with the project, especially to the director, Sam Rookes who brought our crazy ideas to life.”

‘Better In Yellow’ is an uplifting slice of bluesy Americana, which finds the pair adding big brass notes into their mix of guitar licks and beautiful harmonies. The song finished 2017 on BBC Introducing’s ‘Best of 2017’ list and has clocked up well over 200,000 plays on Spotify.

Continuing on the song’s meaning the band say, “We liked the idea of writing about yellow being a positive state of mind, happy and vibrant, instead of settling for greyness. It can be easy to wear black and blend in. Sometimes though, it’s best to be yourself, put on some bright colours and not care too much.”

‘Better In Yellow’ follows the release of Made In Streatham lead single ‘The Room’ which is a beautiful piece of autobiographical Americana, detailing the pair’s life in Streatham, London.
