Thomas Rhett details CENTER POINT ROAD - Out May 31

THOMAS RHETT REVEALS DETAILS OF THE PATH TO
CENTER POINT ROAD -
OUT MAY 31

The 16 Song Collection Co-Written Entirely by Thomas Rhett Features Collaborations with Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini and Jon Pardi

Exclusive Fan Album Packages Available Now While Digital Pre-Order Includes Three Tracks Instantly Beginning Tomorrow

NASHVILLE, TN - March 28, 2019 – With 12 best-selling No. Ones, an armload of awards, a growing reputation for electrifying headline tours and a distinction as country radio’s most played artist of 2018, Thomas Rhett is unveiling details today of his hotly-anticipated upcoming fourth studio album CENTER POINT ROAD (The Valory Music Co.) ahead of its May 31 release. Named after the street in his Tennessee hometown that shaped and influenced much of his life experiences, the eagerly-awaited project is a return to his roots, marking the most autobiographical collection of Thomas Rhett's meteoric career. It is revealed through a series of deeply-personal twists and turns – but, this project isn’t about pining for glory days. It’s about knowing where you came from and who you really are, regardless of how much has changed. It’s about pushing forward, chasing crazy dreams, raising a family and staying true to yourself in the process. Fans can now pre-order limited edition album packages at ThomasRhett.com and those who pre-ordered the album digitally will receive a brand new track tomorrow in addition to previously available tracks “Look What God Gave Her” and “Don’t Threaten Me With A Good Time” feat Little Big Town.
"For me, Center Point Road really symbolizes what it was like to grow up in Hendersonville,” explained Thomas Rhett. "First dates, first football games, first heartbreak, first kisses, success and failures. I really feel like that road shaped who I am today, and it felt fitting because the record, for the most part, is pretty nostalgic. Songs like 'Almost,' 'That Old Truck' and especially 'Center Point Road,' really describe who I was as a kid and teenager, and who I’ve become as an adult."

CENTER POINT ROAD mines Thomas Rhett's upbringing for inspiration, reaching new heights of exposing truth-life through songwriting with the star co-writing all 16 tracks on the album for the first time. In addition to the “buoyant” (Rolling Stone) lead single “Look What God Gave Her,” first introduced on Saturday Night Live, the album embraces bold unpredictability which is becoming Thomas Rhett’s signature: hot-blooded R&B meets brassy, shag-carpeted funk, danceable disco and breezy beachside soul, joining classic balladry, new school honky-tonk and above all, twangy authenticity.

"On this one, I just got back to why I wanted to make music in the first place – and that was writing great songs. This is one of those records that every time I listen back to it, it still feels new,” Thomas Rhett shared.

Thomas Rhett once again stepped into a production role, along with long-time companions Dann Huff, Jesse Frasure and Julian Bunetta. Like anyone tracing the contours of their most impactful moments, themes of friendship and fun are everywhere, with Thomas Rhett inviting some of his country music pals to guest, noting it only made sense to include your friends on a record inspired by friendship. Delivering universal tales of growing up layered with authenticity, Thomas Rhett revels in taking a look back with CENTER POINT ROAD, and reflects on the path paved to a red-hot career. Take a ride with Thomas Rhett to Center Point Road below.

Thomas Rhett was named country radio’s most played artist of 2018, following a CMA Triple Play award for penning three No. One songs within a 12-month period (“Die A Happy Man,” “Star of the Show” and Michael Ray’s “Think A Little Less”), adding to his collection of trophies from the Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music, Billboard Music Awards, CMT Music Awards and more. With twelve US No.1s to his name and a reputation as one of Country’s most boldly unpredictable stars, multi-platinum selling performer Thomas Rhett returns today with the kinetic romance of his brand new single, ‘Look What God Gave Her’, out now.

Thomas is set to debut ‘Look What God Gave Her’ and more new music from his hotly-anticipated fourth studio album Centerpoint Road this weekend on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, making him the first Country artist of the show’s current season.

Leading into the performance, fans can pre-order the album today, which will be released on May 31st via Big Machinerecords.

I think I played this song 2,000 times in a month after we first wrote it”, he explains. “It makes me want to dance. It makes me want to move. And to me, the song really is a celebration of how awesome my wife is. She’s so beautiful, but at the same time she’s inwardly beautiful, she’s funny, she’s kind, she’s the best mom I know … and she’s hilarious. I know I’ve done that in the past, but I’ve never really done it in an uptempo way.”

Serving as the first taste of what’s to come, Thomas Rhett describes the irresistibly uptempo jam as “the perfect song to take fans into summer” – and also the perfect track to introduce his next project. Featuring a daring electro-Country sound, stunning harmony stacks and a smooth-talking vocal hook, Thomas Rhett co-wrote the infectious standout alongside his hit-making father, Rhett Akins as well as Julian Bunetta, John Ryan and J Cash.

“I was really glad we were able to nail this one,” Thomas Rhett added. “My wife is so beautiful, but at the same time she’s inwardly beautiful, she’s funny, she’s kind, she’s the best mom I know … and she’s hilarious. It’s really just about thanking God for the human being He made, and singing it in a fun way.”

Thomas Rhett co-produced “Look What God Gave Her” with Bunetta and Dann Huff, both of whom are longtime collaborators with producer credits on his previous two albums – PLATINUM-certified LIFE CHANGES and TANGLED UP.

More details about Thomas Rhett’s fourth studio album, named after the street in his Tennessee hometown that shaped and influenced much of his life experiences, will be revealed soon, with Country radio’s most-played artist of 2018 hinting that it will find him “getting back to his roots.”
The new music comes as Thomas wraps up his hugely successful Life Changes Tour, which saw him headline London’s Eventim Apollo in November. He plays a coast-to-coast series of shows in Canada this Spring, before kicking off his headlining Very Hot Summer Tour, visiting 40 stops across the US with Dustin Lynch, Russell Dickerson and Rhett Akins opening select dates.

HMV East Kilbride - #NewMusicFriday! The fantastic The Shires have a brilliant new album out today

THE SHIRES HMV IN STORE SIGNINGS

Building Our Own Nashville - The future is incredibly bright for The Shires and they will not only dominate the UK country scene but will overflow into the mainstream too, especially if they continue down this route.
AOP holds all the best qualities of The Shires best sounds blended with the strongest of US Country pop delivering an overall fantastic album that will appeal to a wide variety of music lovers.

Celebmix  RATING: 5/5: The album kicks off with ‘The Hard Way’ which starts with Ben Earle’s stunning solo vocal before Crissie Rhodes arrives to showcase her sublime vocals. They then come together to create a supreme harmony that creates a beautiful sound. It’s a really gorgeous ballad that leads to a hand-clapping, sing-a-long chorus with a message of “what could have been”…….......The penultimate song on the LP is ‘World Without You’ which is sensational track that starts out as stripped back ballad about not wanting to be without that someone special. ….‘Accidentally On Purpose’ comes to close with ‘Loving You Too Long’ which is another piano heavy track that is so sonically simple yet so genius in its simplicity.  It’s a beautiful song to end the record on as it brings together all the sounds and styles of the whole LP on one track to create a breathtaking ballad.

COUNTRY?
Ben Earle: "It was a big step on for us it is definitely more towards the POP side but I think what retains the countryness for us is the way we wrote the songs. We sat down in a room and wrote them generally on a guitar and a piano and as long as you have the great building block of the song, the foundation, the most important thing in some respects then you can take it wherever you want sound wise and that's what we kinda did to have a bigger poppier sounding record this time around"
