ACCLAIMED ALBUM
THINGS THAT WE DRINK TO
OUT NOW VIA WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE / PARLOPHONE RECORDS

International star Morgan Evans is sporting some new bling with the release of his latest single ‘Diamonds’, available everywhere now (LISTEN HERE).

Before kicking off an exciting season of globe-trotting for his headlining world tour, Evans used a live band for the first time to record the song which he co-wrote with Chris Destefano and Evan ‘Kidd’ Bogart at Nashville’s Southern Ground studios. He and Destefano, who also co-produced the track, then put finishing touches on the production 10,000 miles away in Evans’ native country of Australia.

“I wrote ‘Diamonds’ for my wife and I’m so stoked to release it as a single,” Evans shared. “It’s a fun love song, but deeper than that it celebrates that journey from lost to found you feel when you meet that person and everything changes forever.

“I handpicked my dream band for the session and I can hear each of their personalities in the record. It just sounds really fresh to me, I’m really proud of that and I can’t wait to start playing it live!”

JOINS JAMES BLUNT
ON HIS AUSTRALIAN TOUR

Following the release of his single ‘Kiss Somebody’ and new track ‘I Do’, Australian-born country star Morgan Evans will be returning to the UK next month to perform at this year’s Country 2 Country Festival in London and Glasgow.

“I visited the UK for the first time last year and just fell in love with the country and its music fans,” says Evans. “There’s a depth of passion for music there unlike anywhere else. C2C 2018 will be my third visit and I couldn’t be more stoked to return to London and Glasgow.”

Already a bona-fide music sensation in his native Australia, and highly acclaimed by the likes of Rolling Stone and Billboard in the US – both of whom have tipped him for success in 2018 – his new music is shaped by a love of artists like Ed Sheeran and Keith Urban, alongside many other Nashville greats where he now resides, having signed a global record deal with Warner Music Nashville / Warner Bros. Records.

Last year Evans released his debut US single
‘Kiss Somebody’, which he wrote with Chris DeStefano and Josh Osborne. The track has become a major radio hit in multiple countries and debuted on Spotify’s Viral Charts at #15 in the US and #26 globally, with over 19 million streams to date.

The visually impressive, one-of-a-kind accompanying video was released in December 2017 and features a nearly single-shot film in extreme slow-motion.

His newest track
I Do’, pays homage to loved ones and was inspired by his now wife and fellow country artist Kelsea Ballerini. As a result of these two tracks, Evans has made a huge splash in the US and in addition to Rolling Stone’s praise for his “velvety voice rasping in all the right places” he has been crowned as one of CMT’s #18for2018 artists.

The upcoming performances at C2C2018 mark his third time back on UK soil after playing a run of headline dates last June (including The Buckle & Boots Festival), before returning for his acclaimed visit here in October. He’s also set to join James Blunt for three landmark shows in Australia, before heading back to the US for shows in April with Chris Young and Kane Brown.

C2C 2018 artist Morgan Evans releases the video for 'Kiss Somebody'

LONDON, UK (15th Dec 2017) - Confirmed to return to the UK in 2018 for the Country to Country festival in London & Glasgow, rising country artist Morgan Evans has released the video for his hugely successful Warner Music Nashville debut single 'Kiss Somebody' - which has been streamed over 12m times and already received major airplay across the USA, Australia and the UK including BBC Radio 2 & Chris Country. Check out the video here:

The one-of-a-kind and visually fascinating music video for 'Kiss Somebody' premiered (Tues Dec 14, 2018) exclusively with CMT.
Filmed in nearly a single-shot and in extreme slow-motion, this innovative and avant-garde video breaks new ground within the genre for Evans’ “upbeat, addictively optimistic track” (The Boot).  The song also made an impressive appearance the day it was released on Spotify’s Global Viral 50 Chart and skyrocketed to #15 on its US Viral 50 chart, earning him early admiration from Rolling Stone, Billboard, MusicRow and more.

In addition to their support of the Jeff Venable-directed video, CMT has named Evans as one of their #18for2018 artists, with Pandora and Sounds Like Nashville also touting the singer/songwriter as a country artist to watch.

Fans will have plenty of chances to do just that as the Australian-native gets ready to join label-mate Cole Swindell for his “Down Home Tour” in January followed by an appearance at the UK's Country to Country (C2C) festival and a string of dates on Chris Young’s “Losing Sleep Tour.” With an engaging live show built around a loop pedal setup, “Evans can command a stage solo, with plenty of charm and a showman's flair that would make Urban proud” (Rolling Stone).

Co-written by Evans with Chris DeStefano (Carrie Underwood, Brett Eldredge, Rascal Flatts) and Josh Osborne (Sam Hunt, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban),'Kiss Somebody' is already making waves in Australia as the No. 1 song on their iTunes Top Country Songs chart and Apple A:List Country chart. After moving to Nashville in 2016, he immediately set to work and is currently in the studio making new music for his forthcoming Warner Bros. Records/Warner Music Nashville debut. 'Kiss Somebody' is available to all digital music platforms now: https://morganevans.lnk.to/KissSomebody
