This extends their involvement with the association’s live
events following their first official appearance at CMA Fest in Nashville
earlier this year, and follows a summer of shows which has seen them share
stages with Lauren Alaina, fellow British duo Ward
Thomas, and pop/rock acts including Clean Bandit, Razorlight & Will
Young.
Additionally, their new track ‘My Love’ will be released on
November 1st 2019, available to stream and download worldwide. Self-produced,
and co-written with Greg Bates - whose credits
include Chase Rice & William
Michael Morgan, as well as a country radio Top Five hit of his own -
the song builds on the sound of Holloway Road’s recent standalone singles ‘Lightning’ & ‘Get The Girl’ which total nearly half a million streams to date.
Holloway Road have announced their third EP BROKE (Amazon UK | UK iTunes), which
is due for release on Sept 14th 2018,
and shared the first single 'Hang Over Here' (Writers:
Jake Mitchell, John Davidson, Jacob Bryant, Austin Smith), available to stream
today and to download immediately for fans who pre-order the EP. The duo are
celebrating the announcement tomorrow (Sat Aug 25th) with their highest gig to
date at The Shard, the tallest building in London as part of their Summer
Sessions series; before wrapping up a busy festival season at The Long Road in
a few weeks, alongside artists like Carrie Underwood, The Shires and Charlie
Worsham.
Following the success of two self-produced EPs and a number of standalone
singles from a home studio in Southend-on-Sea, this new material is the first
time they've released music created through collaborations with other writers
and producers between Nashville and the UK, notably including co-writes from
Phil Barton, Levi Hummon and more. Forthcoming live dates:

Describing Broke in
their own words, Jack & Rob said: "We took our time with this
EP. It shows how much we have matured as writers and artists, and it was also
special being able to spend time in both the UK and the USA to work with other
writers that we admire and call friends to put together another record that we
could be proud of.
Being able to take our time has given us a chance to let some amazing songs
from outside the Holloway Road camp come to us that we really connected with.
We would never have cut a song we didn't write unless we really connected with
it so it was important to be patient. As much as this record has tastes of
serious tones, it's mainly fun from start to finish, so we hope the fans have
as much of a blast listening to it as we did making it!"
ABOUT HOLLOWAY ROAD:
Holloway Road - Jack Cooper & Rob Gulston - are a country-pop duo from

On Monday October 17, 2016 the C2C Country To Country Festival organizers we're delighted to announce via
Facebook that the official C2C 2017 launch party would be taking place on Monday 24th October at The
Brooklyn Bowl!
Be the first to find out who will be performing

Join us for this very special C2C Fan event –
live performances, good times and great country music. See you on the dance

Then 3 DAYS later they announced the artists who be
appearing for the C2C Launch Party.
Unlike previous years when Little Big Town (Oct 2015) and Lady
Antebellum (2014) played live at the “line-up reveal” event this year marks
an all BRITISH affair with Jeannine Barry,Honey Ryder & Holloway
Road joining C2C Country To Country at Brooklyn Bowl London on Monday 24th!
This was met with indifferent comments from C2C fans when
the launch act had typically been one of the headline C2C acts in the past, so some
felt this was a let down. It is rumoured that a US act had pulled out but quite
what were C2C fans expecting for a £12.50 event?
Other fans embracing the event were looking forward to an
all British night describing the £12.50 ticket price as a bargain: "Honey Ryder are great & Holloway Road
are worth the ticket price alone".
Having seen all three acts on the C2C 2016Pop Up Stages
we look back on the performances by Holloway Road, Honey Ryder on Saturday 12th
March 2016.
HOLLOWAY ROAD
For fans of: Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt,
Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Chase Rice
C2C 2016 Town Square Setlist (10:30-11:05):
Not My First, Heart Is Blue, Roots, Little Harder, We Said
So, I Won't Fall, Sky Is Falling Down
Holloway Road are mid-twenty
year olds Jack Cooper and Robert Gulston, who hail
from sunny Southend-On-Sea whose aim is creating 'free big in your face'
country pop music. Their influences include Florida Georgia Line, Kacey
Musgraves, The Eagles, Mumford and Sons, and drinkin' a beer!
Along with their debut,
self-titled EP entering the Top 10 UK iTunes Country album charts, the duo have
spent time in Nashville were invited to play the Martin Guitar stage at the CMA
Festival and they’ve toured with #1 hit writers John & Jacob.
Having queued for half an hour for a £10 Festival wrist
band giving access to ALL the Pop up stages at the Festival it was time to
quickly head for the Town Square Square
where Holloway Road had already
kicked things off at 10:30 for a 30-35 minute set.
A year previously I saw
Holloway Road for the first time on The Big Entrance Stage (12:10-12:40) and at the time they had 836 Facebook followers. A year on they had grown their fanbase
(currently 2,200 Facebook Likes) and performed as a 6-piece band.
As one of the first acts to
perform people were still arriving so their audience was gradually gathering.
It was very cold start in the O2 (days later went down with bad Millennium bug
sickness) but Holloway Road certainly rocked it out and warmed up the early
keen country fan attendees.
They used the C2C platform to showcase several songs from
what was to become their EP ROOTS
released April 18, 2016. Starting out with “Little Harder” this was a
song I had just got into and was looking forward to which was released just
days before. It’s perhaps their best track to date with some its cool banjo
licks and chord's that draw similarities to Keith Urban’s “Somebody Like You”.
Title cut “Roots” with its driving back beat
and banjo flavouring has a soaring chorus which encourages some sing-a-long
moments.
The fast paced “I Won’t Fall” (a countrified Jason
Mraz cover) with its fiddle and electric riffs was a crowd pleaser.
Stomper “We Said So” is an
electronic-inspired country party number and was previously released back on
19th Oct 2015 as a country/electro/pop (Amazon UK-UK iTunes-Amazon.com ) It
briefly made it to#17on UK Country iTunes Chart.
Their video replicates Florida Georgia Line's "This Is How We Roll"ft. Luke Bryanwith scramble dirt bikes and ya'll.
Post C2C2016 Holloway road toured and opened for Dexeter on their UK Tour.
They played the Buckle & Boots festival in Stockport on
Friday 24th June 2016. The single 'Good Thing Gone Bad', included a
new version & video and was slated to drop in July.
On Friday night 17th June 2016 the crowd at the Nashville Nights club event in London were
told a 'secret act' would be performing during the evening, and after a few
hours of DJ Baylen Leonard playing a great mix of classics and chart hits,
Holloway Road took to the stage at 11:30pm for their second gig of the night,
having just driven across town from a support slot for Jess & The Bandits. With a stripped-back five piece setup led
by acoustic guitar, the band opened with 'Truck' and played a half-hour set
including songs from both their EPs and a cover of 'Ring of Fire'. The audience
response was fantastic, with fans taking to Twitter & Instagram to post
pictures and videos of the impromptu performance. As the lively set drew to a
close, the rest of the band walked off leaving just Jack & Rob onstage, who
went on to announce that the song they were finishing the set with what would
also be their 'Good Thing Gone Bad'.
On Sat Sept 17, 2016 Holloway Road they brought their 'A'
game DJ'ing at Nashville Nights (DJ
Set) at The Cluny in Newcastle. They again took their DJ set to Bristol (The
Tunnels Bristol, Arches 31 & 32) on October 14th for another Nashville
Nights event
UK Internet Radio StationUKCountryRadio.comcelebrated their 9th Birthday Party

First Set: What If We've Only Got Tonight, You Can't Say
That, Beautiful Horizon
Second set: Mirage, Marleys Chains, Damn It I'm In Love
Again
Members: Lindsay O'Mahony, Jason Huxley, Matt Bishop
Style of music varies from Rock, Folk, Pop, Indie and Country.
Formed in 2006, they took their name fromUrsula Andress'character (See Bond BombshellImage|Image) in the Bond film 'Dr No'. Both Bond fans, they liked the name
and the Britishness of it.
Theyhave had a more than impressive 2016 thus far. Kickstarting
the year with “What If We’ve Only Got
Tonight”, the lead single from their third albumBORN IN A BOTTLE, being
playlisted on BBC Radio 2 and A-listed on the Bauer Network. Heightening their
enjoyment of the first quarter, Born In A Bottle was rewarded with several five
star reviews (Country Music People) and every date they have played this year
has seen audiences arrive in their droves.
BORN IN A BOTTLEwas crowd-funded by fans using thePledge Musicplatform (211 pledgers reached 122% of the goal). It was
officially released oniTuneson Dec 25, 2015 and became
available on CD onAmazon UK(Jan 29, 2016). It was nominated for Album of the Year at the
2015 the British Country Music Awards beaten out by The Shires GOLD certified
BRAVE.
Previously as a Folk/ Rock act their sophomore
album MARLEY'S CHAINS, spawned
several Radio 2 playlist hits as well as being Album Of The Week
across the Smooth Radio Network and Music Week, and TV appearances and
performances on BBC Breakfast, ITV's This Morning, and C5 Live with
Myleene Klass.
After seeing Holloway Road it was time to do a quick-fire
reconnaissance of the O2 to try and find out where all the 7 Pop up stages were
situated. The NY-LON stage (Unit 4.03
Entertainment Avenue, The O2, North Greenwich, London SE10 0DX)
was a tricky one to find but I’m glad I did!
Honey Ryder were the first on 13 acts
during the day to play in The Turbine Lounge which has just a 300
capacity. This was a beautiful room with great sound and perfect for the C2C
Sessions. Each of the sessions were filmed by a professional TV crew, including
short interviews, so the audience was hushed. I’m not sure where all the
footage ended up, very little has appeared on YouTube.
The function of NY-LON
is to offer a truly unique combination of
a relaxing, uplifting environment and first class service. It’s a
combination made possible by the partnership between Virgin Atlantic and Delta
Air Lines. It’s inspired by the transatlantic connection of two great world
cities, New York and London.
Its aim is to cater for Pre-show or After Party events,
work meetings, corporate hosting, big parties offering the perfect blend of relaxed atmosphere and welcoming service all in a
first-class venue. The
Lounge
is indeed the perfect
setting for a relaxed evening after a busy day. Book their secret room online www.ny-lon | www.ny-lon.london
It was really lovely to see
Honey Ryder’s acoustic set in this quieter and comforting setting.
They opened with their catchy BBC Radio 2 playlist single What
If We've Only Got Tonight, taken from album BORN IN A BOTTLE (released Dec 25, 2015: UK iTunes)
then their 2012 beautifully melodic single You Can't Say That followed with its
ethereal qualities, the lead off track from their Pop/ Rock album MARLEY'S CHAINS (released 12 August
2012: Amazon UK | UK iTunes)
and the jangly Folk/Pop number Beautiful Horizon from the same
album brought forth smiles.
After a short intermission they played the softly Mirage
their signature tune Marleys Chains a favourite at
Festivals and rounded out with questioning Fleetwood Mac-esque Damn It
I'm In Love Again
The next day they were back to play the Town Square Stage.
Their set included You Can't Say That, In a Heartbeat, Drink With Me, Marley's
Chains, Damn It I'm In Love Again, What If We've Only Got Tonight and Beautiful
Horizon.
Honey Ryder are an excellent Festival Band and during 2016 they played
The Buckle and Boots Festival (FriJune24, 2016) the Beer And Bluegrass
Festival 2016 (Branksome, Poole)
After catching Honey Ryder it was time to catch some of Megan O’Neill’s set on the Town Square
before racing off to see Glasgow duo Ashton
Lane (11:30-12:05) and a superb set from US artist Phil Vassar in The Brooklyn Bowl (12:15-12:50). By this time I felt
like I had already had my £10 Pop Stage festival money’s worth! With so many
overlapping performances across the O2 complex it was impossible to be in 5
places at once. It was unachievable to get back into the NY-LON room for Maren Morris as the nearby queues for the Ladies toilets. Caught the
end of Sarah Darling’s Big Entrance
Stage set (12:30-13:00), then 3 numbers by Luke
& Mel (Town Square) before seeing one of the highlights of the day US
singer-songwriter Ashley Campbell (Big
Entrance Stage; 13:50-14:20). US/UK Trio Red
Sky July (Brooklyn Bowl; 14:30-15:05) delighted as was CMA award winning US
songwriter Lori McKenna (Big
Entrance Stage; 15:10-15:20).
JEANNINE BARRY
The Brooklyn Bowl Stage Set list (16:00-16:35):
Off The Hook, Lonely Road, Carousel, Undeniable, Burning Bridges,
Long Hot Summer
Playing taste-makers for the day my pick was Jeannine Barry for the 16:00 slot. I’d
met this photogenic young lady in The Saloon Bar at C2C2015, where as an
audience member, she was there to lend support to Katie Armiger on Bob Harris’ stage. Turning
round her beautiful face is not something you’re going to forget in a hurry
after seeing the stunning portrait cover shot of Jeannine's 2015 debut single “All
Night”. I’d seen her videos playing acoustic numbers with an accompanying
guitar which were pleasant.

By the end of her Brooklyn Bowl set I was completely won
over. As well as possessing a beautiful spoken voice with perfect diction,
Jeannine’s vocal range was impressive and her stage presence was superb!
It was an absolute joy to see her set which was immensely enjoyable.
Jeannine looking stunning and she lit up the stage wearing a Naanaa High Neck Lace Dress with Open
Back (Product 848008; Exclusive to ASOS ; now
just £12 >> Product Video)
This sleeved semi-sheer lace dress has a nude underlay with
a high neckline, Lace-up panels and peekaboo cut-outs. Its close cut bodycon
fit was perfect for Jeannine’s model-esque figure.
Jeannine’s band were equally as hot with an exciting and
tight sound. Gab Zsapka (electric
guitar), Adam Pickard on acoustic
guitar (her two main band members), Essi Kiskii (violin), Cem (drums), Ace (bass)
and Gonzalo (keyboard)
Most of her 6-song set were taken from 6 tracker EP OFF THE HOOK from July 2015 iTunes
She kicked off with the exciting, tension-filled and gritty
title
cut, the face paced “Lonely Road” had the hoards blowing
smoke, the rocky “Carousel” with its driving beat had the crowd dancing in circles,
“Undeniable”
simply oozed love vibes from the stage and perhaps the standout was the catchy “Long Hot
Summer” as Jeannine and her fabulous band burnt up the stage.
Everywhere you looked there were a sea of smiling faces and people dancing
having a great time.
She slowed things down with heartbreak number "Burning
Bridges" co-written with the person after their painful break up. Showcasing
this brand new song, yet to be released, it relates to forgiveness and was sung
from the heart.

The C Factor: To use a Louis
Walsh X Factor expression Jeannine has “Got
it All”. One of the prettiest ladies on Brit Country circuit she can handle
ballads with care and strike out with up-tempos and most importantly connect
with an audience in full band guise.
The following day she played The Brookyln Bowl for a second
time and an acoustic set on in the NY-LON room.

was a big influence because I was addicted to her beautiful voice and amazing
talent. I love emotional songs and she had loooots of them :) It's not the
style of music I do but back then I didn't know which direction I would be
going in. Christina Aguilera was a big influence for me also as well as P!nk
and Eminem. I love the story and honesty in their songs and they have inspired
me much to be myself. I don't care so much about the genre of music as long as
it moves me and inspires me.
What was it that made you want to become
a singer-songwriter and play live before an audience?
I always wanted
to do it I don't know why. Perform live and move people with my voice and
songs. The joy of singing live is just a thrill. It was an urge and even though
I was really afraid my wish do to this was bigger so I overcame my fear and
auditioned for David Lee Brewer. That's basically when I really started
out.
You have worked with a renowned vocal
coach David Lee Brewer, was it he that guided you towards the country music
genre?
Yes. He heard
me when I auditioned and he knew it then and there. It took me a while to
accept it because it wasn't so popular in England and Germany but once I had
some time to myself I realised that this was right for me. It's who I am and I
decided to embrace and ever since it has changed me and my life. I am much more
confident and happy and life makes more sense.
Had you previously been a country/pop
fan?
Yes, but I
didn't really know it. I used to love LeAnn Rimes when I was younger but I
wasn't aware that she is a country singer. The few songs that made it over here
I loved but I was never aware that those were country songs. I didn’t' grow up
to country music so it still is a world for me to discover but I like that
because it gives me a fresh view on things and especially my music. I believe I
don't try to "copy" anything and I let it just happen naturally which
gives my music a unique touch. I am curious to see where this route will lead
me though and my next songs will have even more of a country sound to them.
Who's your biggest critic, yourself or
others?
Myself! But I
try not to be so hard on myself :)
I hear an influence of Katrina Elam and
Katie Armiger in your voice are they American artistes your aware of?
I have not
heard of these artists before but I listened to their music and I love it!
How would you describe your sound?
I would
describe it as a fresh and modern country/pop sound with a unique touch.
What’s your favourite thing - Being in
the studio, song-writing or being on stage?
Being on stage
but I love being in the studio also. Both are very different and I love doing
both. Creating and then presenting they are only enjoyable with the other for
me if that makes sense. It is great to do a show and seeing how you touch
people with your performance and the joy of singing your own song and being
able to give it so much meaning that's just great.
Do you play an instrument well enough to
perform live?
No. I am
learning the guitar but am not good enough to play live.
LIVE GIGS
Jeannine off to vocal lessons (2012)
Have you played gigs outside of London?
Yes, I played
in Berlin. I sang in the Berlin Philharmonic an Orchestra as you can see in my
bio and I performed regularly in a Club where the master
classes took place. I also played events, festivals and private occasions such
as Birthday parties in Germany and Austria.
What types of shows / venues do you like
to play?
I play all
kinds of shows and venues. I just want to get out there and be heard to I jump
at every opportunity I get.
Jeannine Barry Live At The Constitution-Camden- (May 2012)
What can fans expect to see when they
come to see you live, describe a Jeannine Barry gig?
They can expect
an honest performance with emotional songs and good energy.
You have a BBC Introducing logo on your
Homepage, which Radio station have you been played on and if you were live in a
studio what was that experience like?
I have not been
played on BBC radio yet I have only submitted my songs.
Do you think the younger country/pop
artistes like Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood help to open media doors for
someone like you?
Yes, I believe
so. I think popular Country music will get bigger and more commercial over time
and these two artists definitely have made a difference already.
The way the current marketing model is,
it seems it's important that songs have crossover appeal and thus gain bigger
audiences. Is this something you've taken into account with song choice?
Yes, but for
now I am just working on finding my own unique style because I think it's most
important to be real and stay true to yourself if you want to successful.
SONGWRITING
When did you first start writing songs?
About 4 years
ago. I started writing songs to existing beats. Then when I met my current
producer Denis Gadjetic I came up with the melody etc. as well.
What’s your approach to song writing
like — melody first?
It varies but
most of the time it's melody first yes and an idea for what I want the song to
be about.
Do you prefer to write alone or
co-write?
I prefer to
write alone but I haven't worked with many songwriters really so would love to
work with someone who is very experienced and "gets" me.
Your YouTube track from 2011 "Unto
My Maker" has quite spiritual overtones. Is there a special place where
you seek solitude and draw on to write a song like this?
Unto my maker
was written by a music friend of mine who wanted me to cover the song. I love
that song because it moves me deeply and even though I am not religious I am
very spiritual.

EP/Mini Album
Where was you EP/Mini Album recorded and
who are the musicians who play on it?
It was recorded
in Gadget Studios, Farringdon. Producer Denis Gadjetic also played all the
instruments.
Will your new EP be a digital only
release or will there also be a Digi-pac package with photos and lyrics so you
have product at gigs?
I will release
it on iTunes and other sites such as Spotify etc. and will also produce a
Digi-pac in the near future yes. I think it would be great to have some CD's
and promo material at a gig.
Taylor Swift has made her new album RED
available on Vinyl and seems to be something on a trend, have you any such
plans?
No, I don't
have such plans but I have thought about it and might be something to look into
in the future.
Will the EP/Mini Album have different styles?
Mix of up-tempo and ballads? Which do you prefer?
Yes, it has a
few up-tempo songs but more ballads. I am a ballad type of girl I think. I just
love them and they come to me more than up beat songs.
Will all the songs be original ones or
have you cut a cover?
Yes Unto my maker is a cover the rest are
originals.
What song on your EP/Mini Album are you
particularly proud of and why?
I have none in
particular but I like What I long for because it is so honest and reflects hard
times that I went through.
What do you hope to achieve with the EP,
will there be a full album down the road?
Yes, I am
planning on finishing a full album for next year.
What goals do you hope to achieve in
2013?
In 2013 I want
to build a real fanbase and get heard in the US. Fly over to Nashville and
promote there. David Brewer is looking into songwriters and producers for me
over there. I will also finish an Album and release it.
MUSIC
If you had the chance to change
something about the music industry, what would it be?
I would try and
even out the money side a bit more so emerging artists get a chance to actually
make a living as artists with live performances. Take % of the live money that
big artists get and put it in a pot to support young fresh artists.
What music are you currently listening
to, what's on your iPod, do you prefer listening through a Hi-FI?
I love both.
When I'm on the go I listen on my iPod and when I'm at home I listen to loud
music singing to it.
If you had to choose an album as your
Desert Island disc what would it be?
Oh that's a
hard one. I love the latest Adele album. Lots of dramatic sad songs :)
QUICK-FIRE Questions
If invited onto CMT Crossroads (which
pairs country artists with someone from another genre) who would you pick?
Who would be a dream male duet partner? Eminem

What do you do for fun?

family. I have 2 brothers and 1 sister. We are all very close. Family is very
