ACM and CMA Award winning country music star Sara Evans headlined the 4th annual CMT Next Women of Country tour last night, kicking off the series with a sold-out show at New York City’s B.B. King’s Blues Club! In addition to electrifying sets from Sara and special guests RaeLynn and Kalie Shorr, the packed house was treated to a special encore with the three artists performing a special rendition of the 80s anthem “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.”

The 15-city “CMT Next Women of Country presents Sara Evans All The Love Tour featuring RaeLynn and Kalie Shorr” headed to Concord, NH for a special Valentine’s Day show before dates in Albany, Verona and Medford to round out the first weekend.

Adding to the great week, Evans is set to appear on the syndicated daytime talk show "Pickler & Ben," hosted by country singer Kellie Pickler and Emmy-winning television personality Ben Aaron.  The episode will premiere on February 15 and re-air on CMT.  Check PicklerandBen.com for tune in information.

 Days after Country Music star and entrepreneur SARA EVANS announced the launch of her own record label – Born To Fly Records – the multi-platinum entertainer has revealed additional details about her highly-anticipated forthcoming album. The ACM Female Vocalist of the Year divulged today that her brand new album Words will release on July 21.

Fourteen separate female songwriters, including powerhouses Ashley Monroe, Caitlyn Smith, Hillary Lindsey, Hillary Scott, Liz Hengber, Sonya Isaacs and of course Sara herself, contribute their words to the stunning, upcoming record. 
  
“When I’m listening to a song, it’s the lyrics and the stories they tell that matter most to me,” said Sara. “Not only is ‘Words’ the title to one of the songs on my album but in listening to new music for the record, I was always looking for lyrics that moved me and expressed a powerful range of emotions. Women are natural storytellers and I’m proud to have so many amazing female songwriters represented on this record.” 
  
Words marks a creative reunion for Evans, pairing her with frequent co-producer Mark Bright (2005’s Real Fine Place, 2014’s Slow Me Down) while Tracy Gershon provides A&R direction. Her daughter Olivia (14) even contributes background vocals to the record.

Billboard reports: This month marks 20 years since the release of her first single, 1997's "True Lies." Evans garnered 14 top 20 singles during her tenure at RCA, with five rising to No. 1, including 1998's "No Place That Far," featuring Vince Gill; 2005's "A Real Fine Place to Start"; and 2011's two-week chart-topper "A Little Bit Stronger."

Evans has left the door open to work with other acts through Born to Fly. She mentions daughter Olivia Schelske, who provided background vocals on the new album, as a budding artist who could benefit.
