ABOUT
Lauren Corzine is a Texas born and raised country/americana recording artist from McAllen, Texas. Since picking up a guitar at the tender age of 11, she certainly has come a long way. Quickly after learning a few songs on guitar, Lauren began performing at open mic nights and sitting in with local country bands around her hometown.
She caught the attention of songwriters/producers Roger Cook and Galen Crew in 2015 and the three of them began working on her first EP.

In 2016, Lauren released her very first EP entitled "LOST & FOUND" (iTunes). "Lost & Found" consisted of six heartfelt original songs. How could you define Lauren's music? She says "My EP, Lost & Found, was written at a time in my life that was full of young love, getting lost and then finding myself again. I can best describe it as pop melodies with a country feel and folk-like lyrics." Once you hear the record, you might find it hard to not sing along.

She has an undying love for performing and writing music. "I've only ever wanted to perform" explains Lauren, "I'm most at home when I'm on a stage. My ultimate goal is to tell you my stories through song and keep you entertained from start to finish.

Music is the first thing I think about when I wake up and the last thing I think about when I go to sleep. I've decided to commit myself to making music for the rest of my life and I hope I can capture your attention."

In 2017, Lauren released her first song, "If This is Love", to Texas Radio. The song managed to make it into the top 50 on the TRRR chart last fall.
The Rio Grande Valley Girl took the next step on the TxRD music scene when she delivered her rockin' toe tappin' single, "Ain't That Lonely" (released single on March 26, 2019  iTunes) which was Lauren's anthem for putting music first. It debuted on the Top 100 and moved up rapidly!

When asked why she wrote “Ain’t That Lonely” Lauren stated: “I’ve spent the past two years being single because my focus has been music and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve learned that loneliness is a state of mind, not a state of being. I wrote this song as a way to say “HEY! Being single doesn’t have to be lonely.” Working on yourself and putting yourself first doesn’t mean you’re destined to be alone. Sometimes you have to write your own anthems. I’ve decided for now to focus on making music, playing live, and connecting with people that take the time to listen to my songs. I ain’t that lonely!”

Lauren has been given the opportunity to open for Midland, Kevin Fowler, Sunny Sweeney, Josh Turner, Kyle Park, Michael Ray, Pat Green, The Spazmatics and is always adding more to the list!

Scotty McCreery celebrates sold-out European Tour

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – German and English audiences fell in love with the ACM, BMI, CMT and NSAI Award-winning Scotty McCreery this past week as the Triple Tigers/Sony recording artist performed in both countries for the first time, selling-out all five shows on his first-ever European tour with Six Shooter Country calling McCreery’s London show “music heaven.” The dates coincided with Country Music Week in both countries.
Sherlock Homies: John Marks (Head of Global Programming for Country Music, Spotify), Scotty McCreery, Scott Stem (McCreery's Manager, Triple 8 Management), Andrew Percy (Member of the U.K. Parliament) and George Couri (Partner, Triple 8 Management and Partner, Triple Tigers Records) backstage at McCreery's sold-out first show in London at Bush Hall on Saturday, Oct. 26.

“This was an incredible week,” said an exuberant McCreery. “The audiences have been amazing. They knew the words to every song – not just the hits, but all the album tracks. As a songwriter, hearing an audience in another country across the ocean sing ‘Five More Minutes’ back to me is such an emotional experience. I can’t wait to come back to England and Germany, and also perform in other counties in the UK and Europe as well.  We will be back!”
Scotty McCreery and his wife Gabi tour London near the Tower Bridge over the weekend
before McCreery’s two sold-out London shows (Oct. 26 and 28).

“McCreery made it worth the wait for UK fans with one of the standout performances of Country Music Week...,” Entertainment-Focus said of the North Carolina native’s first London show. “He delivered a high-energy, fun and entertaining show with plenty of personality, excellent vocals and warm, easy-going stage presence, all adding up to create an absolutely electric atmosphere at Bush Hall. It’s clear that the UK audiences absolutely love him and based on their response last night hopefully it won’t be too long before he’s back here – and playing to even bigger venues…”

The five sold out shows on McCreery’s European Tour were as follows
Oct. 23 | Berlin, Germany | PrivatClub
Oct. 24 | Cologne, Germany | Helios 37
Oct. 26 | London, England | Bush Hall
Oct. 27 | Manchester, England | Manchester Academy 2
Oct. 28 | London, England | Bush Hall

“It was an absolute pleasure and honor to have Scotty McCreery and his team in Germany for our first Country Music Week,” said Sina Hall, Promoter, Semmel Concerts / Sound of Nashville. “They delivered two amazing sold-out shows with a dedicated audience that sang along to every word. We’re very much looking forward to working together more in the near future and build on this success.”

Scotty McCreery and wife Gabi visit the Historic Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, Germany on Tuesday, Oct. 22 before playing a sold-out show at PrivatClub on Wednesday, Oct. 23.

The first London show (Oct. 26) sold out in just over an hour when tickets originally went on sale, so a second show was quickly announced (Oct. 28) and it sold out in less than four hours. Due to demand, the Manchester show (10/27), which sold out within hours after going on sale, was upgraded into the larger Manchester Academy 2 venue, which also sold out.

“It was a delight to bring Scotty to the UK for the first time as part of Country Music Week,” said Alex Simmonds, Promoter, SJM Concerts. “Watching him perform such an intimate show at Bush Hall was electric. For the fans who were quick enough to grab a ticket to all three shows before they sold out, it will be a night I’m sure they won’t soon forget. We can’t wait to bring Scotty back to the UK in bigger venues and to more cities.”

McCreery will hit the road in the United States with Old Dominion on Nov. 1 in Tampa, kicking off a series of dates as part of the band’s “Make It Sweet” Tour. He will host the iHeartCountry “One Night for Our Military” Veteran’s Day radio special, airing on iHeartCountry radio stations on Nov. 11, where he will also perform along with artists Jason Aldean and Kelsea Ballerini. In December, the singer/songwriter will begin work on his next album, the follow up to Seasons Change, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart and featured two back-to-back No. 1 hits: the Platinum-certified “Five More Minutes” and the Platinum-certified “This is It,” as well as his current single “In Between,” which is climbing the country single charts.

Brenda Lee SINGS COUNTRY VOL 2-CD features the best tracks from her nine albums alongside hit singles.

Artist:    Brenda Lee
Album:  Sings Country Vol 2  Ultimate Country Collection
Label:      Humphead
Cat No:    HUMP 220
Rel Date: 4th October 2019

Promoted by Humphead Records, it’s been sent to BBC Country shows, independent stations and shows. Request to hear your favourite track

Though Brenda Lee cut her teeth on country music and her initial chart successes in the mid-1950s came on the country listings, she was not really considered a country singer until the 1970s when she recorded a series of classic modern country albums. Between 1971 and 1985 Brenda charted 32 singles on the American country charts including eight of them making the top 10.

In the first volume of BRENDA LEE SINGS COUNTRY, we featured all of those hit singles plus many of the excellent B-sides, most appearing on CD for the first.

In this second volume we have chosen the best tracks from the nine albums that Brenda recorded during that time. Alongside the hit singles, these original vinyl LPs also featured Brenda’s distinctive renditions of such then current hits by Johnny Nash (I Can See Clearly Now), Jean Shepard (Slippin’ Away), Merle Haggard (Everybody’s Had The Blues) and Barry White (You’re The First, the Last, My Everything).

Really lovely double disc, really like her later stuff, very nice album, some really nice ballads – Marie Crichton
BBC Radio Shropshire BBC Page

Album Of The Week 50 Tracks in total a cornucopia of country music. She’s got a great voice. There are songs recorded by other artists, she makes a cracking job of them as well. A classic album if you like country music like it used to be. Brenda Lee at her very best – Brian Clough The American Connection/ (CMA International Broadcaster 2009)

Alan Cackett wrote: I’m delighted to announce the release of two more 2-CD compilation sets for which I selected and compiled the tracks and also wrote the extensive and informative liner notes
The first is Brenda Lee Sings Country Vol. 2 (Humphead Records HUMP220) a 50-track collection that covers the country recordings that Brenda Lee made between 1972 and 1985. Included are Brenda’s distinctive renditions of such classics as Everybody’s Had the Blues, Please Don’t Tell Me How The Story Ends, Before the Next Teardrop falls, Loving Arms and We Had It All. The second release is Del Reeves Hits On the Billboard (HumpHead HUMP218) which covers all of Del’s country hits from 1965 through to 1978. This includes several truck-drivin’ classics like One Bum Town, Trucker’s Paradise, Belles Of Southern Bell and The Girl On the Billboard. Both releases are available online from www.humpheadcountry.com or Amazon and other retail outlets.

BRENDA LEE BIOGRAPHY
Once known as 'Little Miss Dynamite,' (she is under five feet), Brenda Lee was the world's most popular female singer from 1960-65. Something of a child prodigy, she burst upon the pop world as a fifteen-year-old with the million-selling Sweet Nuthin's in 1959. For the next six years she hardly put a foot wrong as she dominated the charts with a mix of teen angst ballads and uptempo rockers such as I'm Sorry, All Alone Am I, Dum Dum, Fool No.1, Break It To Me Gently and the perennial Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree.
Raised on country music, almost all of her pop hits were recorded in Nashville, with the same session players that were working on then current country hits by Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves, Eddy Arnold and Marty Robbins.

Following several minor hits in the States, Brenda hit the top in 1960 with I'm Sorry, one of the best pop songs from rather an indifferent era. The lyrics had everything a good teenage song should, and it really captured the times. Believing rock'n'roll to be a fad, but sensing they had a voice with long-term potential, Decca Records executives pushed Brenda toward supper-club shows and ballads such as I Want to Be Wanted, Emotions and Fool # 1 once she hit her mid-to-late teens. Such career moves may have cut into her hit-making days as a rock'n'roller, but they did give Brenda a broad foundation from which to build a lengthy career.

Now an elder statesperson of the Nashville pop-country crossovers of the 1960s, Brenda Lee remains a highly regarded and sophisticated international star. She is a member of the Rock and Roll, Country Music and Rockabilly Halls of Fame.
She is also a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.
She continues to tour worldwide, with a large and loyal following in Japan, Germany, the UK and Australia. In recent years she has served on various CMA boards and committees and been heavily involved in charitable organisations. As you listen to this selection of recordings, many appearing on CD for the first time, you can tell that despite all of her pop and rock'n'roll history, Brenda has always been first and foremost a bona fide country singer. – Alan Cackett
