New Single – ‘Bottom of My Heart'
Out on May 5th - The Bottom of My Heart
(Radio Edit) - Single
Hayley McKay's second single comes all the way from
Nashville courtesy of writers Bill Diluigi and Kimberly Paige (found via a SongLink lead
in 2016). It's a classic country track with a driving rhythm to which producer
Matthew Parisi has added an edgy rock vibe.
It’s undoubtedly Hayley's vocal, delivered with depth and
an amazing maturity, that sells the song. The lyrics come to life and you can
feel the emotion in every phrase. ‘Finding the right song to follow my debut
single, Unspoken,
was never going to be easy’, said Hayley. ‘But for me an upbeat, country track
was the right way to go. The fact that it’s written by two amazing Nashville
songwriters makes it really special - I just love singing this song!’
Hayley has performed in Nashville, played at Glastonbury,
Cornbury and Northumberland Live and supported music legends such as Albert
Lee, Skip Mcdonald, Tom Jones and Martha Reeves. She has achieved the accolade
of having her songs played in Caffé Nero’s chain of coffee stores worldwide and
is also a Prince’s Trust Ambassador.
You can see Hayley perform, with her band, at Durham Gala Theatre on May 13th and at Hardwick Live on Aug 19th.
