THINGS THAT WE DRINK TO
FIRST FULL-LENGTH U.S. RELEASE OUT OCTOBER 12TH
AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER NOW
FOLLOWS #1 DEBUT U.S. SINGLE ‘KISS SOMEBODY’
Fresh off his first U.S. #1 single ‘Kiss Somebody’ (>> YouTube), global Country star Morgan
Evans will continue the celebration with Things That We
Drink To, his full-length debut album with Warner Music Nashville / Warner
Bros. Records.
Releasing October 12th, the project is a musical reflection of Evans’ exciting journey since moving to Nashville from his home country of Australia.
Evans co-penned each track on Things That We Drink To alongside the album’s producer, Chris DeStefano. The two played every instrument heard on the sonically diverse project, showcasing Evans’ musicianship in addition to his adept songwriting.
“My album is a collection of songs that I wrote over the last two years,” says Evans. “It’s my story. It’s leaving behind everything and everyone you know to chase down a country music dream on the other side of the world. It’s the excitement of the unknown, it’s the fun, it’s the loneliness and it’s the struggle. It’s losing someone and finding the strength to keep your head up and make them proud. It’s meeting a girl, falling hopelessly and marrying the love of your life. It’s the ‘Things That We Drink To’.”
To get the party started now, fans will instantly receive five songs with a pre-order of Things That We Drink To, including ‘Day Drunk’ (>> YouTube), ‘Kiss Somebody’ and ‘American’ (>> YouTube) — Evans’ ode to the U.S. and the girl that makes it feel like home. Infectious love song ‘I Do’ (>> Spotify) and the carefree, live-in-the-moment anthem ‘Young Again’ (>> Spotify) round out the pre-order tracks. Click here to pre-order the album (iTunes).

Making a lasting first impression at Country radio with ‘Kiss
Somebody’, Evans pushes full-speed ahead with ‘Day Drunk’ –
the follow-up to his chart-topping debut. Dubbed a “slam-dunk” and
one of the "10 Best Country and Americana Songs of the
Week” by Rolling Stone, ‘Day Drunk’
has tallied on-demand streams in the millions and claimed the #1 spot
on Australia’s Country Airplay chart for eight consecutive weeks.
Last week, Evans delivered “one of the most original and stirring performances” , as reported by PEOPLE.com, of the album’s title track at the 12th annual ACM Honors, in memory of his former manager Rob Potts. MusicRow praised he “stunned the crowd with his super creative, multi-textured performance” with The Tennessean noting, “The crowd leaped to its feet.”
This weekend the magnetic entertainer will take the stage at star-studded US festivals including Red White & Boom and Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam. Then headlining a string of sold-out shows in Australia beginning September 5th, with support from UK rising star Catherine McGrath, he will return to the U.S. to support Chris Young on the Losing Sleep World Tour beginning September 13th.
