The Shires - Grand Ole Opry DEBUT! |
Playing Glastonbury was a dream come true, but there is so much more to come.
Getting the A list and playing BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park again is so fantastic, Radio 2 have been so supportive of us and we can’t thank them enough.
Also warming up the stage for Sir Tom is a pinch me moment for sure. We are also honoured to be invited by Michael Eavis to share the stage with Ray and Joan at the Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza. They are songwriting legends and an inspiration to us and all emerging songwriters out there. We can’t wait!”
Michael Eavis recently stated that: “The Shires… are making a name for themselves within months of being formed...” and Janet Bell, Abbey director, also recently added: “To have these world-class performers showcasing their talent in the abbey grounds is going to make a for a wonderful event...”
Following their summer shows, The Shires tour the UK in October, with performances across the UK and the tour beginning at Bedford Corn Exchange on 1 October and culminating in a headline show at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 24 October.
