The chart-topping single, which hit the Billboard Hot 100 chart earlier this year, marks the first No. 1 off of his highly-anticipated 11th studio album, HIGHWAY DESPERADO, out November 3rd.

According to Mediabase/ Country Aircheck published Monday 23 October 2023 (for the chart week October 17-23, 2023) it was congrats to Jason, Carson James, Lee Adams, Shelley Hargis, Scotty O’Brien and the Broken Bow promotion team on taking “Try That In A Small Town” to No. 1. This chart topper put him alone in ninth place on the list of all-time No.1s, breaking out of a tie with Don Williams.  “Try That In A Small Town"” (Macon Music/Broken Bow) moved 3-1 logging 9,129 radio spins (+890), 39.437 million audience impressions (+2.406 million) with 33540 Total Points from 151 tracking stations (151 ADDS) for the published chart dated October 23, 2023.
