Baytown, Texas -- Breelan Angel is releasing her newest recording, DIAMOND IN A RHINESTONE WORLD, on Friday, October 2, 2015 through MisBhavin' Records.
Following the success of her debut album, DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS, the new 7-track EP will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, all major digital retailers, and on Angel's website through INgrooves Music Group and indieExtreme; a pre-order is available now at UK iTunes, iTunesAmazon.com and Google Play

The lyric video of the opening track, "Rub a Little Dirt On It" (written by Angel with producer Trent Willmon and Tommy Karlas), features Angel enjoying summertime fun with friend and fellow Texas Country artist, Hunter Hutchinson, as she sings this lighthearted tune.
Check out and share the lyric video to Rub a Little Dirt On It which is one of Breelans fav new songs from the upcoming EP

Breelan shares: “This tune came out of thin air when Trent threw out a line about “rubbing a little dirt on it.” I’m a southern girl: I love to hunt, fish, go mudding on four-wheelers, and pretty much any other outdoor activity you can think of! This tune is right up my alley with catchy and light-hearted lyrics about just having fun”.

Diamond In A Rhinestone World

Working with artist and producer Trent Willmon (Cody Johnson, Josh Grider, Curtis Grimes), Angel and team have written and recorded a standout EP that fully defines her classic sound; featuring five co-written songs and two outside cuts, each track is a vivid echo of Angel's southern personality and style. Building on a trademark independent spirit and crafty, clever lyrics that are delivered with vocals steeped in country tradition, her talent is on full display as she settles in to capture every moment of life as a twenty-something in song.

I’ve admired Trent as an artist and writer for so long that working with him, as well as building a friendship that will last a lifetime, is a blessing,” she said. “He saw right away that I am a classic country kind of girl and that's the exact kind of album we recorded. Trent’s passion for classic country matched that of mine and I feel it really enhanced the whole sound of this record.”

"DIAMOND IN A RHINESTONE WORLD is such a special project and we are excited to get it out to country music fans," Angel exclaimed.  "The songs are a reflection of the pivotal time people my age are facing as they start thinking about settling down and making a life for themselves. An unplanned theme of 'diamonds' charts this course and the songs brought to life on this record touch on this and other forward-looking themes in a real and emotional way."

Inspired by Loretta Lynn, Shania Twain, Reba, and other strong female artists, Angel's fiery nature is ever present as she wields a shotgun on the cover and sings of taking a break from the stresses of life to songs like "Rub a Little Dirt On It" and "Drinkin' Round It."Known for sending a message to be true to one's self, Angel illustrates this notion with the tongue-in-cheek title track, "Rhinestone World," and the demanding "Coal Digger." Selections like "Nothing Cuts Like a Diamond" and "Winnebago" are more longing in nature while aiming straight for the heart.

Quick to assure that DIAMOND IN A RHINESTONE WORLD is very much “true to life,” Breelan knows that fans are looking for material filled with country color, raw emotion and southern charm.

I had a lot of time to write for DLS since it was a collection of moments I had gone through over the years, but this record came to life in a matter of months,” she stated. “Knowing exactly who I am right now made it that much easier to choose the songs for this record. Even the two outside cuts were spot on with some of what I've gone through since my last album.”

Reflecting on the past and looking towards the future, Breelan continues to build up her live performance and is looking forward to introducing new music on the road. In addition, as she heads out on radio tours and makes special appearances to introduce DIAMOND IN A RHINESTONE WORLD to fans, old and new, she hopes for as positive a reception as her previous music

About: A native of Baytown, Texas, Angel's career launched in 2012 with a radio single ("It's My Turn") followed by opening gigs for Loretta Lynn, Cody Johnson, Randy Rogers, Aaron Watson, Easton Corbin, Randy Houser, and more. Releasing five radio singles to national and Texas radio charts to date, her debut album, DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS, met with acclaim from critics and fans alike.

Having been "riding the high of it all" and enjoying many positive moments, Angel's successes have included: being the first female artist to be signed to the Bud Light Texas Country Music Sponsorship; seeing singles "Halfway To Wasted" and "Double Standards" reach the Top 40 on the MusicRow Country

Breelan is showing no signs of stopping.

Our Top Picks: *** Lighthouse Keeper's Daughter, ** Get Onboard , ** Sunshine Hot, * Far To Go
Take a listen to “Lighthouse Keeper's Daughter”

We love this track!
Lighthouse Keeper's Daughter is an historic ballad and was inspired by the upcoming ANZAC centenary. Cooper explores the tale of Fay Howe, the daughter of a Lighthouse Keeper living on Breaksea Island who purportedly used semaphore to translate messages to family and loved ones from ANZAC troops docked in King George's Sound, Albany. The story goes that Fay fell in love with an ANZAC soldier who tragically died on the beach at Gallipoli.
"I was really moved by this story and felt compelled to share it in musical form as there is something intrinsically tangible in the intimate nature of it. So many loved and lost at this time when international communication was slow and hazy at best and (in my opinion) their stories and strength helped to shape our cultural identity. I find the generation who lived through this period utterly inspiring." shared Caddy.

Critical reception for Caddy Cooper’s Outside The Wire:

For The Country Record (Andy Macbride) wrote: After my first listen of ‘Under The Wire’, it’s clear to see the various musical styles that influence Caddy’s music. I feel like I’m in a honky-tonk when I’m listening to ‘Get Onboard’ whereas I’m taken to a chilled acoustic set in a local bar in ‘My World and Everything In It’ then all the way to New Orleans with the bluesy ‘Last Night’s Lover’.

The aforementioned track ‘Get Onboard’ kicks of the album and gets you clicking your fingers and tapping your feet....Caddy’s vocals are impressive, and although she possesses a powerful vocal range, its beautifully controlled and what you’re left with is a sound as smooth as the cream on my hot chocolate....‘Lighthouse Keepers Daughter’ is the perhaps the most folksy track on the album, adopting a more nautical theme, a different story of a love between a soldier and his lover....Overall there are 15 tracks of a very consistent good quality....The thing I admire about Caddy, is that I’ve rarely heard someone so utterly comfortable within her sound, and how the delivery sounds so natural, un-rushed and all together beautiful...... Fans of blues and country will enjoy this album….Read More Test Drive the album on Spotify

The Blues Music Blog wrote: ….From the opening country shuffle of "Get On Board" to the rollicking blues of "I Be Leaving You" and the acapella/doo-wop track "I Love You In the Morning", Caddy Cooper has combined all the elements of country, blues and folk roots in an album that shines from start to finish. Definitely and "all-killer, no-filler" effort, Caddy's crisp and eloquent vocals combined with a HOT backup band that includes searing and twangy guitar licks, a shuffling back beat, "front porch" harmonica, complimenting backup harmonies and 2 stand out duets with Paul Carella. Caddy's songwriting skills are exceptional, well crafted and tell stories that will make you sit up and listen.

Threechordsandthetruth wrote: This album, a follow up to 2014’s SNAPSHOT, is bursting at the seams with songs designed to melt, engage and enthral the listener.

The treasure trove of glorious tracks effortlessly moves through a haze of late night lounge jazz blues onto more feet shuffling rock n’ roll, always paying the utmost respect to the style of the traditional songbook....OUTSIDE THE WIRE is a restless, feverish and marvellous album release by a talented artist determined to buck the trend.  Caddy Cooper has an ear for a great sound and the skill to produce a superlative record successful in steering its content in the right direction for many discerning fans of roots music....
